(Boss, this Snake Man is Level 30. You’d be very shocked if you saw it. I can’t think of any way we could take its crown.) Ellie explained further.

The level gap was too large, while their class difference was only one tier.

(It’s that strong? And the reward is only five bottles of Ascension Potion Level 25? Has the Snake Man beco so kind of gate?) Leonardo asked.

(There’s no gate here, but I’m sure its crown is an extraordinary artifact,) Ellie replied.

(I see... Alright, just keep an eye on that Snake Man for now... wait for my next instructions.)

Leonardo realized he needed preparation, and this might only succeed with the help of the White Elent Peacock.

Of course, he wasn’t relying only on Elsa.

He also searched on his own for anyone who had sothing that could accelerate a monster’s hatching.

He wasn’t entirely optimistic about Elsa, even though she had a wide network.

But after waiting for so ti, he unexpectedly received a call from Elsa.

Naturally, he answered imdiately.

"Well?" he asked right away.

"I found information about it. It’ll be auctioned tomorrow night in Miami," Elsa replied.

"Tomorrow night?" Leonardo frowned.

"There’s no other way... that item already belongs to the auction house. They’ll only sell it through auction. I also can’t guarantee there won’t be competitors. So Beast Tars might also have eggs that haven’t hatched yet. They’ll definitely be interested. But if you go with Margaret, she should be able to help you outbid anyone."

"I see..." Leonardo sighed.

Tomorrow, Margaret would naturally wake up.

After finishing dinner, he returned to Margaret’s room.

As soon as he sat down and lay on the sofa, he fell asleep.

The next morning, he woke up in shock when he felt pressure on his body.

When he opened his eyes, he froze with his mouth slightly open.

The blonde woman was sitting on top of him, her hands pressing against his chest.

Who else but Margaret.

She looked neat, even though she had probably just gotten up from bed.

Her hands were already unbuttoning Leonardo’s shirt before he could even react.

"Honey, you’re really a good boyfriend, staying here with all night," she said.

"Is that so?" Leonardo replied.

"Yeah... so I’ll give you a morning service."

"Wait!"

Leonardo panicked slightly.

It wasn’t that he didn’t want it—he did—but this room could be entered at any ti by Linda Diaz or soone from the Harvey Family.

Just as he thought that, the door suddenly opened, revealing Emma, who froze upon seeing the scene on the sofa.

More than surprised, she looked frightened, realizing she had seen sothing she shouldn’t.

Margaret imdiately pouted, but there was a reason Emma ca in.

"What is it?" Margaret asked, frowning, still not getting off Leonardo.

"Miss, your father has arrived and wants to see you imdiately. He’s waiting in the hospital director’s office," Emma said quickly.

After saying that, she left and closed the door again.

Leonardo sat up and gently stroked Margaret’s hair.

"Let’s go et your father. It might be sothing important," he said.

Margaret could only nod.

"I’ll wash my face and change clothes first," she said, heading to the bathroom.

Leonardo washed his face at the sink outside. There was no need for the bathroom since he wasn’t changing clothes.

When Margaret ca out, she was already wearing a shirt and long jeans, her damp hair tied up.

"Let’s go, honey..." she invited.

They walked out together.

Emma, perhaps out of embarrassnt, had already left the hallway. Her duty had essentially ended once Margaret woke up.

The two entered the elevator to the top floor.

This floor was specifically built for doctors’ offices, filled with corridors and rooms since each doctor had their own office.

One door stood out the most—the director’s office, guarded by a receptionist.

Margaret walked straight toward it, and the door opened automatically as she approached.

She entered, with Leonardo following beside her.

There were only two people inside—both middle-aged n.

One wore a doctor’s coat, with a gentle face but a deep presence.

Leonardo felt as if he possessed a mysterious life energy.

The other was, of course, Jas Harvey, Margaret’s father.

He looked relaxed, even smoking a cigar while chatting with the director, stopping when he saw Leonardo and Margaret.

"Sit down, both of you," he said, pointing at a large empty sofa.

