Chapter 53: SCREWED

Abigail

Alicia Duke had been yapping for eleven minutes and honestly, watching paint dry was more interesting.

"...the engagent has been insane, people are so excited, especially the younger adults and I really think if we just lean into that energy a little more to that demographic, we could really-"

"The younger demographic doesn’t buy cars." Finn didn’t look up from his laptop screen, his hair slicked back, with a few strands falling on the side of his cold face.

He had been ignoring

ever since the spanking at the office two weeks ago.

A chill swept down my spine as I rembered the warning bells.

"...They influence the people who do. Make the parents want it while making their children feel like they found it first. If your strategy isn’t doing that, you’ll need to redo it, Miss Duke."

The tapping of Alicia’s pen against the conference table stopped dead. She reached up, winding a strand of blonde hair around one finger. "Okay, Boss,"

"The Milan photoshoot is forty thousand over the original budget," The CFO declared a frown on his face as he gestured to the slide show on the screen highlighting the stages we had to clear before the launch next week.

Marcus who was part of the finance team was in the eting too and the clown kept making goofy faces at . It took everything not to burst out laughing when he gestured to Alicia and mimicked twirling her hair.

We already had the car engine brought to perfection all thanks to the Boss’ brilliant designs. He must really love cars, he looked rather determined while figuring out what was wrong with the engine the day he tested the vehicle.

"Add a padding budget to the initial one you submitted for review," Finnegan replied, "I want a detailed report of the expenses however in writing and in graphs."

The CFO swallowed, poor William had sweat rolling down his forehead as he muttered a "Sure thing, boss,"

I couldn’t say I envied his job. As Chief financial officer, his office was very important to Wolfe Corp, and very dangerous too.

Especially if you were working for a man like my boss who noticed every single thing.

Everything except

apparently.

"What is the schedule for the Milan photoshoot?"

That question was directed to , and yet his eyes were glued to the screen before him, refusing to look at

or even call my na.

I stalled, pressing my lips in a flat line while everyone in the room glanced around wondering who was supposed to answer that question. His eyes flicked up then, briefly towards .

So now he could look at .

"The creative director wants final approval on Monday." I replied, holding his gaze. "We fly in on Tuesday, have Wednesday and Thursday for the shoot before the launch next weekend, Boss,"

He gave a grunt and continued on, asking the heads of the Legal and Marketing departnt for their contributions.

That was it. No glance up or anything.

My heels dug into the carpet under the table.

Alicia leaned forward on her desk, flashing him her fake tits through her top, her whole body angling toward the head of the table.

"For the launch party I was thinking the models would arrive in the prototype. It would be so cinematic, the press would go absolutely wild-"

"The car is the product." He said dryly, "Not the models."

The smile on her face died quickly. She reached for her coffee shakily, glancing at

over the rim of her mug. She hadn’t said anything about seeing

at the club again and I simply ignored her.

Denying or affirming it would only give her sothing to be all proud about. What I did outside this building was my fucking business. Besides, it had to have been past two in the morning or sothing like that when she supposedly saw .

I would bet she wasn’t sure it was . I just had to make sure she wouldn’t ntion it around Finnegan, or he was definitely going to connect the dots.

"Thank you everyone, let’s put our best in this and make the launch a success,"

"Yes sir," We chorused as the eting wrapped up. Chairs scraped the floor as they were pushed back and people filed toward the door.

"I swear I thought I would piss my pants," Marcus muttered on his way past

earning a snort from . He gave a little wave before disappearing out the door along with everyone else.

"Miss Kellerman."

Finally.

The room was empty. Finnegan stood at the head of the table, his laptop closed in front of him, sleeves pushed to his forearms.

I strutted over to pick up the laptop when his words had

pausing. "What happened in my office was unprofessional. I didn’t an to take advantage of you, It won’t happen again."

He wouldn’t even look at

when he said that. I gave a sour chuckle. "You didn’t exactly drag

over that desk against my wishes-"

"It will NEVER happen again." He snapped, green eyes finally fixing on . "Am I clear?"

"Crystal," I muttered, picking up the laptop and giving him a smile, I zipped at my lips pretending to throw the key away. "Better?"

"I am being serious. This isn’t funny,"

My smile died a ugly death. Then it completely disappeared when he continued talking.

"From today, five o’clock you’re off the clock. If I need anything beyond that, I’ll reach you via calls and emails. There’ll be exceptions around the launch but that’s the rule going forward."

What in the world? It felt like I was seventeen again and being grounded by emaw for sneaking out.

Wasn’t that a little bit too far? We had the launch coming up, there was a shit ton of work to do, that I would rather do in the office but I got the mo. He wanted

out of the building once it was five pm. I could do everything else remotely.

If he could go this far, drawing up new boundaries over a bit of spanking, what would he do when he found out the woman who had played truth or dare with on Saturday night, marking her throat with his cum, was , his assistant?

Oh my god. Annette was right. I was screwed. Totally screwed.
