August passed, September ca, and so did autumn. Early autumn is always gentle, keeping sumr during the day and bringing the autumn breeze after sunset.

Holly stretched lazily. She stood by the window looking at the trees in the backyard. Autumn has arrived; she could already feel its presence.

She quite liked autumn; she was born in this season. Her birthday was just around the corner, her twenty-first birthday.

The phone screen lit up, a ssage from an unfamiliar number without a note:

[I’ll celebrate your birthday with you, wait for .]

Just this brief ssage, nothing more.

Holly looked at the ssage and slightly curled her lips. She wasn’t exactly happy, but also not unhappy. Her feelings were quite complicated actually.

[No need, I’m not in Arkenfall.]

After replying, Holly deleted all the ssages on her phone.

No need, really.

Celebrating her birthday or not, it was all the sa to her. It didn’t make much difference, the sa people every year.

"For you, the first cup of milk tea in autumn."

As Holly ca down to the dining room, Leo Grant handed her a cup of hot milk tea with a softly curved smile, his expression incredibly gentle.

The first cup of milk tea in autumn, but it’s not about the milk tea; it’s about caring for you and rembering you.

When Leo saw this online, he didn’t hesitate to buy Holly a cup of milk tea and personally hand it to her.

"Thank you, big brother."

Holly was montarily stunned; she blinked, looking incredulously at the milk tea in her hand, then at Leo, genuinely surprised.

The milk tea was just the right temperature, warm in her hands, warming her heart as well.

She didn’t expect Leo to get this milk tea joke.

"Saw it going around online, so I thought I’d get Holly a cup of milk tea."

Leo gently ruffled Holly’s hair, smiling softly.

Other people have it, so his girl should certainly not miss out on the first cup of milk tea in autumn.

"Mm, really sweet."

Holly took a sip of the milk tea, her face showing a satisfied smile, delight in her eyes.

It really was sweet, her favorite white peach oolong flavor. She wondered where Leo got the milk tea.

"As long as you like it."

Seeing Holly’s satisfied expression, Leo’s mood lightened too. As long as the girl was happy.

"Big brother, wait a mont."

Holly thought of sothing, her eyes suddenly lit up. She set down the milk tea and ran into the kitchen.

Leo was a bit puzzled.

After a lot of noise in the kitchen, ten minutes later Holly ca out holding a glass filled with a white liquid.

"Here, for you, big brother."

Holly handed the glass to Leo, a smile hidden in her eyes.

"Plain milk?"

Leo took it, slightly confused. The glass in his hand was still warm.

When Holly went into the kitchen, she closed the door, forbidding him from entering. He had no idea what Holly was doing in there.

But there was milk in the kitchen.

"Nope, the first cup of milk tea in autumn."

Holly blinked, looking mischievous.

"Milk tea?"

Leo questioned, looking at the girl, then took a sip.

It did taste like milk tea, with a very rich milky flavor, quite enjoyable.

"How did you make it?"

Leo asked, knowing there wasn’t any milk tea in the kitchen.

"With milk, tea leaves, sugar, and mineral water, you can make it."

Holly counted on her fingers.

It was actually quite simple; she had learned long ago, not expecting it to co in handy today.

"Holly understands these things."

Leo smiled, feeling quite gratified. The girl made him milk tea with her own hands; it was really sweet.

Sweeter than any milk tea he’d had; sweet right to the heart.

Holly nodded, "Mm-hmm."

This was the simplest thod; she often made it for herself before. The process was simple, not complicated, and didn’t take long.

"Holly’s milk tea is sweeter than the ones bought outside."

Leo took another sip; the milk tea was at just the right temperature, warming him as it went down, warm in his stomach and heart.

Really very sweet.

"Really?"

Holly blinked, tilting her head to consider the truth of Leo’s words.

"Really."

Leo reached out, gently patting Holly’s head.

It might be sweet like the girl, sweet to the bone.

"Then I’ll make more for big brother next ti."

Holly lightly bit her lip, thought for a mont, and said with generosity.

"Other flavors too, I can make them in other ways."

She counted on her fingers, looking serious.

There wasn’t just one way to make milk tea, but she used the simplest one just now, since it was improvised and other ingredients weren’t readily available.

There was milk, tea leaves, sugar, and mineral water, all found in the kitchen.

Leo smiled, "Okay."

If possible, he’d love to drink milk tea that sweet forever.

It’s not about the milk tea; it’s about the person who makes it.

"Has Holly rembered anything?"

Leo casually asked, his voice gentle.

The girl to him was just a girl who lost her mory, even though he knew clearly that Holly hadn’t truly lost it.

Holly held her head and shook it, "No."

"Thinking about it gives a headache."

She knocked her head lightly, showing so pain.

"Alright, let’s not think about it then."

Leo shook his head, speaking calmly.

Since the girl didn’t want to say anything, then nothing needed to be said.

Holly nodded, "Mm-hmm."

"I’m off to work. If you feel like eating sothing, just let know."

Leo glanced at the ti, lightly ruffling Holly’s hair, his voice gentle.

"Mm-hmm."

Holly nodded like a pecking chick.

Leo left for work. Holly sat at the dining table, eating breakfast when her phone suddenly rang loudly.

Holly glanced at it but didn’t answer, continuing with her breakfast.

It rang for a while, stopped, and then started ringing again with a persistent insistence urging her to pick up.

Holly remained calm, serenely eating breakfast, treating the phone’s ringing as if it was air, completely ignoring it.

A few minutes later, the phone finally silenced, followed by a ssage alert. Holly picked it up to check.

[I’m going to Bexley to find you.]

The ssage was just one short sentence.

[Not eting.]

Holly replied with two words, her expression a bit cold.

No need ans no need, not eting ans not eting. She could be truly ruthless.
