Chapter 519: The Heavens Shall Fall (LX)

Shing...!

The Heaven Swallowing Sword and the Midnight Sword materialized in his grip, both humming with hunger.

The Heaven Swallowing Sword pulsed with devouring hunger, while the Midnight Sword’s edge glead with impossible sharpness that could cut through concepts themselves.

Nyarlathotep let out a deafening, multi-voiced laugh that shook the entire citadel.

"Then let us dance, Root of Chaos!"

Hundreds of slick, oily tentacles erupted toward Aestrea like living spears, each one lined with screaming mouths and blinking eyes.

Aestrea didn’t dodge and instead t them head-on.

He swung both swords in wide arcs, the Midnight Sword cutting through tentacles with impossible sharpness while the Heaven Swallowing Sword devoured the madness energy on contact.

Golden-black ichor sprayed across the ice as severed tentacles exploded into frozen shards.

"Not enough!" Nyarlathotep bellowed.

A wave of pure conceptual madness erupted from his central eye, an attack ant to shatter minds.

Aestrea’s chaos energy flared violently, nullifying it before it could touch him. At the sa ti, he summoned his Authority of Ice.

The entire battlefield flash-froze. Massive spikes of black ice erupted from the ground, impaling dozens of tentacles and locking them in place.

Aestrea leaped high into the air, spinning both swords above his head.

『 First Move! (?? Ice Lotus Bloom ??) 』

A perfect lotus of razor-sharp ice petals ford around him and exploded outward, shredding through everything in its path.

Nyarlathotep countered by opening hundreds of new mouths across his body, firing beams of pure entropy and screaming madness.

The beams collided with the ice lotus, creating violent explosions that shattered entire sections of the citadel.

Aestrea weaved through the beams with terrifying speed, using short bursts of chaos energy to blink from spot to spot.

He closed the distance again and drove the Midnight Sword straight into one of Nyarlathotep’s massive tentacles, pinning it to the ground.

The Heaven Swallowing Sword followed, stabbing deep and devouring the essence of the tentacle.

"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!"

Nyarlathotep roared in pain as part of his being was consud.

But the Outer God was far from helpless.

A colossal tentacle thicker than a mountain slamd down from above like a falling sky. Aestrea crossed both swords above his head and tanked the hit directly.

KAAAAAAAAAAAAABBOOOOOOOOOOOOM——————————!!!!!!!

The impact cratered the ground beneath him, but he held firm. Black chaos energy flared around his body as he pushed back against the imnse weight.

"Authority of the Abyss!"

A swirling black vortex opened beneath Nyarlathotep, trying to drag the colossal being into the endless void.

The Outer God laughed maniacally and countered by releasing waves of writhing flesh that plugged the vortex.

"You’re strong," Nyarlathotep hissed through thousands of mouths.

"But I am legion!"

Hundreds of new tentacles burst from his body, each one transforming into grotesque copies of ancient gods and monsters he had consud over eons.

They charged at Aestrea from every direction.

Aestrea’s eyes narrowed.

"Authority of Ruin."

Everything the copies touched began to decay and crumble into dust. He spun into their midst, swords flashing in a deadly dance.

The Midnight Sword cut through their bodies with surgical precision while the Heaven Swallowing Sword consud their stolen divinity.

Explosions of black ice and devouring energy lit up the battlefield as Aestrea tore through the horde.

Nyarlathotep responded by opening his central eye wide.

A beam of pure, unfiltered madness that could erase existence itself shot toward Aestrea.

Aestrea t it head-on.

"Authority of Defiance!"

His chaos energy roared as he pushed forward, literally defying the beam. The clash created a cataclysmic explosion that leveled the surrounding ice spires.

Both beings were forced back several hundred ters.

Neither had gained a clear advantage.

Swooosh!

Aestrea’s black hair whipped wildly in the chaotic winds. His body was covered in minor cuts and corrosive burns, but they were already healing under layers of black energy.

Nyarlathotep’s colossal form was missing several massive chunks, frozen solid and crumbling, yet new flesh was rapidly regenerating.

The Crawling Chaos laughed again, the sound shaking the entire citadel.

"Magnificent! This is what I wanted!"

He surged forward, tentacles and reality-warping screams converging on Aestrea from every angle.

Aestrea answered with equal ferocity.

『 Modified Second Move! (?? Ice Lotus Barrage ??) 』

Hundreds of spinning ice lotuses erupted around him like deadly chakrams, each one reinforced with raw chaos energy.

They tore into Nyarlathotep’s regenerating tentacles, freezing and shattering them mid-regrowth.

Nyarlathotep responded with pure savagery.

Thousands of tentacles exploded outward in a storm of flesh and eyes. Each tentacle split into smaller ones mid-flight, turning the attack into a living net of horror.

At the sa ti, the colossal golden eye flared, releasing a barrage of conceptual beams that warped space itself.

Aestrea weaved through the chaos like a shadow.

He used short bursts of Authority of the Abyss to blink between attacks, appearing and disappearing in bursts of black mist.

Wherever he reappeared, his swords flashed.

Shing, swip!

The Midnight Sword severed tentacles precisely.

The Heaven Swallowing Sword bit deep and ate, consuming not just flesh, but the very essence and stolen divinity within them.

Nyarlathotep roared in fury.

"You dare consu ?!"

A wave of pure madness erupted from every mouth across his body, causing the air itself to fracture in an instant.

Aestrea crossed both swords in front of him.

"Authority of Defiance!"

His chaos energy surged like a black sun, forcefully rejecting the madness. The scream slamd into him, but broke apart like waves against an unbreakable cliff.

He pushed forward through the storm.

『 Third Move! (?? Moonlight’s One Flash ??) 』

Aestrea vanished in a streak of moonlight and darkness.

