Dinner ti passed in the blink of an eye, and the restaurant quickly delivered the food.

Festivals should have that festive flavor, and at this point, most families were having dinner.

Cecilia Bennett and the others gradually beca familiar with each other through the afternoon interaction. Cecilia’s personality was easygoing, and she quickly ward up to people.

"Abundance year after year."

Cecilia Bennet gazed at the braised fish on the table and slowly said.

When she was abroad, she always felt the absence of a traditional festival atmosphere. During these festivals, she always spent them alone.

She missed ho, missed Holly Sawyer.

"Co, have so dumplings."

Holly Sawyer gave Cecilia a dumpling.

These things commonly seen in the country were rarely seen abroad, and Cecilia wasn’t great at cooking, sticking only to simple dishes like stir-fried noodles.

"This is the taste of the festival, long missed."

Cecilia ate the dumpling, remarked with a deep sense of happiness in her tone.

In the country, in Arkenfall, her happiness index was very high. Abroad, besides studying, she almost lost her sense of appreciation for good food.

She missed the food here, but unfortunately, couldn’t get it.

Holly Sawyer: "Eat more."

"What does Miss Bennett study?"

Noah Raines asked curiously.

He was quite curious about Cecilia Bennett because she was Holly Sawyer’s best friend, and since Holly was so formidable, Cecilia likely wouldn’t be ordinary either.

"Law."

Cecilia Bennett replied.

"However, I also minored in psychiatry."

She added.

Noah Raines stopped talking, confirming that Holly’s friends were not simple.

Leo Grant stayed silent most of the ti, whispering occasionally to Holly and ticulously attending to her food.

Bone out fish, peel shrimp shells, and de-bone at.

Everything was done effortlessly.

Cecilia and the others noticed, each having their thoughts.

Cecilia Bennett felt that Holly Sawyer was particularly lucky to have t Leo Grant. Sotis, thoughtfulness and money cannot be enjoyed simultaneously.

She had seen many won marry rich n, looking glamorous on the surface, but the marriage was devoid of anything other than money.

Leo Grant, wealthy and influential, was also exceptionally considerate to Holly.

That was enough.

Cecilia watched, happiness filling her heart.

No one would wish anything but happiness for their best friend.

"I really feel like I’m here to eat dog food."

Noah Raines tapped the edge of his bowl with his chopsticks, smirked, and remarked with a hint of jealousy in his eyes.

Yes, that’s right, it was jealousy.

He hadn’t yet managed to woo anyone, while Leo and Holly flaunted their affection routinely, driving him nearly to depression.

"No, we’re here for a reunion al."

Leo Grant chid in, his hands not stopping.

"Indeed, you shouldn’t befriend those with partners."

Nathaniel Shaw sighed, before, none of them had girlfriends, so it didn’t matter.

Now Leo has a girlfriend, it was truly annoying.

Having one is fine, but do they have to flaunt their affection frequently, constantly ntioning Holly Sawyer?

"But when we befriended him, he didn’t have a girlfriend."

Noah Raines followed Nathaniel Shaw’s words with a faint sigh.

Oh dear, back then, they were all just kids.

In a flash, from three single guys, only two remained.

"Single folks should focus on eating, just don’t watch."

Cecilia Bennett chuckled. She found Leo Grant’s two brothers quite amusing—they seed proper but weren’t really.

She heard about the trio long ago, even t them, but they were almost strangers back then.

The al ended amidst their chatting, and the dishwashing task ultimately fell on Leo Grant’s trio.

"I’ve never done this in my life."

Noah Raines complained while washing the dishes, a deep sense of grievance in his tone, like it was a real injustice.

Indeed, these three rich kids never needed to do house chores themselves, seldom stepping foot in the kitchen.

"Useless."

Nathaniel Shaw scoffed at Noah Raines.

Deciding not to inherit the family business, he had learned to cook and wash dishes early on. Though busy at work, he only made simple als, enough to fill up.

He loved his work as a forensic scientist, busy as it was, he found joy in it.

Doing what you love ought to make you happy.

"Better learn to cook before you get a girlfriend, it’ll be too late then."

Leo Grant ticulously washed the dishes, advising gently.

The idea was to treat her like a treasure, learning to take on house chores gradually.

"Right, once you finally win over Nancy Miller, I’m afraid you’ll regret not knowing how."

Nathaniel Shaw chid in.

Their brotherhood shared a common belief that girlfriends were to be cherished.

Even though they often mocked Leo for his spoiling, Nathaniel agreed with his approach, just disliked Leo showing off his girlfriend.

"Then I better wash well."

Noah Raines agreed, realizing the reasonableness, then devotedly focused on washing the dishes.

"I feel like soon it’ll just be left."

Nathaniel Shaw sighed, shaking his head lightly.

"What about her?" Noah Raines casually asked, "Didn’t you go find her?"

Since returning to Arkenfall for so ti now, he wondered if Nathaniel t up with her.

"She’s getting married, here’s the invitation."

Nathaniel Shaw took a red invitation out of his pocket, speaking in an even tone.

Five years ago, he was quite persistent, believing in his determined love for her. During those five years in Bexley, such emotions seed to fade, thinking it had to do with not seeing her for so long.

Returning to Arkenfall, he t her first chance he got, she beca more beautiful than ever, exuding elegance in her every gesture.

Her every smile was lovely, lively, yet the heart-pounding excitent was gone.

He just felt indifferent.

Perhaps ti could dilute many things, their failure to end up together was simply a lack of fate.

"No way, a week from now?"

Noah Raines exclaid upon seeing the invitation, eyes filled with disbelief.

Very sudden, with no prior hints.
