“Order God above... What in the world is that thing...”

Above the central hall of the Clock Tower Church, a figure in a long, slender trench coat stood on the roof, a combination of steel structure and glass.

Her hands were clearly human hands, but her head was almost completely covered and eroded by steel structures, becoming a half-grotesque iron helt. Only her jaw and lips remained as intact human features.

At this mont, she looked at the bloody twilight in the distance, dumbfounded.

The station personnel below had already been evacuated into Ansu City. The once bustling station was now empty.

And further behind was a sowhat ssy area of shacks and nurous factories. Thick smoke billowed from the factory chimneys, enveloping the entire city in a gray haze.

About two or three kiloters in front of her, a flickering black shadow, clearly weakened, stood in the center of the railway, its eerie insect wings curled and retracted, as if undergoing so painful struggle.

And behind it, a blood cape extending God knows how many kiloters was connected to its wings. Cobweb-like blood threads bound the blood cape to the wings.

On that “blood cape” were countless skeletons and corpses, and so living, blood-soaked “people” who seed to have half their bodies rged into the “blood cape” and were screaming.

“Is that an out of control transcendent? What path? ‘Evil Punisher’? Can an ‘Evil Punisher’ cause this kind of commotion...”

She murmured sothing, raising her hand to rub her human jaw.

Suddenly, the black shadow in the distance seed to slowly raise its head, looking towards Ansu, seemingly attracted by sothing again.

This upward movent caused a buzzing and wailing to echo in the mind of the woman in the trench coat. An uncontrollable urge for violence began to surge in her heart.

She quickly looked at a person beside her and said, “Hey! That Commander over there! It’s ti to act! It’s starting to move towards here!”

Ding—

A crisp, piano-like note sounded. The woman’s frantic feeling in her mind was instantly dispelled. However, after a mont, this franticness began to stack up again.

This note sounded as if it vibrated an invisible ripple. The ripple spread outwards at the speed of sound. After about eight seconds, the terrifying black shadow in the distance and the blood cape behind it both erupted in a cloud of blood mist, as if a bomb had been thrown into a sea of blood.

The scarlet brilliance in the sky almost instantly contracted. Even the blood cape on the black shadow’s body began to writhe, continuously rging into the black shadow’s body through blood threads, replenishing the damage it had sustained.

So fierce!

The woman looked at the terrifying figure in the distance, which had suffered imnse damage and stopped moving again, marveling inwardly.

These terrifying abilities of Tier 4 transcendents were shocking no matter how many tis she saw them. If she were to fight them, she saw no way to win.

This was almost completely unrelated to humans...

She looked at the figure beside the railway, the white-haired male figure with his back to her, directly facing the monstrous scarlet brilliance before him, his right hand resting on a phantom silver piano before him.

She saw him elegantly raise his hand, remove the white gloves he was wearing, revealing the fingers beneath, as soft as a baby’s. He spread his hands again, slowly placed them on the keys before him, preparing to start playing directly.

But just at this mont, a sudden anomaly occurred.

A giant black spear whooshed from behind the woman, almost grazing her ear, and directly struck the phantom piano, shattering it into a pile of golden debris.

After shattering the piano, the black spear turned into black mist and dissipated, revealing a figure wearing a black faceless mask. The silver patterns on the mask seed to depict an angry human face.

Four sharp insect wings unfolded from behind that figure. She raised her right hand, and a black shadow spear condensed in her palm again. Her loose black robes rustled in the wind.

“What, so this is also sothing you, the Church of the Savior Goddess, created?”

The white-haired man did not speak. His voice, however, spread out like musical notes. Even the woman in the trench coat standing on the station roof could hear it clearly.

“You, the Church of the Savior Goddess... haven’t you been a bit too active lately?”

Although the man’s voice carried no emotion, the mockery within his words was evident.

And at this mont, the masked woman in robes, who had stopped the man’s attack, had a black shadow erge from behind her. Her figure twisted. Her body had swapped positions with the black shadow behind her. The black shadow continued to point the spear at the man, while she herself looked at the blood-red sky in the distance.

Grim Worm... Why?

Goddess above...

The struggling “people” behind the Grim Worm caused a sharp pain in the masked woman’s heart. Her mind was filled with endless wailing, as if she felt empathy for those despairing voices.

Why did the Grim Worm appear at this ti? And why did it kill so many people? What is going on?

The Grim Worm, the most ferocious Holy Spirit beneath the Goddess’s seat. According to records, when it appears, it is always to punish beings who have committed great errors against the Goddess.

At the sa ti, the Grim Worm is also a symbol of the Judicator’s Court. Even the emblem of the Judicator’s Court is inscribed with the Grim Worm’s insect wings.

But now, the Grim Worm’s appearance and actions confused the woman.

Was this summoned by the Divine Advent Church? Could it be... they truly did sothing wrong to the extent of incurring the Grim Worm’s punishnt?

But why is it also so weak?

Is this the Goddess’s will? What exactly does the Goddess an?

She couldn’t attack the Grim Worm, but she also had to block the Grim Worm outside the city... otherwise, the entire Ansu would beco a hellscape.

“I advise you to move aside, Eleanor.”

The man’s voice sounded again, “Casualties have already started appearing in the city... Can’t you hear those angry musical notes? That’s Aiden Town. It’s your parish~”

“Shut up.”

Eleanor suppressed the anger in her heart and swore.

Currently, she was already confused by the Grim Worm’s appearance. This was clearly sothing related to the church, and it had caused such great casualties. No matter what the outco of this matter was, the Church of the Savior Goddess Holy See was in dire straits.

Being exiled from Ansu was a minor matter. What she was most worried about was the Goddess’s reckoning.

Reinforcents from all sides were continuously arriving. She didn’t have much ti left to make a choice...
