'Fucking black-hearted!' Ian clicked his tongue. 'It's nonsense to do that. It's better to enhance my physical body to planetary-level, and I'll be able to bear the heat of the laser naturally.'
Of course, for him now, fifty thousand biomass was actually not that much, and he could easily gather them. As he thought of this, a hint of pain appeared on Ian's expression. Damn! He actually wasted potential biomass!
His laser eye had eradicated the humanoid ant and the rest that could have provided him with thousands of biomass... What a pity!
"Grand Elder, let's go. I could feel the aura of other beasts in the remaining half of the island. They seem to be far stronger than those just now."
"I don't think we should proceed. I could feel one energy signature seed to be even beyond us!" With hesitation, the Grand Elder looked at the half-floating island solemnly. "Even with my ultimate eye ability, I'm not confident enough to kill."
Hearing such an evaluation from the Grand Elder himself, Ian's eyebrows also knotted. With a frown, he closed his eyes, and his perception enveloped the entire island. At this ti, he could feel several energy levels on par with the Grand Elder, and there was even one that seed to be stronger than the rest.
'Hmmm... They seem to be guarding sothing? What could it possibly be?' In doubt, Ian began to focus on the spot behind the one with the strongest aura and he saw a blank spot that distorted the space. 'This is abnormal!'
"Did you also sense it? There must be an Origin-level Item behind them!" With a hurried breath, the Grand Elder exclaid, a hint of yearning beneath his tone of voice. His eyes looked eager.
"Origin-level item? Is that strong?" Ian raised an eyebrow. "This is the first ti I heard such an item."
"Well, Origin-levels are all unique of their own and can't be asured by the conventional grading system. For example, the conventional ranking has Mortal-level, Heavenly-level, Plunder-level, Super-level, and lastly the God-level."
"Of course, God-level is mostly a myth. Even in the entire Imperium or human world, there are no traces of such a level of item. But super level? There is one in the human world possessed by the SSS-rank human hunter, and there's also one Curtained Imperium in the past. Unfortunately, it had caused three continuous great wars."
"Without absolute strength, having a Super-level item is a sin and could attract the greed of the entire Curtained Imperium and Human World."
"Now, that item had been lost and was never to be found again..."
Ian's face changed. "That exaggerated? To actually be the reason for three great wars!"
What is a great war? If the war between the Vampire race and the Werewolf race can only be called a war. Then, the Great War is the kind of war that involved every race and even the entirety of the Human World, or maybe, a full-out war between the Curtained Imperium and the Human World.
"Yeah, Super-Items aren't so simple. You might be wondering about sothing, right?"
"Yeah, why the fuck that SSS-rank hunter had Super-level item yet it didn't fucking cause a great war?"
"That's simple. He's the SSS-rank hunter!" The Grand Elder's eyes turned serious. "Do you know the gap between us and him?"
"Are you stupid? How would I know?" Ian couldn't help but roll his eyes.
The eyes of Grand Elder darkened. It had been a while since soone cursed him directly in such a vulgar manner. If it were anyone, he would have already turned them to dust. However, Ian was special. He's a part of source of his strength. The death of Ian is tantamount to directly eliminating his chance to reach a level beyond his current battle power.
More importantly, he didn't have the confidence to defeat Ian at all. When he recalled the golden laser just now, he felt a chill run down his spine. He must not absolutely provoke the king!
"No need to have such a foul mouth. Although you're far stronger than I. You must still have a respect for seniority. You know, I'm older than your father, grandfather, grand grand-grandfather, and your grand grand grand-grand-grandfather's father combined."
Ian chuckled at this. Actually, he just tested the Grand Elder and tried to see how this old fog would react. As expected of an old fox that had lived for seven thousand years. He could remain calm despite such provocation! Ian had to admire the Grand Elder's composed and steadfast deanor. Such a temperant isn't sothing one could cultivate overnight.
"I apologize." With a sincere expression, Ian imdiately said. "So... How strong is that guy?"
The Grand Elder looked at Ian in surprise. However, he didn't show it on his face. "He could destroy a planet in his base form. Not to ntion, once he transforms to his Super Annihilation Form, he might be able to destroy multiple planets casually and half of the sun once he uses his entire energy reserves."
Hearing this, Ian frowned. His heart tightened, and he felt sweat start to form on his forehead. "So planetary-level and halfway to stellar-level..." He paused for a mont as the information began to sink in. The long-lost sense of urgency he had begun to reappear.
There are really skies beyond the sky! He was just a frog at the bottom of the well. There are many formidable warriors out there who could kill him with a single blow, so he must not be complacent!
Complacency is the downfall of many powerful beings.
"Still, what do you an by Base Form and Super Annihilation Form?"
"Well, Base Form is his basic strength without his transformation. As for Super Annihilation Form, it is a transformation he undergoes due to his mutated bloodline."
"As you know, the source of the hunter's strength is their superpowers... The SSS-rank hunter's superpower is a mutated bloodline that he got from the Annihilator Race!"
"Annihilator Race? Aren't those the so-called super race from Galaxy Far Away that had ceased to exist a million years ago, according to the books? I think that's just a stretch. What a joke." Ian burst out laughing.
