Chapter 1499: 1499 Sending to the Official Residence
Su Qingyue was sitting at the table in the courtyard reading dical books and turned another page as if she had heard nothing.
Shen Yun was so angry at her indifference that she was practically grinding her teeth. If it was an ordinary woman with such thieving parents, she would have been too ashad to even leave her room, yet there she was!
Xiao Yuchuan went to the kitchen and brought over a plate of fruit himself. Seeing the people in the yard, he frowned, “Why did you bring the Su Family couple here?”

With a sweep of her sleeve, Shuang’er presented a box which was opened to reveal a green hairpin broken in two, with a purple gem embedded at the top.
“Moreover, the hairpin was found broken in your in-law’s room,” she said with regret in her tone, “today, Maid Yinzhu discovered a thief entering Qin Garden, your room, and caught them, only to find it was your in-laws. My purple jade hairpin had just gone missing, and suspecting that the Su Family couple might be the thieves, I never thought that sending soone to search their room would actually turn up the hairpin.”
“We’ve been wronged, Lady Xiao!” Su Qin burst out. “With the power of a first-class family, I wouldn’t dare steal from you even if I had the audacity of a deity. Su Qingyue closed the dical book in her hands, “Directly handing them over to the Official Residence it is.”
“Since Yue’er says so, The person, take Su Dashui and Su Qin to the Official Residence!” With Shen Yun’s command, the Su Family couple were taken away, crying and clamoring, but still they were taken further and further away.
Shen Yun had wanted to say that, with Su Qingyue’s thieving parents, she might well be a thief herself.
Thinking of her son’s protection which was more precious to him than life itself, she held back and instead spoke kindly, “Chuan’er, don’t take your in-laws’ theft to heart. Though it’s said ‘like father, like son’ and the children of mice will dig holes, but… I still believe in Qingyue.”
“This really has nothing to do with my wife. There’s no problem, you should appear less often,” Xiao Yuchuan said coldly.
“You child…” Shen Yun’s eyes welled up with fog, “Chuan’er, I’ve been separated from you for more than twenty years. I just want to spend so ti with you. How can you be so heartless!”
As she spoke, tears fell from her eyes, looking every part the mother lacking her child’s love.
“That’s enough, go back to Yi Garden.” Xiao Yuchuan was sowhat irritated.
Shen Yun wanted to say more, but still she left with her maid.
