Adam took a step forward the mont the man tried to chase him away. With a smile on his face, he looked at the man in front of him and asked, "Aren’t you just too arrogant and cocky? You actually even have the guts to tell to get out of my own territory? If there is soone that is supposed to scram, then I guess it is you."
Lucas was surprised that Adam actually belonged to this territory. Previously, he had noticed that the group that he had sent outside did not return. Since he was a person that really cared about all his n, he had decided to go out and look for them.
During this apocalypse, he just knew how important it was to have enough human resources. So, rather than sending anyone else out, he simply took out a group of people and went to look for them by himself.
But, he had never expected what he found. Since he already knew the way that Isaac and the others took, he also followed it.
But, he ca to find their dead bodies without heads. This had surprised him, and at the sa ti, infuriated him. Even though he had already reached the Bronze rank, he knew how important it was to have enough human resources.
Even though it was true that Isaac and his group had not yet reached the Bronze rank, they were bound to reach that level at so point. And if they did that, they were going to help him in creating a big territory that might perhaps rule the whole world.
In the end, he decided that he had to take revenge for them. He had already realized that they had not been killed by a human, but rather, looking at the wounds on their bodies, it was obvious that they had been killed by a monster or a zombie.
So, rather than letting things go, he had decided to look for that zombie or monster, to kill its and get the mutation crystal from it. At the sa ti, it could also be used to help him in leveling up.
But, he had never expected that he was going to encounter a building that was so majestic looking and out of place on his way to look for the zombie.
At that mont, he had decided that he had to know what was hidden inside this building. Perhaps, this might actually be sothing like a dungeon or sothing.
But as he approached the building, he was suddenly stopped by an invisible wall. He was surprised, but he still reacted by trying to take it down.
But, what ca as a surprise to him was the fact that, no matter how hard he attacked, he was not able to do any damage on that invisible wall. It was as if the wall was invisible and invincible.
Just as he was thinking about what thod to utilize to break that invisible wall, Olivia suddenly ca out. She had already received the warning alarm from the territory that there was a person who was attacking the territory from outside.
But, she had never expected that the person who was attacking this ti was actually Lucas, the person that she was supposed to marry before the apocalypse descended.
And, that was how things got to the way they were currently...
"Oh, if that is actually the case, then I guess I will just have to take this territory and chase you away." Lucas responded. At this mont, he had already decided that he would not only take Olivia, but he was going to take over this territory as well.
After all, as the strongest man present in the whole city, he was supposed to be living in the most majestic building in the city as well. Even though there were several buildings that looked way better than this one, the vibe that this building was giving was like that of a royal palace.
And since the apocalypse had already descended, it was obvious that all those mansions and villas were going to be thrown onto the ground by monsters and zombies. But for this building, it even had a protection of its own.
Adam looked at him with a scornful gaze, and said, "You just shalessly claid that you are currently the strongest man in the whole city. Why don’t you let try and see how strong the strongest man in the city is?"
"Hehe, are you sure about this? I hope that you don’t regret your decision." Lucas replied before taking a fighting stance.
"Believe , I won’t." Adam replied with a simple chuckle, before taking a step forward and attacking.
Swoosh!
The battle axe that he was carrying suddenly cut through the air as it headed towards Lucas. At this mont, Adam had decided to utilize his full strength, not holding back even for a single second.
It was true that he really did not like Olivia that much, but, she was important for the territory. Additionally, there was actually a guy that was trying to poach a person from their territory, during the period that they needed to get even more people.
And other than that, this guy actually dared to claim the title of ’the strongest man’ present in the whole city. So, at this mont, Adam had already gotten dissatisfied about this. So, since the other party was actually giving him the chance to fight him, then he might as well utilize this chance to ensure that he proved his strength.
Lucas’s eyes widened in surprise when he realized that the speed of the axe that was heading towards him was actually way faster than he had been expecting.
But still, he was able to react fast and side stepped to the left, narrowly dodging the attack.
Bang! Boom!
The battle axe landed on the ground, causing a lot of dirt and pebbles were thrown into the air.
Lucas was also surprised by the imnse destructive power that Adam possessed. But still, he wasn’t given a chance to continue thinking about it, as Adam had already retracted the battle axe and attacked again.
This ti, Adam slashed horizontally. They attack this ti was quite fast, giving Lucas little chance of dodging.
The sharp edge of the battle axe’s blade managed to make a small wound on Lucas’s chest. But still, Lucas was still able to evade a fatal attack.
Lucas managed to create a distance between the two of them, and looked at Adam seriously. At this mont, he had already stopped being arrogant. Instead, he had decided to take the fight with seriousness it deserves.
He had never expected that Adam was this strong. But still, he was not going to give up and agree that Adam was actually of the sa level as him.
Looking at the blood that had already begun dripping from his chest wound, his eyes narrowed as he looked at Adam who was looking at him smugly.
"You know, since the apocalypse descended, you are actually the first being to injure . So, you should be proud of yourself. But, all this ends now." Lucas said as he looked at Adam. And in the next mont, he retrieved the sword that he was carrying on his back.
Swish!
The mont that the sword was taken out of its scabbard, Lucas finally attacked. He had already been practicing swordsmanship for a while now, and he could be considered skilled.
Clank! Clank!
The sword and the battle axe collided with one another creating sparks in the air. No matter who it was, none of them retreated as they continue to attack and block the attacks that were launched towards them.
Lucas was using a sword, and for that reason, he was fast. But still, Adam still managed to block and evade his attacks all this ti. On the other hand, Adam was strong, and all his attacks possessed incredible power.
For that reason, facing the attacks, Lucas did not dare to take them head on. He always made sure to parry them or dodge, rather than blocking the attacks.
But as the two of them continued to fight, several attacks began landing on each other. And at the sa ti, Lucas finally realized that he was not getting any advantage over Adam.
And what was more, it was the fact that his sword had already begun showing signs of breaking. It was obvious that the quality of his sword was actually not at the sa level as the battle axe that Adam was wielding.
His eyes narrowed again. He had already detected that if the fight continued the way it’s then, he was surely going to fall at a disadvantage after losing his weapon.
But still, there was sothing that he could not understand. That was the fact that, the sword that he was currently wielding was actually a two-star weapon. This was sothing that he had gotten due to sheer luck.
If the two star weapon was actually weak, did that imply that the battle acts that Adam was wielding was actually at 3 star or above weapon? Just thinking of this, Lucas began thinking of taking the secrets that Adam possessed after he made sure to defeat him.
This ti, he decided to stop holding back. After managing to create a distance between the two of them, he looked at Adam with sweat on his forehead and said, "I think I will have to stop holding back. I’m going to use my ultimate skill, the one that I received the mont I beca the first person to reach the Bronze rank."
