Fu Yunhe looked at Rubble with suspicion and said, "Could it be that they inherited my intelligence?"
Rubble turned his head and suddenly smiled.
"You’re saying Ms. Nian Shutong isn’t smart."
Oh, co on!
Fu Yunhe realized he’d been tricked. He pointed a finger at Rubble, montarily at a loss for words. That honest, straightforward, and narcissistic Rubble had actually baited him.
Risking getting beaten up, Fu Yunhe shared the incident with Nian Shutong. She was surprised too but took it well.
She secretly told Fu Yunhe, "Let tell you, Rubble once hugged voluntarily."
Fu Yunhe’s incredulous expression made Nian Shutong say proudly, "Yes, Rubble likes the most."
Both of them felt sothing like proud parents toward Rubble and Ha Ha.
As the children grew up, Fu Tianqing and Nian Zichen also began to have their own lives, and Rubble’s lab beca a bit quieter.
Rubble took so ti to adapt initially, but he didn’t quite understand why, so he just continued with his research.
Every ti he completed research, he would organize it and submit it to the interstellar science journal.
With interstellar stability, the entertainnt industry developed rapidly, and so did the academic circle.
The most renowned Star Bell Awards nominated Rubble for every category, changing each ti. If not for consideration of other winners, the officials actually wanted to award Rubble with every trophy because he was just too outstanding.
Finally, the Star Bell Awards committee decided to create a special award for Rubble, nad the Rubble Award, a prestigious academic honor.
Rubble was regarded by the academic world as a god-like figure in the entire community.
The last ti Rubble appeared on the award stage was also the first ti he gave an award speech.
Standing on the stage, Rubble casually held his trophy and gave a slight smile to people like Nian Shutong, Fu Yunhe, and Ha Ha, who were always present, no matter how many tis.
"I often say the wrong things and sotis make people angry. I still don’t understand why, but throughout Rubble’s life, they’ve always been there for . Here, I want to tell them, in my world, there’s only you all. I love you very much."
After saying this, Rubble bowed to the people below in gratitude, and Nian Shutong and the others had tears in their eyes.
After the award ceremony ended, Nian Shutong imdiately rushed forward and hugged Rubble tightly.
"Rubble, what you said was really nice."
"Rubble spoke the truth."
"I know, I know. This is the most beautiful virtue of the chanical Clan."
Everyone boarded the Starship together and returned to Blue Star, where a huge party was prepared for Rubble.
The people of Blue Star celebrated together for Rubble. Although Rubble thought there was no reason to celebrate just for winning an award—since to him it was quite normal—he was willing to stay if they wanted to celebrate.
Rubble looked at the noisy crowd below. Among them, Nian Shutong accurately turned around, found Rubble, and waved her arm at him.
Rubble waved his arm back, interacting with Nian Shutong.
Grandpa Wadden, Rubble didn’t find a soulmate, but he found family—a very good family.
After attending the final award ceremony, Rubble no longer appeared in public. He recalled a project he once discussed with Grandpa Wadden, regarding ti reversal and ti travel.
In his heart, he still harbored a small desire that perhaps he might et Grandpa Wadden.
Rubble began leaving early and returning late, spending most of his ti in the lab. Were it not for Nian Shutong’s request that he co out at least once a week for als with them, Rubble might have disappeared for a long ti.
Nian Shutong observed Rubble, who would leave imdiately after eating, with a hint of unease about his deviation-like focus.
"Fu Yunhe, is Rubble okay?"
"He’ll be fine. He’s just deeply engrossed in research."
Nian Shutong nodded, thinking it would be alright. Rubble always put his heart and soul into his research.
It’s just that this ti, the research seed to be taking a bit too long.
At the next weekly gathering, Rubble, who ca out, noticeably looked more worn.
"Rubble, what are you researching?"
"It’s about the issues of positions locating or indirectly spatial distribution in ti and space, based on the sa temporal and spatial reference fras and their motion changes."
Rubble looked at the inquiring Nian Shutong after saying that, and Nian Shutong glanced helplessly at Fu Yunhe.
Fu Yunhe shrugged and said, "You insisted on asking."
Nian Shutong shook her head, realizing it was so very smart stuff.
"Rubble, is this research difficult?"
"Yes, Rubble is making slow progress."
If Rubble’s progress is slow, it must be extrely difficult, no wonder he seed a bit worn out.
"Rubble, you can continue your research, but from today, you must co out for als every day. You need occasional relaxation; sotis, inspiration might just co."
Nian Shutong might not understand technological things, but she’d seen many movies, and many great discoveries in movies started from sothing small.
Rubble did not refuse.
After dinner, Rubble didn’t hurry to leave but rather looked at Nian Shutong.
"What’s wrong?"
"Ms. Nian Shutong, Rubble has run out of money."
"Run out of what?"
Nian Shutong was genuinely puzzled. It wasn’t about stinginess; Rubble had so many patents, earning quite a lot over the years. And yet, he said he had no money.
"Rubble has run out of money."
Without any embarrassnt, Rubble repeated himself.
"Alright, I understand. I’ll ask Lian Qing to give you money. Take however much you need from Lian Qing."
Nian Shutong no longer worried about the finances. She glanced at Lian Qing, who nodded imdiately and said, "I understand, Master."
The financial issue was perfectly solved.
Rubble continued his research. Initially, Nian Shutong was worried and supervised for a while. Rubble would co out for als daily and no longer looked worn out. Although the research progressed slowly, everything was steadily on track.
She stopped worrying. The kids grew up and had their own careers, and she and Fu Yunhe started wandering across the interstellar space.
Every year, during certain holidays, everyone would return and spend so ti together, but mostly, they were busy with their own things.
Ten years passed, and Rubble’s research finally succeeded.
He excitedly called Ms. Nian Shutong. She was on her way back and was very happy for Rubble.
This was a project Rubble had been working on for over a decade, truly a tough accomplishnt.
When Nian Shutong and Fu Yunhe returned, Fu Tianqing and Nian Zichen also ca back. Everyone gathered again to celebrate Rubble’s success.
After the celebration, Rubble activated his ti-travel device alone. He truly t with Grandpa Wadden; the old and the young exchanged smiles, mirroring each other perfectly.
"I always knew you would succeed."
Grandpa Wadden’s figure faded, and Rubble adjusted the ti-travel device to reach Nian Shutong’s world, without disturbing her, leaving only a portal linking to the interstellar space.
"Rubble will be waiting for you in the future, my family."
