’It seems that black fla is far more dangerous than I expected,’ Leonardo thought.

DING!

(Ellie has killed 3 Level 3 Awakeners, obtaining 30 EXP!)

[EXP: 210/400]

It didn’t even take a few seconds—three Awakeners had already been killed by Ellie.

Leonardo was forced to stop, feeling that sothing wasn’t right.

DING!

(Ellie has killed a Level 3 Class B Monster, obtaining 30 EXP!)

Another notification appeared—this ti with an even higher reward.

[EXP: 240/400]

(Ellie, are you attacking groups that are fighting Awakeners?) Leonardo asked.

(Yes...) Ellie replied.

(I saw that the humans were already helpless. They were almost dead, so I attacked them all. Don’t worry, this is safe—I calculated the outco before taking action. In this situation, I won’t act if there are still humans in peak condition who might be able to escape.) She explained.

This surprised Leonardo.

Ellie had apparently beco smarter.

(Well, if you’re confident, then it’s fine...)

Leonardo didn’t want to micromanage Ellie now that she had grown more intelligent.

He continued on his way, and Ellie kept gaining EXP—albeit more slowly. Perhaps she was conserving stamina, targeting isolated monsters or Awakeners.

Before Leonardo even found an interesting gate, Ellie’s EXP had already filled up.

She reached Level 4, and Leonardo received three Evolution Points, which he imdiately distributed evenly into Mana, Stamina, and Intelligence.

(Beast Buff Power: 0.2)

(Strength: 0.3)

(Defense: 0.2)

(Agility: 0.4)

(Intelligence: 2.1) 1

(Vitality: 0.3)

(Stamina: 2.1) 1

(Mana: 2.5) 1

With those three attributes now far surpassing the others, Leonardo began to feel a slight imbalance.

He knew this would happen—but he still chose to proceed.

Next ti he leveled up, he would improve the remaining attributes.

After all, he would gain four Evolution Points next ti. Each of the four remaining attributes—excluding Buff Power—could receive one point directly.

(Boss, I’m going to rest for a bit.) Ellie sent a ssage.

(Yeah, take a rest!) Leonardo replied.

He was very satisfied with Ellie’s performance today.

But just as he had taken a few steps, another notification appeared.

DING!

(Ellie has killed a Level 10 Class A Monster, obtaining 450 EXP!)

[EXP: 450/500]

Leonardo, "..."

(Ellie, what happened? Weren’t you resting?) He couldn’t have been more shocked.

She had suddenly killed a Level 10 Monster—Class A—six levels above them.

Even with black fla, Leonardo was pessimistic that such a thing could succeed.

(Boss, I was flying when a large eagle passed by arrogantly. Out of annoyance, I ordered it to commit suicide. It exploded its own Monster Core.) Ellie replied.

(That’s impossible.) Leonardo couldn’t believe it.

The rules of the Monster World were absolute. One would not gain EXP for killing monsters under their control—no matter the thod. This was common knowledge.

After all, Beast Tars weren’t the only ones capable of controlling monsters. Many could do so through illusion or mind control-type skills. It simply wasn’t as efficient as a Beast Tar’s thod, as it required constant skill usage.

So monsters even possessed such abilities themselves.

But then, he considered a possibility.

That eagle... might have been a monster belonging to another Beast Tar.

Leonardo didn’t know whether the rules differed for monsters originally controlled by another Beast Tar—but that seed to be the case.

(You should leave that area imdiately!)

(Yes... I’ve already left. I think it’s better if I keep fighting now—I’m close to leveling up.)

(Are you sure you can handle it?)

(It won’t be difficult if I just kill five Level 4 Monsters. Oh, what a coincidence—there are five in front of . I’ll slaughter them now.)

"..."

DING!

(Ellie has killed five Level 4 Class C Monsters, obtaining 50 EXP!)

[EXP: 500/500]

DING!

(Ellie’s EXP is full. Ellie has reached Level 5!)

And just like that, Leonardo also reached Level 5—gaining 4 Evolution Points.

He didn’t know how to react to such an unexpected turn of events.

But he didn’t dwell on it for long, imdiately distributing the four Evolution Points.

(Beast Buff Power: 0.2)

(Strength: 1.3) 1

(Defense: 1.2) 1

(Agility: 1.4) , 1

(Intelligence: 2.1)

(Vitality: 1.3) 1

(Stamina: 2.1)

(Mana: 2.5)

[Monster List:]

[Na: Ellie]

[Type: Owl]

[Class: SS Class]

[Level: 5]

[EXP: 0/600]
