In the Other Side, within the misty ancient castle.
An exquisite set of pure white armor stood in the empty hall. It looked at the figure before it, shrouded entirely in black shadow, and the giant white steel claw cowering in the corner. White steam hissed once more from the seams of its armor.
"You are so afraid of , yet you still carried it here to ?" The white armor sighed. While waiting for the pendant in its hand to give a response, it continued, "Do you think it would be useful to your master?"
The giant claw gave no response, but the eyeballs within the armor's gaps constantly darted toward the pendant in its hand, seemingly already wanting to take the pendant and flee.
"Don't go anywhere."
The Pure White Armor seed to see through the tal giant claw's intentions. Steam billowed from its body, and a tallic hum rang out: "Lest you bring more strange things back here..."
This little pet was quite interesting; it could actually lock onto the coordinates of its fortress within the Other Side… The Pure White Armor had thought it would get lost in the Other Side the mont it ran out.
Ordinary Other Side monsters wouldn't possess such an ability. This pet nad Little Left had likely consud quite a bit of Ciel's blood to develop such a power…
Just as the Pure White Armor was about to say more, the runes on the face of the faceless goddess pendant in its hand flashed with red light again.
A voice emanated from the glowing runes.
"Has Sadhana followed you? There is an Other Side node at your doorstep."
The young girl's phantom voice echoed through the hall.
"There is no need to worry about that. Your little pet rembered my coordinates, but Sadhana did not. She cannot find my place," the Pure White Armor replied.
Its response was quite confident, seemingly having great faith in its own fortress.
"What about the Grim Worm? Why was it injured by Sadhana?" Ciel's voice ca again.
The Grim Worm, which had been lying on the ground, stirred slightly. Shrouded in darkness, it slowly rose. From beneath its robe of shadow, countless long, spindly legs like black smoke erged, helping it stand steady.
"I have your blood on ." The Grim Worm's layered voice erged from beneath the shadow robe. "I was still dormant when I was ambushed by Her..."
Hearing this, the Pure White Armor looked up again at the tal giant claw standing in the corner. A large amount of white steam hissed from the seams of its armor.
That tal giant claw had also consud quite a lot of the Ti-Binder's blood, and even the armor itself had absorbed a little…
This was bad.
"I withdraw my previous statent…" The Pure White Armor held up the pendant, its voice tinged with embarrassnt. "Sadhana truly seems to have a way to pinpoint this location."
After the Pure White Armor finished speaking, the blood-red sigil on the pendant dimd, and it fell silent for a while.
"Don't worry. Even if Sadhana reaches this place, it's impossible for Her to use the Other Side node to leave. If it were possible, I would have left long ago," the Pure White Armor said, seemingly to ease the awkward atmosphere. "An Other Side creature of Little Left's level wouldn't survive more than a few seconds out there; your blood is the real pass."
"What if She kill you and take my blood from your bodies?" The runes on the faceless goddess statue's face lit up again, and Ciel's voice ca through.
This ti, it was the Pure White Armor’s side that fell silent.
After a long while, Ciel's voice rang out again.
"If anything else happens, contact again."
The red runes dimd completely. It seed Ciel had matters to attend to on her end.
Looking at the pendant in its hand, then at the tal giant claw huddled in the corner, a question echoed in the Pure White Armor's mind.
In this Other Side, just how many creatures had obtained Ciel's blood…?
Perhaps, Sadhana really could scrape together enough for a "pass" to briefly enter reality…
...
Ciel had originally thought she would have at least two full days of rest, but unexpectedly, after just one night, bad news arrived from the Other Side.
Sadhana… was trying every possible way to briefly erge from the Other Side to co for her…
This truly exceeded Ciel's expectations, forcing her to start thinking of ways to deal with a Sadhana that might actually manifest in reality…
Was the plan to destroy the Other Side node feasible?
If the Other Side node could be destroyed outright, it would eliminate Sadhana's ability to cross over from the Other Side into reality.
However, it was entirely possible that this could not be accomplished…
The Pure White Armor had been so annoyed by the harassnt from the Other Side node, yet it still hadn't destroyed it. This spoke volus.
And currently, the Other Side node was still deep underground beneath the Church of the God of Order.
Trading with the Pope using the Other Side was one thing, but if she wanted to destroy the Other Side node right under her nose, it likely wouldn't be easy—not to ntion the possibility that it simply couldn't be destroyed.
The Other Side creatures Ciel had summoned through "Spiritual Summoning" were all favorably disposed toward her, so they wouldn't attack. This didn't an Other Side creatures weren't powerful; one only needed to look at the destruction they could cause in reality to understand the truth.
Even summoning just Little Left, transcendents of Tier 2 and below facing its almost phantom-like movent speed were essentially left to be slaughtered at will.
If a transcendent creature that viewed Ciel as a mortal enemy and possessed enough power to injure the Grim Worm appeared in reality, it would be a disaster for this world.
She had to obtain the "Knight" potion quickly.
Ciel needed to know the sources of all the materials and the thods for their preparation, so she could concoct and consu the potion as quickly as possible upon entering a Past Days simulation.
Erging from her thoughts, Ciel saw Avena still sitting by the bedside, watching her. She hadn't spoken, making no move to interrupt Ciel’s deep contemplation or her communication with the Other Side creature.
"I'm free." Avena spoke directly upon seeing Ciel look toward her, as if she had already anticipated what Ciel was going to say.
Ciel's mouth, which had begun to open, slowly closed; she had indeed been about to ask if Avena was available.
