Chapter 1485: It’s a Trap

Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

“Foolish! Human children born with sixteen wings must have inherited their parents’ bloodline. Their parents are definitely not weaker than !” The nine-tailed fox’s voice thundered with authority.

“It’s a descendant of the feathered-n,” the black cockroach interjected hastily. “It seems to be a case of atavism.”

“Atavism?” The nine-tailed fox expressed disbelief.

A living being with an atavistic bloodline wouldn’t just revert to their ancestors like this.

Had the atavism phenonon in this family surpassed that of their ancestor?

Sothing didn’t add up.

...

It must be related to the biological parents.

“You should know that if this human cub succeeds, they will undoubtedly beco the future leader of the human race. Perhaps Chadwick Neal and the others were just like this when they were young,” the black cockroach added in a low voice.

“Chadwick Neal!” The nine-tailed fox’s furious roar reverberated through the sky, shattering surrounding stars into dust once more.

It was evident there was deep-seated animosity between them.

After calming down, the nine-tailed fox didn’t respond imdiately.

“We’re here on orders because we know you’re skilled in divination,” the black cockroach continued. “If we can use this to deduce the coordinates of the two human cubs, we Zergs will spare no effort to eliminate them.”

To their surprise, the nine-tailed fox remained silent.

It seed the two entities underestimated its cooperation.

These “small fries” weren’t enough to sway its decision.

As expected!

“Demonic fox!” An ethereal voice echoed from the distant starry sky. “If you deduce the coordinates of the two children and provide them to the Zergs, 10,000 years of your tribulation will be reduced!”

“30,000 years!” The nine-tailed fox retorted coldly.

“Agreed!” The ethereal voice responded promptly.

A black vortex materialized beside the black star, and an old fox erged slowly.

The fox appeared emaciated, like a collection of bones.

Standing at two ters tall, with straight hind legs, it walked with a human-like gait, but with a three-foot-long sword strapped to its back.

The sword hilt was connected to the entire black star, impossible to draw.

Pulling it out would unleash a terrifying sword intent capable of obliterating the old fox’s soul imprint, rendering rebirth a distant dream.

With nine black tails swaying, the old fox extended its left claw and lightly tapped the starry sky, creating ripples.

The scene previously shown by the cockroach replayed before them.

Trevon Neal’s image distorted and vanished, transforming into a white thread that delicately wrapped around the old fox’s fingertip.

Closing its eyes, the old fox ushered chaos into the universe above its head.

Gradually, all forces in the vicinity warped, distorting ti and space.

Amidst the chaos, the old fox delved into deduction, conjuring a magnificent star map before him.

Encompassing 10,000 miles, the map depicted a vast region of the universe, with the Milky Way Empire at its core—Earth nestled within its territory.

Truly capable, this old fox.

If it succeeded in pinpointing Trevon’s location…

Not only Braydon Neal’s family would face extermination.

The entire Earth would face annihilation.

Just as the nine-tailed fox delved into deduction, a sudden change manifested in the starry sky above him.

A formidable sword intent descended, striking terror into all who felt it.

It seed to embody the essence of the sword, capable of cutting through ti and piercing through countless layers of space—a true temporal blade.

“Who dares to impede ?!”

The nine-tailed fox bellowed, but received no response.

The assailant remained concealed within the starry expanse, activating the sword’s power only when a living being attempted to deduce Trevon’s whereabouts and destiny.

With a terrifying force, the sword intent descended, leaving the nine-tailed fox in dread.

This killing tribulation rivaled its pri, leaving it virtually half-crippled within its prison.

How could it possibly resist?

“Old Crane!” it cried out.

“Sigh, such karmic troubles,” a resigned ethereal voice replied.

A white crane materialized, enveloping the entire black star and deflecting the sword’s terrifying force.

But a sword still fell.

As white feathers drifted, a single drop of blood seed to erge.

“It’s you, Oakley Lyman!” The ethereal voice seethed with anger.

Oakley, one of the chiefs of the eight lineages of the human race, had concealed a trace of sword intent within Trevon’s fate.

Anyone who touched it would face misfortune.

Though placed recently, he had not anticipated it being triggered so swiftly.

In the cosmos headquarters of the human race, an important figure imdiately sensed the disturbance—a calculation of Trevon’s fate was underway.

However, the human race headquarters in the cosmos remained passive, simply observing the unfolding events.

The killers deployed by the chiefs of the eight lineages still lingered—a foreboding threat to anyone who dared to ddle.

In the blink of an eye, 100,000 three-foot-long swords materialized above the black star, each strike as nacing as the last.

“The Myriad Transformation Sword Technique?” the ethereal voice exclaid. “Who is this youngster? To coax Oakley Lyman into concealing a strand of sword intent that is equivalent to using 10,000 years of his cultivation!”

“How would I know about the troubles you’ve caused?!”

The nine-tailed fox erupted in fury.

How could the Zergs enter this space prison without the consent of Old Crane and the others, let alone target him?

Fortunately, the white crane remained steadfast in its defense.

With the sword tide imminent, the roars of a crane, dragon and tiger resounded in unison.

The crane spread its wings, sweeping away 20,000 swords, while the dragon soared, devouring 40,000. anwhile, the tiger’s roar shattered the heavens, obliterating 40,000 swords and scattering countless stars across a 90,000-mile expanse.

Relieved yet grim-faced, the nine-tailed fox cast a withering glance at the two black cockroaches, contemplating swallowing them whole for their treachery.

Three drops of blood essence descended from the sky, each from the saint beasts, all bearing injuries.

Without hesitation, the nine-tailed fox seized the opportunity and devoured them.

“Three drops of blood essence, forced out by us. Each contains Oakley Lyman’s sword intent. If we don’t obliterate them, we’ll have to swallow them,” the Old Crane’s ethereal voice resonated.

The nine-tailed fox fell silent at once.

Ingesting such essence ant inviting death.

“It’s a human child,” a majestic dragon’s roar echoed. “The chief seems to value it. There must be a significant secret within.”

“This child’s fate cannot be scrutinized any further,” the crane intervened, putting an end to the matter.

After all, the crane’s divination skills surpassed even those of the nine-tailed fox.

The risk was too great.

The nine-tailed fox, having narrowly escaped calamity, snorted.

“You’re asking for trouble. Don’t entangle in your sches. I’ve done enough. Reduce my tribulation by 30,000 years!”

“Unseal this child’s fate. I promise to release you once we enter the Divine Temple today,” a third voice, that of the tiger, chid in with cold resolve.

The nine-tailed fox fell silent, torn between desire for freedom and the looming risks.

Just prying into the fate of a human child had invited such a disaster.

“This is the final ti,” the nine-tailed fox gritted its teeth. “Whether successful or not, you must release !”

“Alright,” ca the agreent, followed unexpectedly by a fourth voice, pledging the release of the nine-tailed fox upon agreent.
