Ciel held the “Sacred Contract” made of ancient parchnt, shook it casually, and turned to look at Tara.

“What is a Sacred Contract?”

Ciel directly asked Tara.

Is this a contract like the “Eye of Order Contract”?

If so, it would be harder for Ciel to avoid the contents of the contract.

Looking at Ciel’s question, Tara paused slightly, then replied, “Lord Ciel, this is actually a byproduct of a high-level sealed artifact within the Church of the Savior Goddess.”

“Will anything happen if the contract is violated?”

Ciel asked casually, seeming to be looking for loopholes in the contract right in front of the two mbers of the Church of the Savior Goddess, but Ciel didn’t care at all.

“The sealed artifact will receive a notification.”

Tara shook her head, “Nothing will happen. This is essentially just a sealed artifact of the ‘Ascetic’ path. It has no direct connection to the Mother Goddess.”

Oh…

High-level lie detector.

Ciel scanned it again, confirming that the contents would not affect her doing anything. Then, she looked up at the two people before her.

“Are you sure this contract will still be valid after ti is rewound?”

Ciel placed the parchnt on the table.

Madeline had been very displeased with Tara’s reply since earlier, but it was not appropriate to show it imdiately. She said with her eyes lowered, “No matter how ti and space change, the Goddess is eternal and unchanging. The contract will be effective at any ti.”

“Oh? Does Lord Mother Goddess know that She gave you this sealed artifact for you to witness sothing?”

Tara didn’t yield at all and asked back with interest.

Tara knew very well that this thing was not a sealed artifact related to the Goddess at all, nor was it like the Eye of Order Contract, a ritual associated with “Uniqueness.” It was impossible for it to have any effect on Lord Mother Goddess.

Tara’s continuous remarks and exposures finally made Madeline’s brows furrow. She coldly glanced at Tara, then looked at Ciel and said coldly, “If the people of the Divine Advent Church have this attitude, I believe this is not a good thing for the church rger either.”

“Tara.”

Ciel spoke, stopping Tara from provoking the other side further.

She rembered that before she summoned the Grim Worm, this person nad Madeline was a vanguard against the Divine Advent Church. She even disregarded the Pope’s words and stepped forward to stop her, but her attack was blocked by Eleanor.

The current situation, which was extrely critical for the Church of the Savior Goddess, made Madeline slightly refrain, but she still had a sense of being incompatible with the Divine Advent Church.

Ciel reached out and took the pen. She directly signed her na on the Sacred Contract, then said, “Then what? Do I need to take this Sacred Contract to find you?”

“You just need to transcribe the contents of the Sacred Contract without changing anything and co to the Holy See… You can take things back to the past?”

Madeline was stunned. This was completely unexpected to her.

“Otherwise?”

Ciel looked at the two people who clearly had more to say and spoke.

She finally understood the initial thod of the Church of the Savior Goddess.

They planned to use the sealed artifact to directly lie-detect Ciel, who was carrying a transcription of the Sacred Contract’s contents. This way, they could still obtain the correct information and react accordingly.

But when Ciel said she could take things back, the matter imdiately beca simple.

“Please wait.”

Eleanor said.

Soon, a black shadow slowly appeared beside her. The black shadow drew out an exquisite rectangular wooden box from its body and placed it on the table.

“We also considered that you might be able to take things back. If so, things would be much simpler.”

Eleanor extended her hands and slowly opened the box in front of Ciel, revealing the item inside.

This was an exquisite scepter, taller than Ciel herself. She had seen this item before; it was previously held by the elderly Pope.

“If you can take this scepter back to the past and bring it to the Holy See,”

Eleanor looked at Ciel and said, “We will act according to the contents of the Sacred Contract and cooperate with your actions.”

It seed the Church of the Savior Goddess had considered things very thoroughly.

Except…

“Is this a sealed artifact?”

Ciel looked at the exquisite scepter before her and asked.

“Although there are transcendent materials on it, it is not considered a sealed artifact.”

Eleanor explained.

“These transcendent crafts are just to ensure it cannot be replicated.”

As long as it’s not a sealed artifact…

If it was so high-level sealed artifact, and Ciel returned to the past only to find she couldn’t redeem it, it would be sowhat frustrating.

Ciel reached out and directly picked up the scepter, examining it up and down.

In reality, she certainly couldn’t reveal her “ti-travel” ability to the Church of the Savior Goddess.

Heaven knows if there were moles from other organizations within the Church of the Savior Goddess. She dared not gamble her life on the high-ranking mbers of the Church of the Savior Goddess.

The best thod… would be a “divine oracle.”

And this matter, she couldn’t let Amy do it.

She hadn’t considered letting Amy take the Sacred Contract and the scepter to temporarily control the Church of the Savior Goddess.

Amy had a divine servant protecting her and could herself beco the new Saintess. There would be absolutely no doubt if she joined the Church of the Savior Goddess. She would just need to issue commands on her behalf.

But Ciel was no longer prepared to let the people around her take risks for her.

Adele’s death in this simulation had served as a warning to Ciel.

Adele was just helping her deliver sothing, yet she was easily killed, without any ans of resistance… If the other party was targeting Amy and wanted to kill her, there were plenty of ways.

Therefore…

Ciel decided to let Tara go.
