All the Henry was interested, he was still cautious. At this mont, he could already noticed that Livingstone was definitely planning sothing. But, it was not as if he was afraid of it, considering that currently, he had not even t a single human that was not from his territory that had managed to reach the silver rank.
For that reason, all that he had to pay attention to was the monsters and the mbers of the other races. And other than that, there was also a fact that in this apocalypse, if everybody began hiding, then, there was no way that they were going to improve.
"Okay. But you will have to make everything fast." Henry responded. It was true that he was interested in whatever Livingstone was talking about, but that did not an that he was going to continue staying here for a very long ti.
Olivia, Diana, and Adam did not say anything. They two were also interested in this matter. Had it been that whatever it was that Livingstone was ntioning was actually not present in this city, then, they would have not cared.
But since it was here, then, spending an hour or two on the matter before they progressed with their journey was not much of a problem.
Livingstone was excited after he saw that Henry and his group had agreed. This was sothing that he was looking forward to.
"This way please." Livingstone said with a smile on his face as he waited for Henry and his group to alight from the Jeep.
Henry got out of the Jeep without hesitation. And followed behind him, Olivia, Diana, and Adam also alighted.
It was in the next mont that Livingstone and his son got surprised. And, Livingstone almost attacked instinctively, and only prevented himself from attacking after rembering that the wolf and the big ant that were coming from the Jeep belonged to Henry.
Looking at the two creatures, he could fill the ferocious aura that was surrounding them. And, at this point, he could tell that these two creatures were definitely strong.
Of course, he tried to look at the information of the two, but, just like how it had happened for Henry and his group, he did not see anything other than question marks.
It was quite difficult for him to be able to feel the danger that ca from Henry and his group considering that they were able to control their aura. But, it was different for Storm and Lenta.
The two of them were monsters, and for that reason, it was quite difficult for them to be able to restrain their ferocious aura. So, as long as the person was strong enough, then they would be able to detect the danger that was coming from the two creatures.
Managing to get a hold of himself, Livingstone acted calm. Then, he led the group towards the base. But as he left, he made sure to keep note of the fact that Henry was the one that was in possession of the key of the Jeep.
In about 20 minutes, they had finally arrived in the office that was possessed by Livingston. After entering, Livingstone welcod them to the lobby area of his office. There, they were served with so drinks which Henry and his group did not refuse.
"All right. Straight to the point. What opportunity was it that you were talking about? Rember, we don’t have much ti, so, you better avoid speaking much nonsense." Henry stated indifferently.
Livingston’s lips twitched after hearing what Henry had said. He really did not like this kind of attitude that Henry and his group possessed. It was obvious that they were looking down on him.
Additionally, from the way that Henry was speaking, it was not as if he was trying to ask for assistance from them, but rather, he was commanding him to give him the information.
’Just you wait. After I gain that Jeep, you will definitely pay for this impudence that you possess.’ Livingstone thought to himself coldly. Still, he maintained that forced smile as a responded.
"About a week ago, we received information that there was the appearance of a ruined building. But, the danger in that area was quite high.
In order to be able to access that building, we had to sacrifice many people. But, inside there, there lay an opportunity. It was inside there that I managed to gain an advantage, sothing that made to be able to reach the level that I am in currently." Livingstone stated honestly.
It was not that he did not want to keep this information from Henry, but, he thought that there was no need for him to do that. At the end of the day, it was not as if Henry and his group were going to get anything from there.
Additionally, all that he wanted was to make sure that Henry and his group left this area, giving him a chance of taking away the Jeep. And if that happened, then, he could deal with them later on.
"So, why don’t you tell the reason why you didn’t go inside there after you got stronger? I’m pretty sure that if there’s a good opportunity there that is capable of making you advance into the bronze rank, to the current level that you are in, you would definitely not let it go." Olivia questioned a little sarcastically.
She was not the only one who had observed Livingstone. From the way that they could see him, he was definitely a domineering person, a greedy person, soone that was always looking for power.
That implied that if there was a chance that he could get stronger, then, he was not going to let that chance go. But now, this guy was actually actively telling them the information, implying that there had to be sothing that he was aiming for.
And of course, they could guess what he was aiming for considering the look that he was having when he was looking at the jeep.
Livingstone sweated for a little while after Olivia gazed at him. Still, he was a smart person, so, he imdiately thought of a reason.
"As I had stated before, the danger inside there is quite big. And, in order to be able to get into that place, we had to sacrifice many people, and all of them were strong, mbers of the elite team of the entire survivor’s camp here.
I’m definitely not willing to sacrifice more subordinates for sothing like that. It might be true that I would be able to get stronger, but, currently, we don’t need the strength of a single person, but rather, we need the strength of many people, we need strength in terms of numbers too."
"Heh, as if we are going to believe that. From the way that I can see things, I do believe that you don’t really care about the people that you are leading here. If you are given a chance of sacrificing them, then, as long as there is sothing that you are going to get, then, you are going to go for that." Adam sneered as he responded.
Diana was also disgusted at Livingston. After all, along the way, they could see the fear that was on the faces of the people as they looked at Livingston. So, it was clear that this guy was a tyrant, terrorizing the people here.
But, that was definitely none of their concern. As long as Livingstone did not do anything stupid, then, they would let him be. Currently, they had to go back to their own hos, and they were not willing to spend an entire month here in order to stabilize the city.
Livingstone did not respond this ti. He could see that this group had actually seen through him. But still, there was no way that he was going to admit that what they had said was actually true.
So, after a mont of silence, he spoke once again. "You’ll have to understand that although it is true that I am a tyrant, that does not imply that I don’t care about my own strength. It is true that I can get stronger, but it is not as if I will be capable of doing everything alone."
"It’s not as if you are alone, coz I can see that there’s soone who is keeping a watch on us." Diana stated nonchalantly as she pointed towards the door.
The mont that Diana said that, Livingstone felt his heart skipping a beat. He had not expected that Diana was going to notice that his son was actually at the door, waiting to make a more in case Henry and his group decided to go aggressive.
"This is just a security asure. We have just t, so, I have to be cautious. But don’t worry, we are definitely not going to do anything because you haven’t done anything to provoke us." Livingstone stated as he raised his hands in the air, a sign of surrender.
"How ridiculous. You think that we are going to save you from the zombies just to kill you? If it is killing then, believe or not, you would have definitely died by now." Adam was irritated by the way that Livingstone was speaking. So, he released his aura that was at the silver rank just for a mont.
Just that small mont that he released that aura made Livingstone feel as if he was going to die in the next mont. Even without him noticing it, he had begun sweating profusely.
"Okay, stop that. I already said that I don’t want much nonsense. So, you better go straight to the point and give all the information about that opportunity that you were talking about." Henry waved his hand to prevent Olivia and the rest of the group from speaking any further as he questioned as he looked at Livingston. He had already began getting impatient.
