(Boss, I’ve beco stronger. Do you want to continue?) Ellie asked.

(No, stop now!) Leonardo replied without hesitation.

If he followed his greed, he could keep going.

But if sothing unexpected happened, regret wouldn’t change a disastrous outco.

No one could assu everything was under control in this city.

There were too many people—and no shortage of terrifying Awakeners.

If Ellie’s actions were discovered by a powerful Awakener, the owl would be finished. And Leonardo would be forced to raise another animal from scratch.

(Okay...) Ellie’s tone carried a hint of disappointnt.

(If you still want to hunt, go after monsters in the Monster World. And if you’re still afraid, you can hunt city rats...) Leonardo added.

(Uh... Boss. I’m not ready to fight real monsters yet. Even if I can teleport, I could die from a single hit...) she admitted, sounding embarrassed.

(In that case, co to my location. And don’t forget the money...)

(Okay, boss!)

’Still need to stay patient.’ Leonardo took a deep breath, suppressing the greed stirring inside him.

He waited by the window, barely blinking as he stared outside.

Since they could sense each other’s location faintly, it wasn’t difficult for Ellie to find him.

He didn’t wait long.

A white owl with glowing red eyes appeared, carrying a small bag beneath her claws. She moved quickly, her red eyes leaving a faint streak in the air.

Whoosh!

She teleported, landing precisely on Leonardo’s outstretched hand.

Leonardo observed her carefully.

There was no visible change.

When real monsters leveled up, they usually grew larger. But Ellie remained the sa size. Perhaps because she had begun as an ordinary animal—mortal, like humans.

"Boss, look!"

This ti she spoke directly with her beak.

She nudged the small bag forward.

Inside were twenty-five bills, each marked with golden lines and the image of a globe.

One-thousand-dollar bills.

Leonardo removed them from the bag one by one.

His eyes didn’t blink.

It was the first ti he had ever held a thousand-dollar bill.

"Boss, let’s buy roasted at," Ellie said excitedly.

She had no idea Leonardo was currently a wanted fugitive.

"Not now," he replied, pointing toward the table where he had stacked collected food.

"Eat that instead."

Afterward, he lay down on the mattress.

To accelerate ti, he swallowed sleeping pills again—two this ti—hoping to wake up closer to noon.

He fell into deep sleep.

When his eyes opened again, the sky was bright.

It wasn’t noon yet—probably around 9 a.m.

He had woken early.

The first thing he did was reconnect with space, scanning the surroundings.

After confirming that the apartnts above and below were empty, he teleported into one of them and headed straight to the bathroom to shower.

When he entered the kitchen, he noticed it was fully stocked.

Vegetables, spices, at, fish, eggs—everything was there.

It had been a long ti since he ate properly prepared food.

He wasn’t skilled at cooking, but he could fry.

So he fried the at, fish, and eggs with whatever seasoning he could find.

The result wasn’t terrible.

He brought everything back to his apartnt along with a few bottles of cold mineral water.

"Ellie, ti to eat sothing good."

He woke her up from the sofa.

Even during the day, a trigger was enough to snap her into alertness.

Seeing the golden-brown fried fish, she imdiately pecked at it.

Leonardo ate as well.

It wasn’t bad.

"Boss, will I get another skill today?" Ellie asked.

She wasn’t foolish. After receiving skills two days in a row, she understood this wasn’t coincidence.

"Yes. You’ll get one. Just wait," Leonardo replied calmly.

He began considering what to request next.

He wanted to move outside more freely.

Teleportation was reliable—but he could only teleport to visible locations.

He waited patiently.

DING!

(You can add one talent or skill to your monster!)

It finally appeared after noon.

Leonardo imdiately wrote his desire.

(I want Ellie to have an invisible mode!)

DING!

(An SS Class Talent, Invisible Body, has been added to Ellie!)

(Invisible Body: when activated, makes the body disappear as if nonexistent, allowing it to pass through walls and beco untouchable by anything!)

DING!

(Ellie has officially beco an SS Class Monster after obtaining an SS Class talent. As an SS Class Monster, she possesses one innate ability to command any Monster of A Class or below!)

[Monster List:]

[Na: Ellie]

[Type: Owl]

[Class: SS Class]

[Level: 2]

[EXP: 0/300]

[Talent:]

- Invisible Body (SS Class)

[Skill:]

- Supre Spatial Shift (SS Class Skill)

- Requiem of the Silent Night (SS Class Skill)

"Oh..."

Leonardo hadn’t expected evolving into SS Class would grant a monster the authority to command A-Class and lower monsters.

’Now let’s switch Power Resonance.’

With a single thought, he changed the ability he borrowed from Ellie—from teleportation to Invisible Body.

His body shifted—

But not visibly.

The principle was similar to teleportation. It required Mana, while Intelligence was necessary for control.

With physical form removed, movent in invisible mode was fundantally different.

It could no longer be controlled through normal physical motion.

Only through thought.

The higher his Intelligence, the smoother the movent—eventually even allowing flight.
