Chapter 311: Chapter 309 Unexpected Roast Duck

Nian Shutong roasted a total of fifteen ducks, sending eleven on their way, leaving them with four.

Four roast ducks, under Nian Shutong’s knife, eight legs, four heads, and four duck necks were all perfectly kept intact.

The remaining four bodies were sliced by Nian Shutong, served with a bit of sweet bean sauce, shredded green onions, and cucumber sticks, all wrapped in spring pancakes to eat.

“Aunt, this is delicious.”

Dou Dou, trying spring pancakes for the first ti, truly fell in love with the flavor. During the last ti they made spring pancakes, Dou Dou hadn’t yet arrived at the small wooden house.

“If you like it, I’ll have Grandpa Fan make them for you again in the future.”

Dou Dou nodded happily, thanking Mr. Fan, who was eating at the table.

Mr. Fan was accustod to eating alone in the kitchen. Nian Shutong had invited him over twice, and although Mr. Fan did join them, he didn’t seem comfortable, so Nian Shutong let him go back.

Sure enough, once Master Fan returned to the kitchen, he ate an extra bowl of rice.

He just loved watching others enjoy the food he prepared, and seeing them relish it made him happy.

Mr. Fan wasn’t very fond of socializing. He simply liked to cook, a pure love for cooking.

Dinner comprised of not just roast duck, but also bean sprouts, shredded potatoes, and smoked at—all perfect accompanints to spring pancakes.

The tofu shop in the small wooden house, thanks to Dou Dou’s harvest, had reopened.

However, the plain tofu they made was only for their own consumption and no longer sold in the shop.

At the shop, they only sold dried tofu and tofu skin, other bean products were no longer for sale.

After all, there were already many tofu shops in the interstellar, they wouldn’t miss one more.

The al was lively, everyone was enjoying themselves, and for so reason, they started competing to see who could wrap the tastiest spring pancake.

“The one with the at is delicious!”

“Just a bit of bean sprouts, with a slice of smoked at—delicious.”

“No, no, no, duck with cucumber and green onion is delicious.”

“That won’t do, it’s too plain. You must have a combination of at and vegetables for it to be tasty.”

The debate went on and on, everyone wrapped pancakes for each other, each taking turns to taste one another’s creations.

Their dinner was lively, and for those who received the roast ducks, it was even more so.

Among those who received roast ducks, only Yu Zeming knew Little River Live was sending him a roast duck, and he had been eagerly waiting at the company for it.

That day at Youyu Live’s reception, everyone saw President Yu personally accepting a package.

This made the receptionist anxiously fret all day.

Was she about to be fired?

But why would President Yu co down to receive a package himself?

Around 6 p.m., a large insulated box finally arrived.

“Quick———”

“It’s mine!”

Before the delivery robot even finished speaking, Yu Zeming dashed over.

He definitely used his fastest speed to confirm his identity and collect the package.

When Yu Zeming went upstairs with the package, the receptionist downstairs finally heaved a sigh of relief.

It seed she wasn’t going to be fired, but what could the package be that made President Yu take it so seriously?

The receptionist’s thoughts hadn’t co full circle when two notable figures arrived.

“Mr. Yu, Young Master Yu,” the receptionist naturally recognized these two relatives of President Yu, greeted them, and said, “President Yu has gone upstairs.”

In a flash, they were gone.

Mr. Yu was quicker than Young Master Yu, entering the elevator first.

What on earth was happening?

The receptionist always felt as if sothing big was unfolding but had no idea what it could be.

Upstairs at this mont, Mr. Yu and Yu Zeling, after getting out of the elevator, rushed into Yu Zeming’s office with the greatest speed.

The people outside the office, peering through the door that had been pushed open, just saw President Yu put sothing in his mouth, blissfully closing his eyes, appearing sowhat addicted.

“Quick! Half of it is ours!”

The office door shut swiftly, the soundproofing inside was so good that despite the nosy onlookers outside, they couldn’t hear a thing.

When the door opened again, Mr. Yu and Young Master Yu were seen leaving with a box, their steps light but sowhat hurried.

In a short while, Yu Zeming had dispatched four parcels, and after the last delivery, the office door closed again—alone, he savored a third of the half roast duck.

He kept one for himself, and the four other whole ones were all sent out by him.

But the one he kept was slightly raided by Mr. Yu and Young Master Yu; thankfully, they had the decency to leave him so.

The four roast ducks were sent to the Royal Family, the Chuan family, and two other families.

Thus, all five ducks on this end were distributed.

Six more ducks flew off toward people who did not know they were about to receive a duck delivery.

The president of Food University was the first to receive one.

Thinking she wouldn’t get any duck, she faced an internal struggle when opening the parcel herself, pondering whether to let the faculty have a taste or not.

In principle, at Food University, indulging a bit more in gourt food could aid in teaching.

But… the aroma was too enticing.

In the end, the president kept two legs for her own child and offered the rest to the faculty.

This move earned the president the utmost respect from the faculty.

“President, you’re amazing – to resist like that!”

“Truly worthy of being our president!”

The president, seeing several saliva-swallowing faculty mbers, snorted and said, “Eat or not – if you don’t, I’ll take it all ho!”

“Eat!”

They chorused, swarming to partake of the duck.

The second recipient was Liu Cheng, who, upon finishing his cultivation session, was treated to the highest regard by his parents in his life.

“Son, make sure you do a good job as the livestream manager.”

“Right, right, if it cos to it, we can skip university.”

Realizing sothing after these words, Liu Cheng imdiately inquired, his voice trembling slightly.

“What did Mr. Xiao He send?”

“Is there more?”

“Yes!”

“Don’t worry, how could we leave you out,” Mrs. Liu patted Liu Cheng’s shoulder with no guilt whatsoever, “Mr. Xiao He sent you half a roast duck; let’s eat it together.”

“Great!”

Liu Cheng had no doubts; to him, half was already a lot.

His parents shared a victorious ‘yeah’ behind his back.

He Xinchun was the third recipient, as he had once received a thank-you gift box from Nian Shutong, who thus had his address.

At that mont, He Xinchun was at the Imperial Military Academy, just having completed his cultivation.

Afterwards, he was called by na as soone inford him of a parcel for him.

“A parcel? I didn’t buy anything!”

Reluctant, He Xinchun wanted to rest for a bit. He had just finished a gravity training class, and he felt like none of his appendages belonged to him.

“It’s a thermos box!”

The student urging him to collect the parcel added.

Eventually, He Xinchun went, muttering all the way: Who on earth is it? So annoying.

Upon seeing the parcel without a return address or na, he grew even more impatient and opened it right at the delivery spot.

The mont he opened the thermos box, the fragrance wafted out.

With lightning speed, He Xinchun snapped the lid shut and cheerily told everyone around, “It’s nothing, nothing at all. I’m heading off, heading off.”
