The sa candy was clearly taken from the sa pocket, yet sotis it’s edible and sotis it’s not, which is quite baffling.
"Want so candy?"
Holly Sawyer raised an eyebrow, pretending not to understand what Noah Raines ant, and leisurely pulled out a lollipop from her pocket.
Noah Raines shook his head.
Holly Sawyer slowly peeled off the wrapper and popped the lollipop into her mouth.
"Its function depends on what I want to do,"
Holly Sawyer said softly, her voice playful and cute.
The lollipop in her hand could be a sweet treat or a deadly weapon, depending on her mood.
"Here, candied hawthorn,"
Leo Grant quickly returned with the candied hawthorn, tore off the packaging, and stuffed it into Holly Sawyer’s hand.
Noah Raines and Nathaniel Shaw: "..."
They really were flaunting their affection without a care.
They indicated they were already overwheld.
"Want a lollipop?"
Holly Sawyer pulled out two lollipops from her pocket and extended them to Noah and Nathaniel, blinking her eyes.
Noah: "..."
Nathaniel: "..."
The two exchanged a glance, faces full of refusal.
When it cos to candy from Holly Sawyer, caution is advised.
Who knows if it’s edible or not.
The boarding ti arrived quickly, and the four of them turned off their phones and boarded the plane.
——
Arkenfall.
The airport in Arkenfall was in chaos, with myriad people causing disturbances.
Leo Grant and Holly Sawyer’s people faced off against the Grant Family, and the exchange was bound to be intense.
Sean Grant stood in an empty area, silently watching the two groups already in conflict, unmoving.
Perhaps it was the watch that stirred his faint brotherly feelings; he no longer wanted to stand at odds with Leo Grant.
He halted so people from coming to the airport, and Leo’s side had many people too; presumably, they could be sorted out before reaching Arkenfall.
"Let’s go."
Sean Grant glanced quietly ahead and left without a word.
Wishing Leo Grant peace.
"Where’s Sean? How could Sean just give up halfway?"
Felix Grant, Leo’s second uncle from the Grant Family, furiously smashed his phone on the ground, his eyes fierce, face contorted.
It was supposed to be an inside-outside pincer move to trap Leo, but Sean surprisingly withdrew midway.
He hadn’t expected Leo’s people to be so nurous, and with Sean’s obstruction and withdrawal, he sensed an imminent danger.
"The second young master intercepted people on our way, and he’s already left."
The person reporting was cautious, not daring to look at the enraged Felix Grant.
What Sean did was truly excessive.
"Well, well done, Sean."
Felix Grant grabbed a cup from the table and smashed it to the ground, face furious.
The person in front didn’t dare speak or move.
"Why does Leo have so many people?"
Felix furrowed his brows; Leo’s numbers were unusually large.
"The subordinates don’t know,"
The subordinates expressed ignorance.
Leo’s people were all concentrated in Bexley; logically, there shouldn’t be many in Arkenfall.
When Leo’s first wave rushed out, Felix was already shocked, and a second, larger wave followed.
"Useless, get lost."
Felix’s fury was at its peak.
He picked up his phone to call Sean, got no answer the first ti, but he received a response the second.
"Leo has allies."
"I regret opposing him; I should’ve considered brotherly ties."
"The Grant Family is a place without flesh or blood; Leo is my only support, and I’ve realized my mistake."
Before Felix could inquire, Leo had already spoken, and upon finishing, he hung up ruthlessly without giving Felix a chance to respond.
Throughout, their relationship was rely cooperative.
As he said himself, the Grant Family is a place devoid of familial bonds, and he discarded that unique sentintality.
With Sean’s abrupt hang-up, Felix’s anger intensified.
Ha.
News from the airport inford him his people couldn’t hold on and had already fled.
Felix took a deep breath, put on a coat, planning to head to the airport to "welco" Leo personally.
Holly had slept soundly on the plane, and upon disembarking, she looked groggy and half-asleep.
Leo Grant carefully cradled the girl in his arms, his movent especially gentle, afraid of disturbing her.
"Leo, long ti no see."
Walking out of the airport, Felix Grant had been waiting for so ti, flanked only by his trusted aides.
Contrastingly, Leo’s people were many, remaining for Leo and Holly’s safety.
"Shh."
Leo placed a finger to his lips, making a "shh" gesture, looking down warmly at the girl in his arms, eyes full of adoration.
Felix: "..."
He looked at Leo in surprise, his gaze dropping from Leo’s face to the girl nestled in his arms.
A small girl was curled in Leo’s arms, and he looked at her with utmost gentleness.
So, Leo has a girlfriend?
Noah and Nathaniel followed behind Leo, their lips involuntarily twitching.
They really had nothing to say.
People on Leo’s side and Holly’s side were in shock.
Leo’s people said they had never seen him so gentle.
Holly’s people said they had never seen Holly like this...
"Leo, you’re not stupid; you expose your girlfriend in front of like this, aren’t you afraid I’ll target her?"
Felix chuckled lightly.
Leo wasn’t an idiot and knew his intentions, so he wasn’t playing up his nephew-uncle relationship.
"You can try."
Leo slightly curled his lips.
Who’s targeting who is still uncertain.
His girl isn’t a naive little bunny.
"Do you think you’re qualified?"
"You dare?"
"Is our boss soone you can ss with?"
"Want us to end you now?"
"If you want to target our boss, wish for a better reincarnation in the next life."
"..."
Upon hearing Felix’s words, people from The Pantheon couldn’t stay calm; they hated seeing Holly underestimated and hated hearing empty boasts about targeting Holly.
Felix looked at the riled crowd, clearly dazed.
The two groups stood in separate places, and the riled group was nurous, far more than the quiet group.
So, these were Leo’s girlfriend’s people.
"Ugh, too noisy."
Holly moved slightly, rubbing her eyes, sleepy-eyed.
Leo’s embrace was especially comfortable; she had fallen asleep but was rudely awakened by the commotion.
