Outside the courtroom, Lawyer Wilson approached Laura once more.
"Mrs. Maxwell, you’ve won big this ti. But I won’t be involved in the collection process," he said.
"You don’t need to worry about that. I’ll handle it with my client," Laura replied calmly, as if it were nothing troubleso.
She turned and walked away, and Leonardo followed behind her.
However, she did not leave the courthouse. Instead, she entered an office to retrieve the official docunts from the trial.
Once the verdict was issued, the paperwork was prepared imdiately. The court could even issue an enforcent order, allowing the police to assist Leonardo in collecting the compensation.
But Laura had already said she could handle everything.
Margaret was expected to be at school, so they headed there in Laura’s car, with Max driving.
Leonardo sat in the back seat beside her.
It was at that school where he had been arrested.

Margaret wore her school uniform, a short blue skirt, her hair tied in a ponytail.

Laura’s voice was clear and loud enough for the surrounding students to hear.
Margaret’s expression froze.
She grabbed the docunt and read it herself.
"What kind of nonsense is this?" she muttered.
She imdiately took out her phone—
"There is no point in calling your lawyer," Laura cut in smoothly. "He cannot help you unless you want the court to pursue imprisonnt as well. It would be wiser to pay before this becos more complicated. Or, if you cannot, I can call your father. I happen to have his number."
Laura even showed her phone screen.

But before Margaret could react—
Her phone rang.
Caller ID: Father.
Laura, seeing that, gave a faint smile.
On other hand, Margaret could not hide her uneasiness. She accepted her father’s call and placed the phone against her ear without saying a word.
"For the Awakener items requested, you have them. Hand them over. I will pay the rest. And perhaps you should stop trying to beco a Beast Tar. Focus on what you already have."
Even though she lowered the volu, the words were still faintly audible.
Laura heard them clearly.
Margaret’s expression darkened instantly. Her breathing nearly faltered.
"It seems your father understands what is best for you," Laura comnted lightly.
Margaret ended the call without replying.
With Jas Harvey personally giving the order, it ant Lawyer Wilson had successfully convinced him that they truly lost the trial.
Perhaps he had exaggerated Laura’s preparation.
In any case, this was not Jas Harvey’s expertise.
He chose to trust his lawyer.
