....
"Haha" Azmond responded with an awkward laugh as he looked in the other direction.
The 'play it off cool' objective has failed!
All he was hoping for now was that Boundless would be capable of winning Crystalline over one way or another. Although he wasn't confident in her being able to accomplish that, given her 'personality' and all...
.....
anwhile, Boundless, who had been brooding over what she should say this entire ti, finally mustered up the voice to 'introduce' herself.
|Nice to et you, bimbo cow! I am Boundless! You can also call the other half of Azmond!| She exclaid with a large, radiant smile as she extended her hand out.
"..."
Both Azmond and Crystalline couldn't believe this was the 'introduction' she spent so much ti pondering over.
Nonetheless, Azmond didn't have the luxury to stare blankly at Boundless, as a certain dark aura started to build up next to him.
"Do-Don't listen to her, My Love, you see, she is not the smartest bolt in the tool shop! She's still struggling on the edge of being obtuse and ntally impaired!" Azmond muttered as his hands went to cover up the mouth of Boundless.
|Mhmff!| Boundless was trying to continue her 'introduction' ; however, her voice ca out as nothing more than a muffle.
|!!!|
She looked up 'angrily' at Azmond! She couldn't believe he was preventing her from giving out her 'well thought out speech'!
However, he was too preoccupied with assuaging the emotions of Crystalline to bother with the grievances of Boundless.
Azmond could already see the annoyance on Crystalline's face, and if he didn't glue this sinking ship together, then he would never be able to venture out into the Great Wildlands Forest again.
After all, Azmond had to leave by himself if he wanted to confidently infiltrate the 'Nightmare Council'. So bringing Crystalline along would be a big no-no!
There had to be minimal amounts of bad blood between the two of them if he wished to make it out of this situation with a 'happy'ish' Crystalline, and whatever Boundless usually was
"Is that so?" Crystalline questioned with a doubtful expression.
She didn't know if she should believe him on that one. After all, wasn't this 'Boundless' supposed to be so all-powerful embodint of an abstruse concept like a 'system'?
But Azmond wouldn't give her the chance to dwell too much on that subject, as his agitated voice soon sounded out.
"Yes, Yes! That is most definitely the case! She's not too well-off in the thinking departnt and requires very long, extended periods of ti to be able to properly formulate speech," he began with a brittle tone. "You see, we rushed her a little bit.
So she ca out with so nonsense like that; you really need not mind her!"
Azmond was using every card he knew of, as he even started to rub Crystalline's shoulders to help 'soothe' her nerves. And it seed to be working as those furrowed-up brows of hers started to co down a little.
At least they were, until a certain girl started to speak again...
|What are you talking about, Azmond!? I'm not stupid! I'm smart, you dumb baka!| She retorted with a vexed look on her face.
Her arms just so happened to cross underneath her two milky white breastsresulting in those 'assets' of hers being pointed out for everyone to see.
*Jiggle Jiggle*
They bounced a little.
*Pop*
A vein popped up on Crystalline's head, as that personality and those 'weapons' made for the worst combination when attempting to properly 'greet' her.
This had to be the worst first impression she had ever gotten in her entire life! It was even on the sa level as the first ti she t the hateful man beside her!
"!?" Azmond beca a little freaked out upon hearing that girl open her lips again!
"Haha! She's such a jokester, but don't mind her!" He announced with a hoarse voice.
And his body wasn't far behind, as he had already made his way over to Boundless's mouth and covered up that trouble-making hole of hers.
"How about we continue talking about the topic that we were discussing while in bed? The one about you needing to go back to your sectthe 'Hidden Lotus Syndicate'and take your place as the rightful heiress of the sect," Azmond ntioned with a 'composed' smile.
He was doing everything in his power to change the topic of this discussion as soon as possible. Lest that big-mouthed brown-eyed beauty spout even more nonsense.
...
It wasn't like Azmond wanted to talk about this matter to begin with, considering that Crystalline would have to leave for an indefinite period of tior at least until he beca strong enough to take her backbut Azmond had no other option if he wished to change the topic!
You see, the truth is that a Tribulation Transcendence Elder of the 'Hidden Lotus Syndicate' contacted Crystalline a few days ago, and she had ordered Crystalline to return to the sect grounds within a month's ti.
And if she didn't comply, then the elder would have to take her back by force!
Azmond was, of course, extrely unhappy about this arrangent and even started to plot ways to evade the sight of the Tribulation Transcendence Elder as they would attempt to make their escape from the City of RiverBloom.
However, Crystalline soon denied that 'plan' as she figured that this was as good a ti as any to head back to her sect and take back her spot as the sect leader!
And although there would be so competition among the Heiress's, it would be nothing that she couldn't handle. After all, it wasn't like they would go off trying to kill each other.
In the end, they were still sisters of the sa sact before they were heiress's candidates. And even if one of the Heiress candidates did decide to go off the deep end and 'get rid of the competition'.
The elders and Supre Elders of her sect would never allow such a thing and would intervene before any real damage was done.
