Not far away from the altar, the space suddenly began crumbling. At the sa ti, black cracks began appearing, as if the space was being torn apart.
The cracks began expanding rapidly, causing Henry and his group to retreat. They could not understand what was going on here, but from the films that they had seen so far, they understood what the concept about space was.
They understood that according to the sci-fi movies that they had been watching previously, as long as space cracked like this, then if a person was actually caught in between, they could actually be torn into pieces.
It might be true that currently, they were powerful as compared to normal humans, but nobody could guarantee that they could actually survive if the encountered sothing like this.
Observing from a distance, they saw that the space continuously cracked, and soon, there was small circle that was ford in between the cracks.
The circle was black in color, not giving Henry and the group the impression of what was inside of that small circle. But nevertheless, the mont that the small circle was ford, Henry and the group suddenly got a bad feeling about it.
And as soon as this small circle was ford, a huge amount of killing intent suddenly began charging out of that small circle that had been ford.
The intensity of the killing intent that was coming out of the small circle was actually way higher as compared to the one that was coming from the altar previously.
Yes, previously. Without even Henry and a group noticing, the killing intent that was coming from the altar had already stopped completely, and the altar looked nothing special, looking completely ordinary.
As the size of the circle began expanding, the amount of killing intent that was coming out of it drastically increased. As for the cracks on space in the surrounding areas, it continuously expanded.
Just as Henry and the group had thought previously, all the things in the surrounding areas that touched a crack were actually disintegrated into dust. It did not matter if it was a rock, a tal, or even wood, all of them were actually turned into dust.
The mont that Henry and the group saw that, they beca extrely cautious. At this point, they realized that the cracks that were continuously expanding were actually way more dangerous than they had expected.
Henry wanted to retreat from this place. But there was only one problem, and that was the fact that currently, the place where the cracks had appeared was way close to the place that they had used to enter this place.
That implied that if they wanted to get out of here, they had to create another exit to get out of here. They could not depend on the sa entrance that they had used to get here to get out of here.
As soon as he thought of that, Henry conjured a fireball. Then, he looked at the group around him and said, "You guys should move aside first. I want to create a passage for us to get out of here."
Olivia and the rest of the group moved as soon as Henry finished what he was saying. And after everyone moved aside, Henry looked up and blasted the fireball upwards.
Booom!
An explosion occurred. The shaking of the room intensified for a mont, but it stabilized a mont later.
Henry looked at the ceiling of the shrine that they were currently in, and he could not believe what he saw. Actually, there was no damage that had been caused on the ceiling of this place.
Of course, inside here, if one looked up, they could see that the ceiling also possessed the carvings that were on the walls. It was completely different if it was looked at from above.
Previously, Lenta had been capable of destroying the floor easily, allowing them to be able to access this place. But right now, there was not even a scratch on the ceiling of this place, although Henry had attacked with a third of his strength.
Not convinced, Henry increased the power of the fireball before launching it towards the ceiling once again. And after an explosion, there was no damage that was dealt to the ceiling.
"It seems that those carvings are actually protecting the wall. It seems that if we attack from the inside, there is no damage that can be done to it. We can only depend on attacking from outside to be able to access this place." Henry stated after a mont of contemplation.
The others also attempted attacking, but the results were just as Henry’s. This made them feel so despair considering that the black cracks were actually continuously extending.
Other than that, currently, there was actually a dark mist that was coming out of the small circle that had been ford. The circle had already expanded to the size of a tennis ball, and it was continuously expanding.
It might actually be small right now, but the cracks that were surrounding it were definitely not small at all. And, those things were completely dangerous, and none of them was willing to test them out if they were capable of surviving or not.
Henry thought for a mont. Currently, the only way that they could get out of here was if soone actually managed to get out of this place, and attack and make a hole from above.
It was true that Storm was not here. But Not only was Storm currently protecting Sarah, but even if Henry decided to use the summoning function, allowing him to summon him here, Storm would actually appear here inside the shrine with them. So, it was completely useless.
"I have a suggestion. I just don’t know if it is going to work." Just as Henry was thinking of another solution, Olivia finally spoke up.
Henry looked at her with curiosity, wondering what idea she was having in mind. Currently, they really could use any idea that could work. Even if it could not, it was better to try it out.
Looking at the expression that was on Henry’s face, Olivia understood. So, she went ahead and explained the idea that she was having.
"I currently possess a teleportation skill that you gave previously. With it, I’m capable of teleporting 20 m away from where I am. So, I’m thinking that if I get closer to the ceiling of this shrine, perhaps I would be able to teleport outside of this place, then create an exit for you guys from outside." Olivia stated.
"Let’s try that." Henry imdiately agreed. Although he was not sure about how that teleportation skill worked, at least he knew that this teleportation skill was capable of teleporting a person 20 m from their initial location. As for if there were any requirents, Olivia would have definitely thought about them before suggesting sothing like this.
Lenta’s current form was only about 1 m tall. But currently, they needed him to increase the size. So, without hesitation, he transford back to his original size after Olivia stood on top of his back.
With the elevation, Olivia was finally closer to the ceiling. After that, she took a deep breath before she activated the teleportation skill.
She felt the energy in her body being consud as the skill was being activated. But then, just as the skill was about to be activated, sothing happened.
Out of nowhere, there was a disturbance that completely blocked the skill from completely activating. For that reason, the skill ended up as a failure. And not only that, Olivia could actually feel that currently, to be able to use the teleportation skill again, she needed to wait for the 2 minutes cooldown first.
"This has never happened before." Olivia stated in a low voice. This was actually the first ti that she was prevented from using a skill. As long as it was activated, unless it was actually destroyed, it had never been blocked from even activating.
"I guess the reason why that happened is due to how special this place is. Those cravings on the walls are definitely not here just for decorations. They might actually be related to the reason why you could not activate the teleportation skill. After all, they are capable of blocking all of our attacks without suffering any damage." Henry stated for a mont.
At the sa ti, he was observing the small circle. During the past few seconds, it had already expanded to almost two tis the size of a tennis ball. And from the looks of it, the speed at which the small circle was increasing in size was actually shooting up.
As for the dark mist that was coming out of the small circle, it had already began dimming away the light that was in that place.
It was also at this mont that Henry finally realized sothing. Even without him noticing it, although he had already stopped conjuring a fireball that was being used to light up this place, but the light that was here did not actually go out.
Instead, the light still maintained its presence, but Henry and the group could not actually see the source of the light. And for that reason, they could not even see their own shadows while in this place!
After waiting for 2 minutes, the teleportation skill was finally out of the cooldown. This ti, Olivia targeted sowhere else.
"Although it is going to be dangerous, I want to try it out. I’m not ready to be trapped here. If it is true that I’m going to die, then I’ll die trying to get out of here, rather than just die while standing here, doing nothing." Olivia stated as she approached the area where the cracks were forming in space.
