536: Chapter 536: Great Hero 536: Chapter 536: Great Hero As dusk fell.

Qin Jun and the others walked along the bustling streets, which were brightly lit.

At nightfall, the streets of Bianhai City were even more crowded, with the presence of won and children conspicuously surprising.

In Qin Jun’s view, beasts generally preferred to prowl at night, and the later it got, the fewer the people there should be.

The peculiar Bianhai City.

“It is said that Bianhai City was once just a small village, far away from the coast, until one day, the Green Fox King led the Sea Demon Clan of the Southernmost Sea to invade the Eastern Fla Domain.

As a result, coastal cities and villages were plunged into a hellish nightmare.”

Liu Ruolai, trailing alongside Qin Jun, narrated the legend of Bianhai City.

Though her cultivation was weak, she had a fondness for learning about the history of the Eastern Fla Domain and the customs of different places, thus she was sowhat useful.

“Until one day, a man nad Bianhai appeared.

He was incredibly powerful, wielding a divine sword, and drove away the beast tide.

Bianhai City was then constructed by the Dongfang Domain Master to honor him, to inspire reverence among the populace, and to ensure his na would endure in the annals of history.”

Liu Ruolai’s face revealed a look of longing; born and bred in the Eastern Fla Domain, every child there had heard this legend.

For the people of the Human Clan in the Eastern Fla Domain, Bianhai was a hero.

If the Green Fox King had led the Demon Clan ashore, the course of the Eastern Fla Domain’s history might have been altered, and tens of millions, or perhaps even more, of people would have perished at the jaws of the beasts.

“So did this Bianhai also die in that war?” Qin Jun asked with a teasing smile.

For the Dongfang Domain Master, who had dominated the Eastern Fla Domain for ten thousand years, to need soone else to guard his territory—Qin Jun found this Domain Master quite weak.

As for Bianhai, although Qin Jun was willing to do good deeds, he never had the heart to sacrifice himself for others.

He was willing to do as much good as he could, but he would not exchange his own life for the sake of saving others, no matter how great the number; of course, if it were soone he cared about, he might be willing to give his all.

“Yes, it is said that after the war ended, he disappeared, having sustained severe injuries before vanishing,” Liu Ruolai tilted her head and said.

Poor fellow.

Qin Jun reflected inwardly; for such people, he held no right to reproach, only respect, but he would never choose to be such a person.

“Hmph, dying for the greater good of the Human Clan is not pitiable at all!” Ji Yongsheng’s voice suddenly rose.

Qin Jun couldn’t help but curl his lip, thinking, that must have been the case with you, and yet look at you now, neither human nor ghost.

Most crucially, the Holy Court was still destroyed.

“I have not lost, I still have a chance!” Ji Yongsheng’s tone returned to calm.

“Where do you find the chance?” Qin Jun asked disdainfully.

After countless years, who knew whether those deities of old were still around.

“You are the chance!”

“Pfft…

damn it!

You really do plan to possess !” Qin Jun said, almost spitting blood, as the truth was exposed.

A repugnant conspiracy!

“Hmph!

I, the mighty war god of the Holy Court, would never resort to such despicable acts as possession!

And I couldn’t even if I wanted to, because you and I are one; to force possession would only lead to mutual destruction, eradicating us both in the river of fate,” Ji Yongsheng snorted coldly.

Qin Jun listened, baffled and annoyed, “Could it be that you are my past life?

You speak in such mystical terms.”

However, Ji Yongsheng fell silent and no longer replied.

Qin Jun didn’t bother to ponder it any further and focused on preparing for tonight’s auction.

An eighth-grade magical ship seed to be quite rare, and there would definitely be many vying for it; he needed to sell so useless items in exchange for spiritual stones.

Soon, they entered the trading area, where stalls were set up selling all manner of items, and others were buying.

“This is what life is all about,” Tang Sanzang exclaid.

Yang Jian and the Nine-Headed Insect lingered at different stalls, while Zhu Bajie and Diting didn’t follow; those two were probably loitering around so grilled at and wine establishnt.

Qin Jun began selling unneeded magical implents, cultivation thods, and spell scrolls, but because there were too many, he had to keep changing stalls, which drew the attention of more and more cultivators.

“Could this kid have stumbled upon a trove of storage rings?”

“Probably not.

Look at his attire and deanor; clearly, he’s no ordinary man.”

“With his set-up, he must be gearing up for tonight’s Iron Institution auction!”

“We’d better not ss with him; things have been unstable in the Eastern Fla Domain lately.”

Fellow cultivators nearby whispered amongst themselves and sensibly refrained from disturbing Qin Jun.

Midnight drew closer.

Once Qin Jun had sold everything he could, he was satisfied and led his entourage toward the Iron Institution.

As they approached the Iron Institution, they hadn’t yet entered the gate when they could hear bustling noises from inside.

Elder Li, who had been waiting for a long ti, bead with a broad smile as soon as he saw Qin Jun, “Young Master Qin, we’ve been waiting a long ti for you.

The auction is about to start; let take you inside.”

Qin Jun nodded, curious to see what treasures the night’s auction might unfold.

Apart from the eighth-grade magical ship, he hoped there would be other useful treasures.

Following Elder Li through the gates of the Iron Institution, Qin Jun saw the circular steps already filled with cultivators, and at the top of the iron walls, many crystals emitting dazzling light illuminated the entire auction hall.

Guided by Elder Li up the staircase, Qin Jun and his party drew the attention of many cultivators attending the auction, for Elder Li held a not-insignificant position within the Iron Institution.

“Zhu Bajie and Diting are still outside, should we not concern ourselves with them?” Liu Ruolai reminded.

“Why bother with them?

They’re not of any help.

Bringing them might cause trouble,” Qin Jun waved dismissively, smiling.

Given the strengths of Zhu Bajie and Diting, there probably weren’t many in Bianhai City who could trouble them.

Liu Ruolai reflected and realized that before Yang Jian and others had appeared, Zhu Bajie had indeed once shown great might, leaving her in awe at the ti.

Soon, Elder Li led Qin Jun and the others to the seventh VIP room on the top tier.

The room was screened with muslin, so no one could see inside.

Inside the room was a table laden with fine wines and dishes, and four beautiful exotic won awaited them.

“Welco, esteed predecessors.”

The four won bowed in sync, their voluptuous figures and seductive smiles on their faces capable of stirring any man’s heart.

Qin Jun looked on in wonder, then chuckled, “I didn’t expect you to offer health services here as well.”

Health services?

All present showed perplexed expressions, as Liu Ruolai crossed her arms before her chest and huffed, “Have you taken a fancy to them?”

“If Young Master Qin wishes, they can be yours tonight,” Elder Li eagerly said, to which Liu Ruolai glared at him fiercely.

Qin Jun waved his hand dismissively; these won had already been embraced and kissed by many, and he found them unclean.

“That will be all, you may go now,” Qin Jun said to Elder Li with a smile.

As for the four exotic won, he decided to keep them around to massage his shoulders and legs.

Elder Li nodded and then turned to depart.

Qin Jun casually chose a chair to sit in, then gestured for one of the exotic won behind him to begin massaging his shoulders.

Seeing Qin Jun enjoying himself made Liu Ruolai even more upset, but she couldn’t say anything and just sat in the corner, sulking.

“Who would have thought, such a modest auction could gather two Mysterious Immortals, and one of them is even a demon,” Yang Jian marveled.
