"We’ll leave it for now and discuss it later."
Holly Sawyer shook her head, her tone exceptionally gentle.
She wasn’t sure how long Leo Grant’s feelings for her would last, whether it was just a novelty.
She didn’t want to gamble, afraid of getting hurt.
Though she hadn’t experienced romance firsthand, she’d seen it enough tis; she was a coward when it ca to such matters.
"Alright."
Diana Curtis didn’t say anything.
She held a different view on relationships compared to Holly, so had little to say on Holly’s situation.
Perspectives vary from person to person.
"Boss, when are you planning to return to Arkenfall?"
Diana caught up with Holly, asking her.
This wasn’t just her concern; everyone at The Pantheon knew.
"If nothing unexpected happens, it’ll be in December, together with Leo Grant."
Holly spoke calmly, her expression serene.
Helping Leo Grant was her priority; everything else would be addressed later.
"If, Boss, I an if, if you end up with Leo Grant, then..."
Diana stared at Holly, swallowing, and slowly asked.
She wanted to know what Holly would do.
How would Holly explain The Pantheon’s existence?
The Pantheon was mysterious and powerful, yet seen as inappropriate by many.
Because The Pantheon had blood on its hands and wielded considerable power, neither purely good nor evil.
Not a gathering of good people, but not entirely bad either.
"If he truly likes , would he care about all this?"
Holly raised an eyebrow, speaking slowly.
To like soone is to accept their strengths and flaws, their past, profession, everything, otherwise, it’s not real love.
It’s just liking their superficial charm or the version they want to be seen.
"True."
Diana nodded, understanding.
When you like soone, it’s not just their unique aura, but all of them.
Just like how she liked Jasper Hayes, even though she knew his character, knew he didn’t like her, knew he used her, knew he saw her as soone to call upon at will, knew...
She knew it all, yet still went headlong into liking him.
So, if Leo Grant truly likes Holly, would he care about Holly’s identity?
The answer is obviously no.
He’d just be worried about her.
"Don’t think about him anymore, you deserve the best. I hope that if he ever returns, you’ll continue moving forward determinedly."
Holly turned to Diana, having known her for a long ti, she understood Diana well.
Holly never believed life had to be filled with grand romance or mandatory relationships.
She was very laid-back, believing in going with the flow.
Knowing there’s no outco, she’d leave unhesitatingly despite any pain. She hoped Diana could do the sa because looking back would hurt more.
"Yeah, I understand, this place can’t afford any more turmoil."
Diana pointed to her heart, slowly shaking her head.
If Jasper Hayes asked for help, she might relent and agree, but getting involved again was impossible.
"It’s quite lancholic."
Holly reached out to hug Diana’s shoulder, gently patting her and said.
Talking about such topics can indeed be quite lancholic sotis.
"Boss, I’m really curious. Since I’ve known you, you’ve never lacked admirers. Do none of them interest you?"
Diana asked Holly curiously, watching her.
So aren’t without admirers or affection, but like Holly, she simply wasn’t interested in dating.
"I’m not afraid of suddenly getting caught in the rain; I’m afraid of soone offering a shelter, only to later shove back into the rain."
Holly turned her head, a faint smile curving her lips.
Reflecting on her mother, Miles Miller, Wendy Wright, and others she knew, she felt being alone wasn’t bad.
It’s not about not wanting to date; it’s about waiting for the right person, the right timing.
She too was sensitive, unafraid of getting wet unexpectedly, but afraid of soone offering her shelter, then pushing her back into the storm.
That feeling is truly unpleasant.
"I don’t think Leo Grant will."
Diana pursed her lips, confidently speaking.
She felt Leo Grant was serious; her sixth sense told her so.
Growing up in Bexley, she’d seen Leo Grant many tis, and every ti he wore a stoic face.
When Leo was with Rosalie Jennings, she’d occasionally see them together, noticing little difference in how he treated Rosalie compared to others, except for spending money on her.
Back then, she wondered how Rosalie stood the cold deanor during their relationship.
She thought Leo Grant was born with a stoic face, incapable of smiling.
Only upon eting Holly did he smile, speaking gently to her, giving Holly all his tenderness.
She didn’t expect to see the word ’pampering’ expressed through Leo’s face; the person he pampered was Holly.
"Perhaps ti will tell. Diana, to be honest, I’m a bit moved now."
"Before, my heart rarely stirred, but recently, it beats faster when I see Leo Grant."
"I really enjoy spending ti with Leo, care about him, and just thinking about him changes my mood."
Holly gently closed her eyes, speaking slowly.
Those felt like the sensations of being moved.
July to October, this span is actually short. Could it be that within such a short ti, she developed feelings for Leo?
"If you like him, be together; love should be a beautiful thing, and Leo Grant’s eyes are all about you."
Diana lightly patted Holly’s shoulder, speaking earnestly.
When you like soone, your words might deceive, but your eyes can’t hide it; they’ll involuntarily follow the one they care about, gazing with tenderness.
Leo’s gaze at Holly was incredibly gentle; Diana felt Leo was entirely focused on Holly.
"Let’s take it slow; there’s no rush."
Holly gently shook her head, expressing there wasn’t any urgency.
She wasn’t planning much now, just wanted to live well, not rushing into relationships, taking things slowly.
Diana glanced at Holly and fell silent. On their way to report in, neither spoke.
Each had their own thoughts.