Leonardo remained calm, simply following instructions and nodding slightly to the director who was observing him curiously.

"Father, why did you call ?" Margaret asked after sitting down and crossing her legs.

"For sothing... I want you to return the Vice Chairman’s belongings, except for the Soul Conduit Crystal," Jas replied.

Margaret imdiately frowned.

"Is that necessary?" she asked.

"Yes. That’s why I ca here. I’ll personally return them to him."

"Why?"

Margaret knew sothing must have happened for her father to do this.

He wasn’t the type to back down easily. If he did, it ant the situation could cause serious consequences.

"Your mother... she can help the Association prove that the Vice Chairman’s actions were caused by your skill."

"Wait... what?" Margaret was stunned.

"That woman is in this city? Why would she even do that?"

"She’s already been to your room. Ask Leonardo," Jas said, and Margaret imdiately looked at him.

"She won’t help the Association as long as you return those items. You know, if this is exposed, you’ll be in serious trouble. The Association will use this opportunity to strike us hard. Even mbers from other cities won’t accept it if they find out their Vice Chairman was set up like this."

"Then why is she doing this? Is it because her father is the President of the Arican Continent Association?"

"I don’t know..." Jas shook his head.

"I don’t know her reasons, but she will definitely do it."

Margaret looked extrely annoyed.

To think her own mother would make things harder for her.

But faced with the reality that she would be in serious trouble if exposed, she had no choice but to take out the Vice Chairman’s ring—Mr. Johnson’s ring.

Reluctantly, she handed it over to her father.

"Alright, I’ll go now..." Jas imdiately stood up and left without hesitation.

"Miss, would you like so tea?" the director tried to ease Margaret’s mood, but she still looked annoyed.

"Honey, let’s go," she said, ignoring him.

Leonardo followed her.

They left the hospital, and in the car, Margaret asked, "What did that woman do when she ca to my room?"

"She looked at you and said you weren’t raised well, since you never visit your mother..." Leonardo answered honestly, but hid certain parts.

Those parts, of course, couldn’t be told to Margaret.

"Was that all?" Margaret seed to suspect there was more.

"She was only allowed to stay for a few minutes before your father’s assistant told her to leave," Leonardo replied.

He wasn’t sure if he was convincing enough this ti.

Margaret nodded, since a few minutes really wasn’t enough to do much.

"By the way, I’m planning to go to Miami tonight for an auction," Leonardo said.

He didn’t know how safe he currently was, but it didn’t matter—he could disguise himself or even steal the item from the auction house.

The latter might not be easy, as the auction house would definitely have tight security, but if it wasn’t possible, disguise would be the only option.

"I’ll go with you. Have you heard anything from Ayumi?" Margaret replied.

"I was just about to check the news..." Leonardo answered.

He had fallen asleep earlier, so he didn’t know anything yet.

Now that it was morning, Ayumi had most likely already arrived in Japan, considering the speed of modern aircraft.

When Leonardo opened the forum, he imdiately saw accusations directed at Ayumi Fujiwara.

This wasn’t a claim made by Ayumi herself, but accusations from the military of City Z, complete with detailed reasons why they suspected her.

Essentially, the military claid it as the result of their investigation.

Because it was the military speaking, no one dismissed it as nonsense.

Leonardo showed it to Margaret Harvey, and she simply smiled faintly.

"You should be safe enough now. People will trust the military’s claims more than Thomas’ nonsense," she said.

"Did the two of you arrange for the military to do this?" Leonardo asked, and Margaret nodded lightly.

"In the military, there are many ambitious people who want to stand on their own—it’s easier to influence them. Right... let’s go to school. I want to teach Thomas a lesson..."

"..."

They returned to the school, which looked the sa as usual.

Even though the accusations against Ayumi Fujiwara were far stronger now, within the school, Leonardo was still the main topic of discussion and suspicion. After all, the students didn’t know Ayumi—but they knew him.

To them, there were simply too many strange things about him. It was no longer surprising if he turned out to be the one behind everything.
