After breakfast, Su Qingyue saw that the sun was warm, and since her third brother was helping her dry the dicine, she told him and took Zamao out for a walk.
Not far from the courtyard door, a child playing by the roadside saw her and quickly ran away.
Su Qingyue figured that this child must have been bought off by Li Gui and was surely off to inform him.
Sure enough, before long, Li Gui hurried over. Seeing her, he approached, “Su Qingyue!”
She glanced at him coldly, “What is it?”
He wanted to grab her hand directly but seeing the fierce, baring Zamao at her side, he dared not get too close, “I have sothing to tell you!”
“Then say it.”
“Su Qingyue, I heard that your deed of sale has been destroyed, and you’re no longer tied to the Xiao Family, is it true?”
“Yes.”
His face lit up with joy, “That’s really great. I was afraid I was happy for nothing.”
She raised an eyebrow at him, “What does it have to do with you?”
“Now that you have nothing to do with the Xiao Family, living there seems improper, it’s not good. You might as well co to my house…” He hadn’t finished speaking.
She slanted the corner of her lips, “How shaless of you to say that. I have nothing to do with you.”
Pondering her ordinary features, he always felt she had a special aura, “Su Qingyue, I truly like you. If you are willing to marry , I guarantee that the Li Family won’t marry off the sa wife. My younger brother, Li Cai, has recently taken a liking to a girl from the neighboring village, and they will soon be engaged. If you marry , I will be wholly devoted to you.”

He caught her slender hand, the soft and warm touch made his heart flutter just by holding her, “Don’t you believe my sincerity?”
Li Rong’er was originally carrying a wooden basin to the river bank to wash clothes and, passing the small path not far from her house, she saw Su Qingyue with Li Gui and quickly hid behind the fence corner.
Zamao let out a warning growl in Li Rong’er’s direction.
Frightened, Li Rong’er didn’t dare to move.
Seeing this and spotting the protruding sleeve from behind the corner fence, Su Qingyue knew Li Rong’er was eavesdropping.
She didn’t care, rely shaking off Li Gui’s hand, “Don’t touch again, or else…”
She narrowed her eyes slightly, and Li Gui, seeing a hint of chill in her gaze, inexplicably didn’t dare to be ‘handsy’ anymore, “Su Qingyue, my feelings for you are genuine. For your sake, I’ve rejected several marriage proposals.”
“That’s your business,” her voice cold as ice, “I’ve had nothing to do with you, nor do I need you to reject proposals for . I’ve already agreed to marry Xiao Yuchuan, it’s impossible between us!”
“What’s so good about Xiao Yuchuan?” Li Gui asked angrily, “Do you think he’s more handso than ? You should ask around the village, by looks alone, I’m more handso than him.
