Chapter 183: Star & Planet

I broke away from the monsters, and with a large slam, I broke into the earth and entered a free fall as I felt the energy within the stone destabilise.

Perhaps my disruption ability has done more work than I expected.

The streams of my mana that flowed down like streams of water through cracks on the beach created a web-like structure that continued to stretch further down. The burst of mana from absorbing Espr's core allowed this advance to work, and with these veins of my light stretching out, disrupting Espr's energy, I was able to leech off so of it to recover.

Even with increasing my recovery… I am being drained fast…

The smile didn’t reach my face as I felt the force of Espr energy push down on as I rapidly descended.

If I could’ve teleported that Hood bastard here, then he would’ve popped like a balloon, and there wouldn't even have been a need to have a fight.

I lanted an easy path missed.

Thousands of stones cracked apart and flew towards like drones.

This is getting repetitive!

Flas burst from my body as I accelerated downwards, spiralling out of the way of the attacks, but thousands, then tens of thousands of these needles of stone rained down. Each one that penetrated my body either exploded, eating out chunks of this body’s form or expanded to be a lingering threat.

In the distance, I could see this opening close, and so as I flew towards the solid wall, I curved and, with Starlight shielding, I drilled through more stone. The missiles of rock chased after . Espr’s control sohow greatly increased in this short while, which was sure lovely.

Not looking back, I created a reinforced wall of Starlight behind , blocking the passageway of my newest tunnel. The thousands of stones were cramd right into it, but I could feel it cracking, and I didn’t hold much hope it would hold out for long.

Flas continued to burn brightly as I accelerated faster to stay ahead of whatever plan or reaction Espr would throw at . Breaking through the stone, I fell down into another large opening with empty darkness that stretched on for ages.

Not the space I was looking for.

“Opening up? I am all for it. You could create sothing really special down here. Need any advice?” I said with my continued taunting attitude.

(“ I thought you could just use so company ”)

“That’s an awful thing to say.” My words were proven true as more of Espr's lovely friends, those rock monsters, appeared from the ground, an army of the new and improved version. With an extra big friend in the centre.

Compared to the second generation… This large one has much clearer weaknesses.

One advantage for was that I could feel Espr's energy that was putting pressure on from the giant golem. In essence, it was just a thod of Espr to directly apply pressure on , which impacted my energy usage.

“Whelp. Ti to leave.” No reason for to deal with all that. Clasping my hands together, the drills of Starlight reford, and I went back to digging.

However, my running was quite short-lived.

Rumble!

As I quickly got away, the ground behind opened up as the giant monster dug through the ground, and the smaller ones jumped down after .

“Dammit, Espr!” I accelerated faster, but the rock behind was torn apart easily. The large golem travelled through the earth as if it were water. Not dealing with the sa pains as I had to when digging.

I made a quick flip and soared upwards. Dodging strikes from the monsters and the projectiles.

Nearly back to the ceiling of the large room. “I doubt this all was a big, well-thought-out plan for yours.”

The massive monster threw its hands up, and I felt a massive pressure slam into my body. Causing my skin to crack and light to slip out.

Bloody stupid! It’s all just rocks and pressure, but it tears apart my body so easily.

(“ Oh, what brought you to that conclusion? ”)

“Your defence has been so shitty.” I kept my complaints and pains to myself and insulted the planet for the absolutely awful job it had done so far.

(“ … ”)

“Has my conclusion stunned you so? Look at how the mighty have fallen.” I clicked my tongue and chucked a spear of Starlight into the core of the giant rock monstrosity. “Please, the evidence was as clear as day.”

(“ Are you a detective now? ”)

Espr asked; my voice sounded like it was insulting .

“I think I would make for a good one.” I accepted the complint. “I am sure you used your accelerated thinking and all the ti you had the mont the opportunity arose, but that still wasn’t enough. I am a pretty unique threat after all.”

The large monster wasn’t destroyed, but I felt the pressure lighten.

Ti for my own push.

“Thinking about wanting to do sothing and how to do it are two very different actions.” I let out a deep sigh and shrugged. “You could have been thinking about how to reclaim once our deal was broken, but the exact process of ‘how’ wasn’t continued.”

“I wonder, were you perhaps afraid?”

(“ afraid? ”)

The sound of my own flabbergasted voice was music to my ears.

(“ Why would that be the case? You are far weaker than and you haven’t achieved anything spectacular yet ”)

“One of those things is a lie. I have achieved many spectacular things; it is why you enjoyed my show so much.”

The dark cave suddenly brightened as my body shone like a star in this empty world. Flas billowed outwards, and my light sharpened. Then, without warning, I fell down through the golem into the hole I was making and continued to keep going.

Ti for one more push…

I had dug through so much rock… and now it was ti to say hello to a friend.

Past the molten ores and stone, I finally broke into a space full of light.
