The Soul System in the Apocalypse Chapter 182: Mind Control

Since Chris had already been inside the water for a long ti now, he had already gotten adapted to seeing inside the water. Although his vision was not clear due to how dirty the water was, but still, he was capable of seeing way better as compared to Henry and his group.

And at this mont, as he focused on the direction where he felt his fingernails being grabbed, he noticed that there was a figure that was holding it. It was none other than Henry.

Chris’s first reaction was that, to elongate the fingernails more so that they could stab into Henry’s body. But, that plan went out of the window the next mont.

Henry had initially planned to find a way that he was going to attack Chris without getting out of the barrier. Although it was true that he currently had reached the 6th level of bronze rank, he knew that he could not breath inside water.

At the sa ti, he could not go ahead and just jump into the water, to fight against Chris even though he knew that he was going to be able to defeat Chris even if he was at a disadvantage. It was just that, he was unwilling. After all, why would he go out, soak himself inside the dirty water, just to defeat Chris?

Additionally, as long as he entered the water, it would be no different from entering Chris’s domain. He had already seen the skill that Chris possessed, wave control. That implied that for the wave that was currently outside the territory to arrive here, it had been manipulated by Chris.

Just as he was contemplating on what to do, he suddenly saw that Chris was attacking the second ti. And, the mont that he saw that, a plan erged in his mind.

He did not know much about Chris’s abilities. But still, he knew that this guy possessed the false regeneration. Since he did not know that Chris had already consud a lot of energy in order to be able to recover to his peak condition Henry thought that perhaps even if, Chris was counter attacked by the barrier, he was going to heal again.

So, just when the fingernails were about to hit the protective barrier of the territory, Henry made a swift decision, allowing the fingernails to pass through the barrier. Of course, only the fingernails went through, but the water did not manage to penetrate the barrier.

That was the advantage that the territory protective barrier possessed. As the Lord of the territory, he was able to control on who was allowed to enter or exit the territory. That was unless soone destroyed the barrier.

The mont that the long fingernails managed to enter the territory, Henry leaped forward, before grabbing them.

When Chris tried to elongate the fingernails a little farther, Henry had already realized that. But still, he was not going to give him a chance. So, using all his strength, he pulled!

Chris who had not been expecting sothing like this did not have a chance of reacting before he was suddenly pulled inside.

Bam!

When Chris was pulled inside the territory, the long finger nails that had been stretched forward began retracting. And the mont that he entered the territory, using his explosive strength, Henry smashed Chris onto the ground.

The ground broke, forming a crater. Chris had yet to react to this when suddenly, a foot ca crashing onto his head.

Bang!

The head sunk into the ground, while at the sa ti, blood suddenly begun coming out of his nose and eyes. Currently, Chris’s entire body was made out of muscles and tendons, with no skin to be seen.

But even so, although the muscles were red, there was no blood as Chris walked around. But now, after being slamd into the ground, before being stomped on, finally, Chris began bleeding. But, that was just for a few seconds before the bleeding stopped.

It was also during this ti that Chris finally registered what had happened. With both fury and excitent, he used all his strength to try and push away Henry. But, he was suddenly surprised when he realized that he was not actually capable of pushing Henry away.

This was sothing that was completely out of his expectations. With the barrier between them, he was not able to easily tell the difference between the two of them when it ca to strength. But, right now, things were different.

He could feel that there was imnse pressure that was pressing upon him. At the sa ti, he felt hopeless. No matter how much he tried to struggle, he found that he could not resist.

"Last ti, I was not given a chance of dealing with you. But, since you decided to co over yourself, you have given a chance to vent out all the frustrations that I had gotten during the 10 years that you locked inside that facility." Henry stated calmly.

Of course, although there was calmness on his face, his heart was obviously raging. Who was it that willed to waste 10 years of his youth toiling for soone else? And all of that was sothing that they did not do on their own accord!

When Chris realized that he could not use brute strength in order to deal with Henry, he decided to use another skill that he possessed.

But, just as he was planning to activate the skill, Henry spoke. And the mont that he ntioned about the facility, everything changed. The rage that was burning within Chris’s eyes increased.

With a hoarse voice, Chris stated as his voice trembled, "Do you know just how much you caused to lose? I dedicated my life to the research, sothing that I have been doing for my entire life. I put in a lot of effort, forgot about enjoying myself, wasted the ti that I was in my pri, until I beca an old man.

Finally, after a long ti, I managed to get the results that I wanted. But, the results that I had gotten had not reached perfection. I wanted to get more resources so that I could increase the quality of my work. But then you ca, destroyed everything that I had created. Do you know just how much pain..."

Bang!

"Do you think that you are the only person who wasted his life? You wanted that, but do you think that we wanted to work for you? That was a decade, a ti that we were supposed to be enjoying ourselves.

Our families are rich, and we ended up doing nial work. Do you know how frustrating it is when you feel that your life is in danger, your family doesn’t even know if you are alive or dead living your entire life in fear?"

Chris was about to continue talking about how much losses this group had caused when suddenly, Adam ca over and stomped on his leg ferociously.

Adam was also furious. This guy had the cheek to co over and complain to them about the losses that they had caused him, while he on the other hand had already wasted several years of their lives?!

The fury within Chris increased again. He was just about to speak when suddenly, he was stomped on by Adam once again. Before he could even think about speaking, Adam had gone ahead and stepped on his other foot.

Although Chris really wanted to ignore the pain that he was undergoing, but, he could not. After all, Adam was not just anybody, but, he was a level four Bronze rank berserker.

Other than that, his own physical qualities were also at the sa level. So, when he was stepping on Chris using his full strength, of course, one of Chris’s legs had already been broken.

"Damn yo..!"

Bang!

"I’ll kill..."

Bam!

"You da..."

Dong!

"You piece of..."

Boom!

No matter how many tis Chris tried to cursed at Adam, Adam always interrupted him with a kick or a stomp. And in no ti, Chris who was already almost dominated by his anger was forced to begin thinking logically.

In the next mont, after realizing that he was not capable of resisting Henry who was pressing him down onto the ground, as well as not being given the chance of speaking, he decided that he was going to fight it out.

So, he activated his skill. And the target of the skill was definitely Adam. After all, this young man had already gotten into his nerves, by stomping and kicking him continuously as if he was just a punching bag.

Adam was just about to attack again when suddenly, he felt that there was sothing that was penetrating his mind. At the sa ti, several thoughts appeared into his mind, trying to ss with his thought process.

"Just kill...you have to kill... you must kill...you are a killer...!" Several whispers appeared inside Adam’s mind. They were kind of enchanting, while at the sa ti, they were hypnotizing.

It turned out that Chris had utilized his mind control skill. Although the skill was kind of difficult to utilize because of the current level that Adam was in, but still, even if he was not going to be capable of controlling him fully, Chris did not care.

Henry had also realized that there was sothing wrong. So, without hesitation, he kicked Chris, imdiately making him deactivate the skill due to the pain. But still, nothing changed. Adam was still in the sa position, as if he was dazed.

This change made Henry feel a little anxious. Adam was his brother, and he was not willing to have him suffer. Since Chris was the cause of all of this, Henry decided to take care of him imdiately.

But even before he could do that, Adam suddenly launched forward. His expression was savage, as a huge amount of killing intent leaked out of his body.
