"Do you not trust ?" Levi replied.

By saying that, it was clear he had no intention of offering anything as collateral.

Leonardo shook his head.

"You’re Margaret’s cousin. I can’t trust you just like that. If you’re trying to help her teach a lesson, I’ll be the one taking the loss," Leonardo said.

"I have nothing to do with that woman," Levi answered.

"I still need a guarantee," Leonardo insisted.

From his perspective, even with William’s group assisting, Levi didn’t seem completely confident.

His flying boat probably wasn’t fast or agile enough in combat, which was why he wanted Leonardo’s wolf to carry him.

Leonardo was actually quite confident he could save his wolf if sothing went wrong, which was why he dared to consider it. Still, he had to be cautious. If Levi had bad intentions, he didn’t want to be the one losing out.

"If you can’t provide one, I’m leaving now," Leonardo added, patting Liam’s shoulder.

The wolf imdiately spread his wings.

"Ascension Potion Level 10 and an S-Class Skill Book for a Knight. Is that enough?" Levi shouted.

Leonardo instantly stopped Liam and nodded.

Even if their combined value wasn’t always higher than that of his wolf, as a guarantee, they were more than sufficient.

"Take it!"

Levi tossed a Dinsional Ring toward Leonardo.

He clearly had more than one.

After catching it, Leonardo checked inside.

There was a bottle containing an Ascension Potion and a golden skill book depicting a knight.

At the sa ti, Levi approached with his flying boat and signaled for Leonardo to get off the wolf.

Leonardo revealed his wings and took to the air himself.

(Liam, carry him and follow his instructions!) Leonardo ordered.

Liam could only nod. It was an order.

He didn’t resist when Levi climbed onto his back.

"Attack the eagle!" Levi commanded imdiately.

Whoosh!

Liam shot toward the Thunder Eagle, while the eagle lunged toward them as well.

Before they even t, both sides released storms of lightning from a distance.

"Attack!"

Liam shouted toward William and the others.

The four of them unleashed their attacks almost simultaneously.

Sergio went first, spewing a huge amount of gas from his mouth toward the eagle.

The gas itself had no effect.

But the mont it touched the lightning, it ignited into a massive blaze, engulfing the eagle.

Unfortunately, it clearly did nothing.

The eagle burst out of the flas unhard, glaring angrily at Sergio.

Whoosh!

Lucy released a powerful wind wave, attempting to push the eagle away.

But it didn’t seem to achieve much.

William charged forward with his sword, slashing at the eagle’s head.

The eagle’s beak struck back, forcing him to retreat.

At that mont, they realized just how powerful the eagle truly was.

Even with their cooperation, killing it might not be easy.

"Die..."

Levi attacked from behind the eagle, throwing his lightning spear like a bolt of lightning.

At the sa ti, Ronald fired an arrow that seed to pierce through space itself.

But the eagle, still in perfect condition, easily dodged.

This was an aerial battle.

There was simply too much room to evade.

Without exhausting the eagle first, defeating it quickly would be impossible—unless they used sothing special like Ellie’s song attack.

Even then, it would only work if Ellie’s power were pushed further against an S-Class monster.

Leonardo simply watched from a distance.

(Boss!)

Ellie’s voice echoed in his mind.

She was actually standing on his shoulder—just invisible.

She had just returned from Floor 1.

(Go to the gate. Wait in front of it, enter the mont it opens, take everything, and leave as fast as possible!) Leonardo ordered.

For this plan, he had summoned Ellie to Floor 2 even though she had only found two A-Class monsters to guard the Aethercore Fruit Tree.

(Right, take my knife too!) Leonardo secretly sent his knife to Ellie. He thought it would be better not to carry it for the ti being.

(Hahaha, Boss. You’re going to make them cry.) Ellie couldn’t stop laughing.

Leonardo’s expression didn’t change at all.

He remained completely indifferent as he continued watching the battle.

Levi’s strength impressed him.

The man could release large amounts of lightning without showing the slightest sign of exhaustion—even after repeated attacks.

Occasionally his strikes landed on the eagle, while he himself remained unhard because the eagle’s attention was constantly divided by William’s group.

Given enough ti, victory would eventually be theirs.

Leonardo was also optimistic that Liam would gain enough EXP to reach Level 12, considering his contribution in carrying Levi.

As evening approached, the battle finally entered its critical stage.

There was no environntal destruction since the fight took place in the air.

However, repeated lightning bolts crashing down shattered the sandstorm below them, revealing the sand valley beneath.

After taking nurous attacks and accumulating more wounds, the eagle could no longer maintain its altitude.

It drifted closer to the ground—especially when Lucy forced it downward with powerful wind pressure.

The final mont ca when Levi’s spear and Ronald’s arrow pierced the eagle’s back, pinning it to the ground.

Even then, the eagle still wasn’t dead.

It looked ready to rise into the sky again.

William moved instantly.

His sword flashed.

The eagle’s neck was severed.

That strike ensured its death.

DING!

(Liam contributed to killing an S-Class Level 18 Monster, gaining 1900 EXP!)

Leonardo received the notification, and it exceeded his expectations.

After all, Liam had already gained 400 EXP earlier from fighting near the sand hill.

Adding the 1900 EXP brought the total to 2300.

If Liam had killed the eagle himself, who knew how much EXP he would have received?

Perhaps enough to reach Level 17 in one leap.

Leonardo wondered if such a thing was even possible.

With the eagle’s death, the flying gate above naturally opened.

Leonardo could sense Ellie moving swiftly toward it.

(Boss, there are only three items!) Ellie’s voice echoed.

(Just take them and leave!) Leonardo replied.

Three items was already the maximum.

In a team like this, they would normally have to sell everything and split the profit.

(Understood.)

With her Dinsional Ring, Ellie only needed a mont to collect all three items.

Then she disappeared as quickly as she ca.
