Capítulo 879: Chapter 882: Found

Nian Shutong sat on the small boat, looking at the Tan Water below, deep and bottomless, at least dozens of ters high from the cave entrance, with only so splashes caused by the falling underground water.

“Master?”

“Go down.”

There was simply no other way, only to go down.

“But—your injury.”

“This little injury is nothing, I can still fight another battle.” Nian Shutong reassured the worried Daodao, “Daodao, we have faced more dangerous situations, why be so cautious, plus there’s no other path ahead.”

Daodao was not unaware, but since they reached the interstellar space, they hadn’t fought like this in a long ti and didn’t want Nian Shutong to get hurt.

“Master, sit tight, Daodao will weave a basket to take you down.”

“Alright.”

Nian Shutong had already begun regulating her breath. She was injured, but still able to fight.

Just as Daodao began weaving, Fu Yunhe’s Spiritual Body passed through the walls, following the river, and caught up.

His speed was extrely fast, like a formless wind, still capable of passing through walls.

Nian Shutong was already prepared at this mont.

She sat inside a round, airtight cane, which would float on the Tan Water after falling.

Inside, Nian Shutong could hold her breath for a long ti, so even if there was no air in the basket, it was fine.

“Go.”

With Nian Shutong’s command, Daodao controlled the cane basket, forcefully lowering it, letting it fall toward the Tan Water.

Fu Yunhe had just seen the light and imdiately spotted a spherical object falling.

That was sothing of Nian Shutong’s mystical companion, Fu Yunhe had seen it before.

His Spiritual Body accelerated, floating inside the cave entrance to look down, the round basket was now in a half-sphere shape, and inside was clearly Nian Shutong.

“Nian Shutong! Nian Shutong!”

Fu Yunhe roared, but no matter how loud he shouted, the Nian Shutong below remained unmoved because she couldn’t hear him.

Realizing this, Fu Yunhe simply dived down, surrounding Nian Shutong, watching her.

“Cough cough—we should head to the side and take a look.”

“Cough cough—”

Nian Shutong coughed continuously, causing Fu Yunhe’s heart to ache. She was injured.

But how could he help her?

Fu Yunhe didn’t have ti for sorrow, only thinking about how to contact Nian Shutong.

At the sa ti, Nian Shutong wasn’t entirely in the dark since such entities were common in the Cultivation World, so visible, so not.

Indeed, Nian Shutong sensed sothing was nearby, but wasn’t sure what it was.

It might be so unique creature in the Tan Water, or so kind of Insect Race, or even a Ghost Cultivator.

Whatever it was, Nian Shutong couldn’t imagine it being Fu Yunhe.

Now she sat within the half-sphere at the edge of the Tan Water, sensing that the materials here couldn’t transmit anything.

“This wall, I must take so with .”

“Master, Daodao greatly admires you. At this ti, you still have the mood to think about this?”

“Of course, since we’ve encountered it, we shouldn’t let it go.”

Nian Shutong had Daodao control the semi-circular cane basket, floating along the edge, making a round trip. The irregular circular Tan Water showed no gaps; all the materials were like this.

“It shouldn’t be, without gaps, the water should have overflowed long ago.”

Finally, Nian Shutong turned her gaze towards the Tan Water below, seemingly the only direction left to explore.

“Daodao, we’re going into the water now.”

Nian Shutong had just finished speaking when Daodao asked through Divine Sense: “Master, what about the nearby Ghost Cultivator?”

“Ignore it. It’s probably just a useless fool. Following so long without making any movents indicates it’s useless.” Nian Shutong had t Ghost Cultivators before, who were actually Ghost Cultivators.

But no matter what this one beside her was, she couldn’t see its form, only sensing its presence, and it couldn’t make even the slightest sound, couldn’t even touch her, proving useless.

Fu Yunhe didn’t know Nian Shutong was aware of his presence, though it was true as she thought. She couldn’t hear or touch him, and even now, he had no solution but to stay by her side.

At this mont, Nian Shutong ford a protective cover of Spiritual Energy on herself, touched the Tan Water with one hand, and plunged in the next second.

“Nian Shutong!”

Fu Yunhe imdiately followed, luckily the water didn’t hinder him.

Diving deeper, Nian Shutong felt no trace of that “Ghost Cultivator,” just determinedly heading in one direction, constantly diving.

In the Tan Water, there was no light, utter darkness.

Oddly, the deeper she went, the darker it beca, as if the Tan Water was layered, initially visible sowhat, but deeper was as black as ink, visible to nothing.

Nian Shutong used her Divine Sense to forge a path, continuing her descent, seeking an exit.

“Master, that silly Ghost Cultivator seems to have followed us in.”

“Ignore him.”

Nian Shutong continued her descent, but soon in the inky depths, the surrounding inky black began to attack her.

All around, the inky black ford faceless ghostly figures with long arms and sharp nails, scratching incessantly on Nian Shutong’s Spiritual Energy Shield, causing creaks throughout the water.

Not only did they make noises, but each scratch added a mark to Nian Shutong’s Spiritual Energy Shield.

If this continued, the shield wouldn’t last much longer.

“I knew it wouldn’t be this simple!”

Nian Shutong launched a counterattack, but though her spiritual attacks hit the black faceless figures, they only transford into surrounding water, barely a mont before more appeared.

In other words, defeating one simply made dozens more erge, now hundreds surrounded Nian Shutong.

“I can’t keep fighting them! Ti for a new thod.”

Nian Shutong wanted to use magic or Divine Sense attacks, yet hadn’t even launched an attack before the black faceless figures began dwindling before her.

From an unseen place, Fu Yunhe, who’d followed behind, seeing Nian Shutong besieged, retaliated imdiately, unsure if it was effective or not, but doing nothing was not an option.

Fortunately, this ti he could touch the black entities; it seed he and they shared a substance.

Each he struck seed to make his Spiritual Body more solid.

“Master, that silly Ghost Cultivator seems to be helping us.”

“It seems it’s what he needs, and he’s getting faster. Ignore him, let’s keep going.”

Nian Shutong quickly descended, getting out was the priority. That Ghost Cultivator posed no threat and seed to be strengthening itself, so she felt no burden.

Nian Shutong didn’t know how long she had been swimming, though she could tell she was reaching her goal, or the exit lay just below.

Below was starkly different from above.
