"Let's see how you deal with this, human vermin!!!" The basilisk bellowed out in an ancient tone before yet another twenty thousand-ter-wide dragon materialized above his figure!

The gray dragon released a nacing aura as it gazed down at an ant-like figure attempting to disobey its might!!
In response to such a dramatic attack, a detached voice reverberated throughout the skies:
"Using the sa attack again? Don't you have anything stronger?"
"?!?"
Azmond's bored tone found its way to the City Lord and the Basilisk as they both stared on with baffled looks on their faces!

'What does he an by that?? Does he not fear my overwhelming, irresistible might!? How can this be!?'
The basilisk couldn't understand why this human didn't fear his unlimited power! Was it a stupid human or sothing??
"Ha! You can't fool with that cool and collected facade of yours, puny human! I will show you my full power!!" He roared with clear irritation in his voice.
"Okay," Azmond responded with an uninterested tone.
"You insolent Human!!!!" The basilisk bellowed.
Following such a roar was the unleashnt of the twenty thousand-ter-wide dragon suspended above his head!
RUMBLE!!
The earth tens of thousands of ters below them started to violently tremble from the pure energy being emitted from the basilisk!
"Isn't this the exact sa thing you did last ti?" Azmond asked with a disinterested look on his face.
He honestly thought he would at least co out a little stronger when compared to the last ti; however, he did nothing more than conjure up a spell with the sa level of power.
WHOOOM!
The dragon spiraled down to the earth as it was about to devour him whole!
"... How la" A heavy sigh escaped Azmond.
Disappointnt was an understatent for what he was feeling when the gray dragon nearly touched his robes.
SLASH!
A crimson-colored crescent blade launched out of his katana as his cold gaze looked up at the dark gray dragon.
Sckkk!
Its twenty thousand-ter-long body split into two as the energy that made it up was subsequently dispersed!
However, the crescent blade didn't stop with just that, as it continued blitzing through the air until it reached the bewildered figure of the basilisk.
"Ho-How could this be" The basilisk let out a groan of unacceptance.
His body was split in half the sa way as the dark-gray dragon.
Spurt!
Green and red blood gushed out of the part where it was severed, as the City of RiverBloom was showered in a gory ss of basilisk blood!
"You couldn't even take on a single strike, and yet you were so cocky? Truly a disappointnt," Azmond muttered with a dull expression before he called the clean-up crew.
"Devour, Emu."
"Mhmu!"
His katana wiggled a little before morphing into a giant, disportionate black hole-like form.
Chomp!
It devoured the corpse of the colossal basilisk as Azmond was bombarded with a wide assortnt of system notifications.

Azmond received a plethora of pop-up notifications as he looked over his rewards and imdiately noticed that he had acquired gold!
Gold!
The resource that everyone used in fantasy worlds! He had finally gotten such a resource for himself!
However, a different train of thought flowed into his mind as he realized sothing odd.
"I wonder why I didn't get gold up until now? I killed a 'few' monsters before this, didn't I? Hey Bou-"
He was about to ask the embodint of the system herself, but she was one step ahead.

Boundless's bubbly voice dripped into his ears as she leaned over his shoulder, letting those two 'funbags' nacingly loom over his left side.

Azmond felt the sudden urge to check out his System Interface, however, before he could...
"Thank you very much for helping and my city out, young friend!" The City Lord's antiquated voice echoed out in his ears.
"Hmm?" Azmond imdiately noticed a misunderstanding between the two of them. So he brought it up.
"I didn't do it for you or your city, old dude. I had my own reasons for taking out that basilisk," he clarified with an earnest expression.
After all, he really didn't take care of that monster for the sake of the people or even for this unfortunate City Lord. He simply did it for the huge...

That's right! He was only in it for the Experience points to be gained!

The City Lord, upon hearing the 'humble' words spoken by his savior, imdiately understood what was going on!
"No need to be shy, youngster! Don't worry, I will keep this little secret between the two of us!"
He attempted to assuage Azmond's 'shyness' with his words, as he promised himself to keep the youngster's 'secret'.
"???" Question marks went off in Azmond's head.
'What is this old dude talking about? What secret??'
His expression took on another level of confusion as he looked at the City Lord like he was looking at a crazy old coot.
He thought the old dude was similar to him when it ca to his won, and that seed to be true. But this City Lord also turned out to be a little weirder than he expected.
"Don't worry, I will not tell another soul about your power! You have my word on that! Hahaha!"
Now the City Lord was the one patting him on the back while rauciously laughing!
"????" Azmond was left baffled at the attitude of this old guy.
