Happiness isn’t about living forever, feasting on delicacies, or wielding power over the world. Happiness is every small wish in life being fulfilled; when you want to eat, there’s food to eat, and when you crave love, there’s soone to love you.

Holly Sawyer woke up in the morning, a ray of sunlight streaming through the window. She stretched lazily.

The days when she could see Leo Grant every day made her feel truly happy.

In the past, she didn’t fully understand the word "happiness," but after eting Leo, she fully awakened to its aning.

Happiness, perhaps, is having soone to accompany you for three als a day, having the person you like by your side, plain and simple happiness.

"Still lying in bed, huh?"

Leo Grant pushed open the bedroom door, watching the girl lazily nestled in the blankets. He chuckled softly.

In sumr, the girl was quite diligent, not staying in bed, waking up early. But now that the weather was cold, she was reluctant to move.

"Mmm, it’s warm in the bed,"

Holly yawned and said matter-of-factly.

In winter, her greatest comfort was the warm blanket. She didn’t want to move at all while lying in it.

"It’s snowing outside."

Leo walked closer, pulled open the curtains, and marveled at the world of white outside.

Arkenfall gets snow, but not every year. This year, it snowed.

"Snowing?"

Holly’s eyes suddenly lit up, glimring with light, as she jumped out of bed.

She ran barefoot to the window, looking up at the snowy world outside.

It was truly snowing. A layer of white covered the ground, with plants and buildings adorned in white—it was beautiful.

"The floor is cold."

Leo picked Holly up, grasping her dainty, fair feet and gently reprimanding her.

The girl was so carefree and didn’t know how to take good care of herself.

The winter floor was cold; stepping on it without shoes made it easy to catch chill.

The cold started from the feet and spread, making the whole body not warm, prone to illness and colds.

"Then I’ll wear shoes."

Holly struggled a bit, pouting as she spoke.

Mmm, she hadn’t seen snow in so long, and was genuinely excited. Last year, there was no snow in Arkenfall, and she had waited the entire winter, to no avail.

She loved playing, especially on snowy days, building snown, having snowball fights, skiing through the white terrain, and despite the cold, enjoyed every minute of it.

"I’ll help you put them on."

Leo placed Holly back on the bed, crouched down, and patiently helped her put on shoes.

The girl’s feet were small, white, and tender.

"Brother, can we go build a snowman?"

Holly blinked gently, looking expectantly at Leo.

She really, really wanted to go out and play. Although it was cold outside, she wasn’t afraid of the cold at all. She just wanted to play.

"Okay, let change your shoes."

Leo removed the shoes he just helped Holly put on and switched them to a pair of boots.

Snow would lt, and regular shoes would easily get wet.

"Brother, do my feet stink?"

Holly looked down at Leo, her eyes twinkling with playful intent.

Mmm, her feet didn’t have a strong odor, but she wanted to tease Leo a bit.

Mm, Leo was the first to help her with her shoes, a gesture that moved her.

For a guy to willingly put on shoes and tie shoelaces for you is a small detail yet profoundly touching.

The books say if a guy is willing to bend down for you, marry him, for he is worth it.

"A girl’s feet are fragrant,"

Leo laughed. To him, all parts of Holly were perfect.

"Put on your scarf, hat, and big cotton coat properly to avoid getting cold."

Leo urged, tenderly helping Holly put on her coat, tie her scarf, and put her hat on with utmost gentleness.

"What about gloves?"

Leo looked Holly over, asking slowly.

The girl usually didn’t like wearing gloves, preferring to tuck her hands into her pockets or clutch a hot water bottle.

"Gloves? I don’t have any."

Holly blinked and said as if it were the most natural thing.

She didn’t like wearing gloves, so naturally, she hadn’t bought any. She much preferred the feeling of tucking her hands in her pockets.

"Wait here, I’ll go buy so. Don’t run around outside."

Leo gently tapped Holly’s forehead and spoke slowly before heading out.

The girl was so afraid of the cold that he wouldn’t dare let her go out without gloves.

Of course, he wouldn’t want to risk his girl catching cold.

Holly didn’t disobey by running outside; instead, she obediently waited for Leo to co back with gloves.

The feeling of being tenderly cared for was genuinely wonderful, and she really liked it.

If she could, she’d wish for these days to slow down, for them to remain in this sweet romance.

Being in love is beautiful, with no need to worry about daily necessities or other factors, nothing to be concerned about.

The happiness of simply being together was enough.

She didn’t want to quickly reach the stage of discussing marriage—not out of a fear of marriage or a lack of desire to marry, but for other reasons.

Once stepping into the halls of marriage, many things would change, and there would be more to consider.

"Here, put on the gloves, and we’ll go build a snowman,"

Leo soon returned with gloves, placing them in Holly’s palm, his voice gentle.

"Okay,"

Holly grinned, quickly putting on her gloves and pulling Leo out.

Because of the snow, quite a few people were already enjoying the snowy play, and even those accustod to snow couldn’t help but get excited and dash into the snow for fun.

The joy of playing in snow transcends whether one has seen it before; she simply loved snow and awaited it eagerly from the start of winter.

"Brother, don’t move—I can make a snowman that looks like you,"

Holly playfully ran across the snow, picking up a heap of snow and speaking earnestly.

She was quite gifted at this, making snown not perfectly alike but at least a good resemblance.

"Sure, I look forward to it,"

Leo smiled indulgently, standing still just as she requested.

Holly carefully gathered snow, shaping and sculpting it into a form.

Continuously working with her hands, her nose turned red from the cold, yet she delighted in the activity, the chill seemingly unnoticed.

"Are you tired?"

Leo stood beside Holly, lending a hand and softly asking, watching the girl with her rosy face.

"No,"

Holly shook her head. Her body felt a bit tired, but her spirit didn’t tire at all.
