Her temper is just like this—if she wants to know sothing, she’ll find out one way or another. There’s no way Cecilia Bennett’s evasiveness is going to let this slide.
Cecilia Bennett sighed, squeezed the palm of her hand, and looked up at Holly Sawyer.
Alright, she knows that Holly Sawyer would never let it go. She’d dig to the bottom of things. She’d end up telling Holly even if she didn’t want to.
If Holly Sawyer said she’d beat her down, then it was sure to happen. What can she do? She can’t beat Holly Sawyer.
"Just our high school classmate, you know how we used to fight all the ti. We haven’t seen each other in ages, so when we t, we couldn’t help but get into a fight."
Cecilia Bennett sowhat guiltily touched her nose.
She started the fight, but didn’t get hurt. The ones who got hurt were mostly on the other side.
A whole group against her alone, and they still couldn’t beat her—they were as useless as ever.
Cecilia Bennett and Holly Sawyer graduated high school at a young age, sixteen actually. They skipped grades because their grades were good, and the teachers just went along with it.
"Na."
Holly Sawyer searched through her mory, one face after another flashed in front of her, her gaze turned a bit cold.
Her mory is excellent; she still rembers the people she fought with back then. The only problem is there were too many; she doesn’t know who Cecilia Bennett is referring to now.
"I can’t rember. Just that pale-skinned guy who always had a flamboyant woman by his side."
Cecilia Bennett lightly bit her lip and shook her head, then gestured vaguely to describe his appearance.
Her mory isn’t that good. She only rembers his face, knows he was a forr classmate, rembers fighting him, but doesn’t rember his na.
"Hmm?"
Holly Sawyer searched again in her mind, and seed to have an answer.
She pulled out her laptop and quickly tapped away at the keyboard. Soon, a photo appeared on the screen.
The man in the picture was pale, with a buzz cut, white shirt and black trousers, looking like a clean-cut boy.
"Is that him?"
Holly Sawyer asked.
Nathaniel Shaw and Noah Raines leaned in to look, their eyes filled with curiosity, wanting to see it.
Leo Grant remained unperturbed, but his gaze shifted to Holly Sawyer’s screen.
"Yes, yes, that’s him, that’s the pretty boy."
Cecilia Bennett nodded.
The man’s na was Vincent Hughes; he was pale and clean-looking, but he always had a garishly dressed, heavily made-up woman hanging around him.
In high school, they fought often, with Holly Sawyer and Cecilia Bennett naturally having the upper hand. Vincent Hughes frequently appeared in front of Holly Sawyer and Cecilia Bennett.
Sotis alone, sotis with that woman.
"Okay, let’s go find her."
Holly Sawyer grabbed Cecilia Bennett’s hand and walked towards the door.
"Hey, hey, hey, no!"
"Don’t go. They’re badly hurt, and I only got a minor scratch."
"I started it, but now it seems like I’m being bullied."
"I’m not that weak; they couldn’t beat ."
"..."
Cecilia Bennett complained while being dragged along by Leo Grant.
No need, really no need.
If she were the one being bullied, Holly going to confront them would be understandable, but that’s not the case.
She’s the instigator, going to stir up trouble is really inappropriate, ahhh.
Leo Grant and the three others silently followed Holly Sawyer out, worried that sothing might happen.
Cecilia Bennett kept grumbling but was still dragged along by Holly Sawyer.
No choice, Holly’s strength was too great—she couldn’t break free and had to follow.
"Look at yourself."
Holly suddenly stopped, took out a mirror from her pocket and handed it to Cecilia Bennett, speaking coolly.
"Oh s***, ahhhh, my face!!!"
After looking in the mirror, Cecilia Bennett suddenly scread, losing her cool.
Damn it, her face!!!
Cecilia Bennett usually cherished her face the most, taking great care of it. Although the scratches were small and not noticeable without careful examination, Cecilia Bennett’s temper flared instantly.
It’s only natural for a girl to care about her face.
"Not hurt?"
Holly Sawyer walked ahead, coolly threw out a sentence.
"Honey, I was wrong."
Cecilia Bennett quickly followed Holly Sawyer, pouting as she spoke.
Alright, she was indeed hurt.
——
At the kebab shop, Vincent Hughes and his group of guys and girls were gathered, eating kebabs with beer in front of them. But every face seed to sport a bruise.
There were only seven people, and just one woman among them.
"Damn, that chick was ruthless."
"Just as fierce in fights now as she was back then."
"Running into her is really unlucky."
"It’s baffling how she’s been doing—she vanished for so long."
"Just a couple of words, was it necessary to go that far?"
"..."
Everyone except Vincent Hughes started complaining.
Everyone had bruises sowhere on their bodies; Vincent Hughes and that woman had none.
The two didn’t get involved, just got the better of the verbal exchange.
"Boss, one must admit, Cecilia Bennett has grown prettier, wonder how Holly Sawyer’s doing now."
A plump guy comnted, reminded of their high school days, feeling embarrassed.
A group of grown n unable to beat two girls, with those two girls dominating the campus, was quite bewildering.
"Fathead, what others look like is none of your business. Don’t you think you got beaten enough?"
A tall, skinny guy said; Fathead was the one who got beaten the worst because he tried to take liberties.
"Long ti no see."
The group continued chatting until a cold female voice suddenly sounded in their ears—they looked up, stunned.
"Don’t recognize ?"
Holly Sawyer stepped closer, grabbed a bottle of beer from the ground, and slamd it on the table, sneering as she spoke.
Holly Sawyer???
The group was confused; they were just talking about her, and she suddenly appeared.
Speak of the devil.
Damn, she looks so sweet—the guys thought this the mont they saw Holly Sawyer.
Then they shook their heads, discarding the thought—how could Holly Sawyer be sweet? Of course not.
Vincent Hughes stared intently at Holly Sawyer from the mont she appeared, his eyes flickering with complexity.
So, what he saw last night must have been Holly Sawyer.
Cecilia Bennett followed behind Holly Sawyer, and the group imdiately understood.
No way?
They were the ones beaten, but now she ca to seek revenge—where’s the justice?
