Nian Shutong didn’t delay any ti and soon arrived at the entrance of the Imperial Military Academy, going through the sa registration and waiting process as before.
However, this ti, she stood waiting by the gate alone, without setting up a chair to sit and eat while she waited.
She had not inford Fu Yunhe of her visit before coming, so today was a complete surprise attack.
By the ti the gatekeeper’s ssage reached the instructor, they were in the middle of combat training.
The instructor watched as the class mber with the most "pretty-boy" looks, Fu Yunhe, who was cultivating his spiritual power, quickly took down everyone standing around him in a two to three moves, leaving him standing alone, in solitary.
As for everyone else, the farther they stayed away from him, the better, even so of the girls who had initially been infatuated and admiring of him had, after these days of hard training, co to keep a respectful distance from Fu Yunhe, who showed no rcy in crushing his opponents.
To these female soldiers, Fu Yunhe made no distinction of gender—anyone in front of him was an enemy, or rather, they were not even considered human. In his eyes, it’s probable they were all like Insect Beasts that could be killed at any mont.
Fu Yunhe was indeed formidable, managing to keep the won at a great distance by his own rit.
Seeing that no one else dared to attack Fu Yunhe anymore, the instructor checked the ti and decisively called him over.
"Fu Yunhe!"
"Present!"
Fu Yunhe quickly ran from the center to the instructor’s direction.
As he ran over, everyone—whether they were in combat or not—consciously made way, leaving a space wide enough for two people to run through, allowing Fu Yunhe to pass.
The way they made space for him was as if they were avoiding the plague, trying to escape as far as possible.
Fu Yunhe, completely unconcerned, ran up to the instructor and stood at attention.
"Instructor, Fu Yunhe reporting!"
The instructor looked at the student before him, knowing that once the freshman training was over, his achievents were likely to be beyond their reach for the rest of their lives.
He was too outstanding, or rather, the word "outstanding" was insufficient to describe him.
"Fu Yunhe, you have twenty minutes. Soone is here to see you at the school’s entrance. Go and return quickly."
"Yes, sir!"
Fu Yunhe responded loudly. He didn’t know who would co to see him; it seed that aside from Nian Shutong, there wouldn’t be anyone else.
Could it really be Nian Shutong?
With a heart filled with excitent and anticipation, Fu Yunhe strode quickly toward the gate, his pace quickening.
Even before Fu Yunhe reached the gate, he caught a glimpse of Nian Shutong.
It really was her!
Fu Yunhe pushed himself into a final sprint until he reached Nian Shutong.
"Why have you co?"
He was truly surprised, and most of all, happy.
"I brought you food."
Nian Shutong was always straightforward, tending to the purpose of her visit first before discussing anything else.
The two of them walked a bit farther away, and she took out the food Master Fan had prepared, one by one, telling Fu Yunhe, "Put these away carefully. Eat these first. These are the als Master Fan made after his sudden realization. Once you have a bite, you’ll definitely want another."
Fu Yunhe didn’t understand what a sudden realization was, but if it was sothing Nian Shutong delivered personally and raved about, then it certainly must be extraordinary.
As Nian Shutong took out each item, he carefully put them away.
The two of them, one bowing her head to take out the items, the other looking at her while ceaselessly receiving the goods.
Finally, when they got to the last box, Nian Shutong finally looked up and t the gaze of Fu Yunhe, who had been watching her all along.
"Hehe, do you know that you look just like one of those obsessed fans from TV dramas right now?"
"Impossible, the people on TV dramas are not as good-looking as ."
Fu Yunhe’s witty coback sent Nian Shutong into a fit of laughter. She slapped his chest, laughing nonstop.
There was nothing dainty about it, only a sense of boldness.
Fu Yunhe felt Nian Shutong’s rather dishonest palm. What was she up to?
"Nian Shutong, your hand?"
"Hmm?" Nian Shutong, feigning ignorance, lifted her head and chuckled, "I’m just checking your muscles again. Last ti wasn’t satisfying enough."
Her straightforward statent made Fu Yunhe swallow with so difficulty, his hand catching the small one causing trouble on his chest and holding it in his palm.
"Stop it!"
"Oh? Don’t like it?" Nian Shutong teased with a playful glance and then stepped back, adding, "Okay, there will be plenty of other opportunities in the future."
Her teasing words left Fu Yunhe looking at her with a mix of adoration and frustration, almost grinding his teeth as he said, "I do have a marriage certificate, you know. Whatever I do can’t be wrong."
"Really?" Nian Shutong looked at him amusedly and decided to stop teasing. Taking another step back, she asked, "Isn’t it about ti?"
Hearing this, Fu Yunhe’s aggressive posture deflated, and he looked at Nian Shutong reluctantly.
"When will you co next ti? Let know in advance so I can try to free up so ti."
Next ti?
Nian Shutong replied, "I probably won’t co during your training period. Let’s wait until your new recruit training is over."
"That should be interesting."
Fu Yunhe, puzzled, asked, "What will be interesting?"
Nian Shutong smiled and teased, "It’s a secret."
Fu Yunhe looked at the mysterious Nian Shutong but didn’t press further. They would keep it a secret then; anyway, he was sure to find out when the ti ca.
"Alright, better get going. Let go of my hand."
Nian Shutong tugged at her hand, still held by Fu Yunhe, but it remained unyielding.
Fu Yunhe gave Nian Shutong a deep look and quickly said, "Don’t hit !"
Before Nian Shutong could react, Fu Yunhe swiftly bent down, kissed the back of her hand, and then turned on his heels and ran away.
Standing not far from the school gate, Nian Shutong watched her hand hanging in the air and then turned to look at the already distant Fu Yunhe, muttering, "Why run?"
Was she really that scary? It was just a kiss on the hand, wasn’t it?
And to think, which of the two was the modern one?
Clearly, she was an antique from the Cultivation World, but how could Fu Yunhe be more conservative than her?
Nian Shutong shook her head, feeling sowhat delighted, and with a flick of her hand, she left for ho.
She was already looking forward to their next encounter, wondering if Fu Yunhe would be startled seeing her on the podium.
"Ha ha... Next ti, I’ll definitely record it. Such a scene would be a rare sight in a thousand years."
Full of anticipation, Nian Shutong went directly from Zone 1 to catch a small starship to Third District, and from there, she boarded a Super Starship to return to Blue Star.
With less than two months left until Fu Yunhe’s new recruit training was over, she figured she’d better get busy—ti would fly by quickly.
Most importantly, she had to go back and learn from Rubble the ins and outs of using interstellar knowledge for Artifact Refining.
However, just thinking about learning from Rubble made Nian Shutong admit she felt quite pressured.
