"In so trivial matters, don’t always put first, okay?"
Holly Sawyer spoke softly, her tone mixed with a hint of helplessness.
"You’re the most important to , of course I would put you first in everything."
Leo Grant paused for a mont, then spoke matter-of-factly.
He always thought that there was nothing wrong with that, it’s perfectly normal, he just wanted to be good to Holly Sawyer.
"That’s just having a love-struck brain."
Holly gently bit her lip.
She certainly enjoyed Leo putting her first in everything, but she felt that being in a relationship shouldn’t be like this.
"So what should I do?"
Leo remained silent for a while, then slowly asked.
If the girl thought it shouldn’t be this way, then it shouldn’t be this way. He was willing to learn.
"If I want to watch a movie with you, see if you have any free ti today. If not, we can postpone it; if you have ti, watch it during your leisure."
"It’s not to say you can’t push other things aside; you can assess the importance of things. If it’s not important, it can be postponed; if it’s important, my matter can wait."
"That’s what I an, got it?"
Holly began to explain at length, speaking slowly.
She felt that being in a relationship shouldn’t an prioritizing your partner in everything.
"Okay, I understand."
"I’ll go check the schedule right now."
Leo nodded, indicating he understood now.
He quickly checked his schedule to see what he had planned for today.
"There’s nothing important today, I’ll accompany you to the movie then."
After reviewing his schedule, Leo spoke slowly, his eyes full of seriousness.
Holly looked at Leo with a bit of skepticism.
"I swear, I’m not lying."
Leo raised his right hand, speaking with great seriousness.
"Alright, I believe you."
Holly nodded, seeing Leo’s sincerity, she reluctantly chose to believe him.
Leo instantly felt relieved, lucky that Holly believed him.
Actually, he had a pretty important eting that he needed to attend, but he canceled it, telling Holly there was nothing significant.
He understood Holly’s point, but he still wanted to put Holly first in everything.
Holly was his exception, his darling, and he would do everything he could to ensure she was happy.
Between work and Holly, he would still choose Holly.
"So what movie are we going to watch?"
Leo asked, unsure of what the girl wanted to see.
"Let’s watch a horror movie, shall we?"
Holly scrolled through the movie tickets, speaking slowly.
She wanted to see sothing scary to boost the atmosphere; she thought it was fun and mainly because she wasn’t afraid.
Holly thought that if Leo was afraid, it would be perfect because then she could openly tease him.
Leo nodded, "Sure."
If the girl wanted to see a particular movie, he certainly had to accompany her.
"So, are you going to be scared, brother?"
Holly blinked, looking mischievously at Leo, hoping he would get frightened.
"Why would you ask that?"
Leo gently rubbed Holly’s head, asking softly.
He wanted to know why his girl asked that way.
"Because I want to see what you look like when you’re scared. I’ve never witnessed it."
Holly blinked lightly, speaking with laughter.
Hmm, it would probably be quite novel.
Suddenly, Holly got especially curious, smiling broadly at Leo, her eyes full of mischievous intent.
"Silly girl."
Leo ruffled Holly’s head, speaking fondly.
It’s simple if she wanted to see.
——
After getting ready, Holly went out. She had even put on lipstick, feeling a bit glamorous.
It had been a long ti since she wore lipstick; other girls hoard costics and lipsticks, buying them involuntarily whenever they see sothing they like, whether they use it or not.
But Holly was different; she had no interest in these things, hardly owning any costics or lipsticks, too lazy to buy them or use them.
She was pretty lazy; if she wore makeup, she’d have to remove it, which seed troubleso.
She disliked hassle, so she often went out with a bare face, even applying lipstick was a luxury.
"Why? Are you trying to enchant others outside, dressing so beautifully?"
Seeing Holly co out of the room, Leo stepped forward to embrace her, speaking with a light laugh.
From the ti he t Holly until now, she always went out with a bare face; she rarely wore lipstick, basically never, as far as Leo was concerned.
"No, it’s to boost your image, brother."
"Look, other people’s girlfriends are all gorgeous; surely brother’s girlfriend shouldn’t be outdone."
"So I need to put on so lipstick to add a bit of color."
Holly playfully blinked and spoke, smiling.
Hmm, she felt what she said made sense.
Actually, lipstick really can enhance one’s complexion; when soone doesn’t wear lipstick versus when they do, their complexion differs, as does their temperant.
"Smooth talker."
Leo tied a scarf around Holly, speaking slowly, his voice filled with fondness and gentleness.
The girl sure knew how to talk.
"But look at yourself all wrapped up like this; can people even see what you look like?"
Then Leo changed the topic, putting a hat on Holly, with a teasing tone.
He laughed lightly, his eyes shimring with hints of amusent.
After the girl put on her scarf and hat, only a pair of round eyes were visible; how could anyone tell what she looked like?
"Who says, when I eat, I’ll definitely have to expose my mouth."
Holly spoke righteously, tugging at her scarf, pouting as she looked at Leo, her eyes showing a bit of dissatisfaction.
"Okay, okay, I understand."
Leo fixed Holl’s scarf, looking at her with laughter, nodding continuously.
The girl must have a point, right?
You’d definitely need to remove the scarf to eat, or else how could you eat, right?
But when the girl solely focuses on eating, it’s just like a little greedy cat.
"Besides, there’s definitely heating in the cinema, then the scarf will definitely have to co off."
Holly pouted, looking at Leo defiantly.
"Mhm, Holly’s right, I actually didn’t think of that."
Leo pretended to widen his eyes at Holly, tapping his head in a manner of sudden realization.
With the cinema all dark and people engrossed in the plot and what happens in the movie, who has ti to pay attention to where the handso guys and beautiful girls are?
Holly: "..."
Wow, teasing her now.
