Leo Grant’s voice was surprisingly doting and gentle.
"Good morning."
Holly Sawyer yawned, stretched a little, and felt a soreness all over. She reached out to rub her waist, giving Leo a playful glare.
"Uncomfortable?"
Noticing the complaint in Holly’s eyes, Leo gently rubbed the top of her head, asking softly.
"What do you think?"
Holly shot a glare at Leo.
A man who had never indulged in such physical activity, his stamina was really sothing else. She had been tornted all night and was indeed quite exasperated.
Leo seed perfectly fine, but she really felt uncomfortable all over, as if her body was no longer her own.
"Sorry, I couldn’t hold back."
Leo lowered his eyes, seriously apologizing.
"I’m hungry."
Holly looked at Leo with a pout and said with a hint of grievance.
She really did feel a bit hungry.
"Alright, I’ll go make you breakfast."
Leo imdiately got out of bed to make breakfast for Holly; he couldn’t let his girl go hungry.
Once Leo left, Holly quickly grabbed her phone. The screen was still on the chat with Cecilia Bennett.
Because she stopped replying abruptly, Cecilia had bombarded her with over 99 ssages, even called several tis.
The corner of Holly’s mouth twitched involuntarily. She didn’t bother scrolling through all of Cecilia’s ssages, having a rough idea of what Cecilia had sent.
Last night, they were talking about her and Leo’s sudden decision to register their marriage. She hadn’t inford Cecilia about it.
The news blew up on social dia, and naturally, Cecilia couldn’t help but question her.
Just as Holly replied to Cecilia’s ssage, Cecilia called.
"Holly Sawyer, you can really play hard to get, can’t you?"
"You didn’t explain things to properly, you ignored my ssages, and now that you’re married, is our friendship on the rocks?"
"Married and acting all high and mighty? How dare you hide that you got the certificate without telling ?"
"Holly, I’m telling you, if you don’t explain things clearly today, our many years of friendship might just end with a snap."
"..."
As soon as Holly answered, Cecilia’s chatter pierced through, her tone sowhat stern.
Her best friend suddenly got married without a word, and she found out through social dia. Anyone would be thrown off by that.
Cecilia knew Leo treated Holly well, and it was only a matter of ti before they got their marriage certificate, but didn’t expect it so soon.
And so unexpectedly.
"I’ll explain later, it’s hard to clarify over the phone."
Holly sighed and said slowly.
In retrospect, she should have told Cecilia earlier. Now, things were a bit troubleso.
"Fine, I’ll be waiting."
Cecilia’s anger was palpable.
"By the way, did you two, you know, do it?"
Suddenly, Cecilia changed topics and asked.
"Yeah."
Last night’s events were too embarrassing for Holly to bring up; it made her feel shy, but she couldn’t deny it happened.
"Whoa, whoa, so last night..."
"Okay, okay, I won’t tease you. Just get out here later, alright?"
Cecilia, in a mont of realization, quickly hung up the phone.
Even with just her toes, Cecilia could guess what had caused Holly’s sudden disappearance and lack of response to ssages. So that’s what happened.
Heh heh heh.
Holly felt a bit bewildered, staring blankly at the already hung-up phone.
She seed to have said nothing, yet Cecilia seed to understand everything, strange as it was.
"Co down for breakfast."
After a while, Leo ca upstairs to urge Holly to have breakfast.
"Alright."
After freshening up, Holly went downstairs.
"Uncomfortable?"
Leo noticed Holly’s face was a bit off, he reached out to feel her forehead, asking with concern.
Holly retorted, "What do you think?"
Leo realized, "My bad, I’ll be gentler next ti."
Leo sincerely apologized, his tone earnest.
It was his first ti, inexperienced, probably did hurt his dear girl.
Holly looked at Leo coolly, not responding.
"Cecilia called out, I need to go out later."
After breakfast, Holly sprawled on the couch watching TV, she spoke slowly.
"Alright, let’s have dinner together tonight, I’ve made reservations, you can both co over."
Leo lightly nodded and said.
Cecilia wouldn’t let Holly off the hook, and Noah Raines and Nathaniel Shaw wouldn’t spare Leo either. Knowing Leo got the marriage certificate, they were probably ready to confront him.
Doing sothing that big without a word of it, if they didn’t check social dia regularly, they might not have known.
"Alright, got it."
Holly nodded.
Noon.
Holly went out to et Cecilia at a café with a nice atmosphere and soothing music.
"Here cos the married woman, huh."
Cecilia had arrived early and joked as she saw Holly co in, staring intently.
Holly: "..."
Suddenly not in the mood to chat, I want to leave now.
"Your cappuccino."
Cecilia gestured with her chin towards Holly.
Holly: "Thanks."
"Getting the marriage certificate was a sudden decision, I didn’t expect it to be so quick."
Holly said slowly, it indeed was quite sudden.
There wasn’t a plan to marry so soon.
After eting Leo, she had considered marriage, but didn’t expect it would happen so quickly, there was still so conflict.
"And the wedding?"
Cecilia looked at Holly, asking.
More than anything else, she cared about Holly’s wedding.
A wedding is essential when a woman gets married.
Every girl dreams of wearing a wedding dress, and Holly was no exception.
"In April this year, it’s coming up soon. We’ll take the wedding photos in March."
Holly curved her lips slightly, saying slowly, her eyes filled with anticipation.
"You know my aversion to the cold, I don’t want to move when it’s cold."
Noticing the confusion in Cecilia’s eyes, Holly slightly curved her lips, speaking slowly.
Yes, she disliked the cold, so Leo decided on a ti when spring flowers are in bloom, when the weather is neither cold nor hot, just right.
"He’s very considerate of you."
Cecilia nodded satisfactorily.
Leo truly was wonderful.
"Before eting him, I never thought about marriage. After eting him, I even started thinking about having kids with him."
Looking at the liquid in the cup, Holly spoke slowly, her voice slightly gentle.