He reappeared directly in front of Nyarlathotep’s central golden eye and slashed horizontally with everything he had.

Shing!

The cut was perfect.

The colossal eye split open, golden-black fluid erupting like a geyser as reality around the wound distorted violently.

Nyarlathotep’s entire body convulsed in agony.

But the Outer God retaliated instantly.

A dozen ultra-thick tentacles, each one the size of a mountain range, slamd down like divine hamrs.

Aestrea barely had ti to raise both swords in an X-block.

KABOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!

The impact drove him straight into the frozen ground, carving a mile-long crater. The shockwave shattered half the citadel’s remaining spires.

Aestrea rose from the rubble, breathing steadily, minor cracks forming across his chaos armor before healing instantly.

"Not bad," he muttered.

Nyarlathotep’s laughter shook the palace again.

"You really are entertaining! Let’s see how long you last!"

The Crawling Chaos fully unleashed his power.

Hundreds of new grotesque forms birthed from his body... those nightmarish amalgamations of devoured gods, ancient horrors, and twisted concepts.

They charged at Aestrea from every direction while the main body fired beams of pure entropy and opened rifts that tried to swallow him into infinite madness.

’Tsk... I’ll try a combo!’

Aestrea answered with overwhelming force.

"Authority of Ruin!"

Everything the nightmare copies touched began to decay at a conceptual level. He spun into their midst like a black whirlwind, swords dancing in a lethal symphony.

『 Fourth Move! (?? Lunar Collapse ??) 』

A colossal black-ice moon ford above the battlefield and crashed down, crushing hundreds of the copies and freezing large sections of Nyarlathotep’s main body solid.

『 Modified Fifth Move! (?? Thousand-Lotus Guillotine ??) 』

Thousands of razor ice lotuses ford in the air and rained down like a storm of execution blades.

The sound of cutting flesh and shattering ice filled the citadel as Aestrea carved through the horde.

Nyarlathotep countered by transforming parts of his body into living voids, swallowing the lotuses whole, then retaliated with a point-blank beam of concentrated madness straight at Aestrea’s chest.

Aestrea tanked it.

"Authority of Ice

Chaos Fusion!"

He created a shield of black ice reinforced with pure chaos. The beam shattered the shield, but Aestrea used the montum to launch himself forward like a missile.

『 Sixth Move! (?? Moonlight Descent ??) 』

He brought both swords down in a devastating overhead strike.

The impact created a vertical slash of moonlight and darkness that cleaved straight through Nyarlathotep’s colossal body, nearly splitting him in half.

"ARGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!"

The Outer God scread, but imdiately began regenerating at terrifying speed.

Neither combatant had gained a decisive edge.

Aestrea’s black hair whipped wildly as he landed, breathing slightly heavier but eyes still burning with battle lust.

Minor wounds covered his body, but they were already closing under layers of chaos energy.

Nyarlathotep’s colossal form was heavily damaged, massive frozen sections crumbling, countless eyes destroyed, and tentacles severed, yet he continued laughing with pure joy.

It was if this was still a re ga to him.

"More! Give

more! This is what I desired!"

At those mocking words, Aestrea’s eyes narrowed dangerously.

He decided to try and one shot him directly.

Black chaos energy erupted violently from his body as he raised both swords high above his head. The runes floating around him flared brighter than ever before.

『 Seventh Move! (?? Absolute Zero Eclipse ??) 』

The entire Eternal Frost Citadel plunged into darkness.

An enormous black sun of pure ice and chaos ford in the sky above them, blotting out all light and freezing the very concept of warmth.

The eclipse descended with cataclysmic force, carrying the weight of absolute nothingness.

Nyarlathotep roared and unleashed everything he had in response.

Thousands of tentacles surged upward like a tidal wave of flesh and eyes, firing countless beams of pure madness and entropy.

The two forces collided in the center of the palace.

KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM—!!!

A cataclysmic explosion ripped through the citadel. Half the palace was instantly vaporized. The shockwave shattered mountains of ice for miles around.

When the light returned...

Aestrea had closed the distance in that single mont of chaos.

He appeared directly in front of Nyarlathotep’s colossal central eye, both swords glowing with devastating power.

"Die."

He brought both blades down in a perfect, synchronized strike.

Shing!

The Heaven Swallowing Sword and Midnight Sword cleaved straight through the Outer God’s body with terrifying force.

The cut was so clean and powerful that it sliced Nyarlathotep diagonally from the top of his central mass all the way down.

Half of his body was completely severed.

A horrifying screech echoed across the frozen wasteland as the left half of Nyarlathotep’s colossal form, tentacles, eyes, mouths, and all, was sliced clean off and sent crashing into the distance, frozen solid and rapidly crumbling into black dust.

Golden-black ichor exploded outward like a geyser, painting the ice palace in corrosive fluid.

For a brief, glorious mont, Aestrea saw his chance.

He blurred forward, swords raised for the finishing blow, aiming to destroy the remaining half before it could regenerate.

But Nyarlathotep was faster than expected.

The severed half of his body exploded into a storm of writhing flesh and tentacles.

In less than a second, it surged back toward the main body and began fusing with horrifying speed. New eyes, mouths, and tentacles sprouted violently as the Outer God forcibly reconnected himself.

Aestrea’s swords ca down, but only struck regenerating flesh.

"Tsk..."

He clicked his tongue in clear annoyance, leaping back to avoid a counter-swipe from newly ford tentacles.

Nyarlathotep’s laughter returned, weaker at first, but quickly regaining its manic strength.

His body was still reforming, half of him visibly damaged and frozen, but he was healing at an absurd rate.

"Hahahaha...! Close! So very close!" the Crawling Chaos roared, his voice distorted with both pain and excitent.

"You nearly had

there, little god!"
