Inside the office.

The black box projection continued its dialogue with Wells.

“You’ve misunderstood, Teacher Ewass.”

Wells did not carry the airs of royalty, but neither did he retreat in the face of Ewass’s blunt tone.

“I wonder if you’ve heard the rumors. Right now, there are quite a number of demon spies lurking in the royal capital, attempting to sabotage the upcoming coronation ceremony. We are troubled, trying to capture these spies.”

“That’s your problem to solve,” Ewass replied.

“It’s your responsibility as king.”

“But when a student encounters a problem they cannot solve, seeking help from their teacher is normal,” Wells said, gazing at Ewass.

“Of course, I can understand a teacher’s wish for students to resolve things themselves in order to progress and grow. But this is a ti of crisis. I consider my abilities still insufficient, so I must ask for your aid.”

“...The situation ca suddenly, and the preparations for ritual magic are complicated. I cannot get away.”

“Then please send soone capable to assist .”

“Fine, fine... You really are troubleso. I’ll send her to you imdiately.”

Ewass let out an impatient sigh.

Once finished, his image gradually faded, signaling the end of the communication.

The glow of the black box dimd and vanished.

Wells withdrew his gaze and turned toward Rozelite.

“Considering the ti we have, I’ve found two helpers for you. With their assistance, two days should be enough to find the demon spies hiding in the city.”

“Those people belong to the Shadow Race, fad among the demons themselves for assassination and intelligence gathering,” Rozelite reminded him.

“Rest assured, I’ve taken that into account...”

As Wells spoke, he turned to the chamberlain beside him. “Go and summon Fingus.”

The chamberlain bowed and departed.

“Who is Fingus?”

Rozelite asked.

“A skilled swordsman. Though young, he is dependable.”

About ten minutes after Wells gave the order, footsteps echoed down the corridor.

The office door soon swung open, and a boy in casual attire entered Rozelite’s sight.

“Your Highness, I’m very busy. I don’t have ti to be summoned and ordered around by you.”

The boy spoke with no courtesy the mont he entered.

Then his eyes fell upon Rozelite, and he froze for a second.

“You’re... Huh? Could it be the real deal?”

He raised his brows in surprise.

Rozelite glanced at him, frowning slightly.

His deanor was frivolous, leaving her with a poor impression.

But still...

“Is it just my imagination? His eyes and brows feel a little similar to Winnie’s…”

“Allow to introduce him.”

Wells rose and addressed Rozelite.

“Rozelite, this is Fingus Charlotte, the new generation Sword Saint of the House Charlotte, and currently the captain of my royal guard. He is also investigating the demon spies hidden in the capital. With his cooperation, things should go much smoother.”

Before Rozelite could respond, Fingus had already widened his eyes in shock, staring at Wells as if he had gone mad.

“Oh my goodness, dear First Prince, have your days of endless duties scrambled your mind, causing hallucinations? Do you realize what you just said? ? Assist her? That little kid? Investigate demon spies? What am I supposed to say—too funny?”

Wells’ face remained expressionless.

“This is my sister, the Seventh Princess Rozelite Othinus. Fingus, mind your manners.”

“Oh heavens, how rude of .”

Fingus imdiately bowed with exaggerated courtesy toward Rozelite.

But his sarcastic tone was impossible to miss.

After introducing Fingus, Wells turned back to Rozelite, an apologetic look on his face.

“He does have his issues, but his skills are trustworthy,” Wells said.

“Don’t be fooled by his surface-level frivolousness.”

Russell’s voice followed imdiately.

“If you ask , this kid is just using frivolity to disguise himself. Your brother may not simply want him as your assistant. More likely, he’s been assigned to monitor you.”

As Rozelite’s internal brain, Russell never hesitated to judge others with the harshest suspicion.

Rozelite understood this well.

Even though emotionally, she preferred to believe Wells wasn’t scheming against her, Mr. Sli’s warning was clearly more credible and realistic.

“I understand.”

Rozelite spoke softly.

It was both a reply to Wells, and to Russell.

Russell then glanced at Fingus, who stood nearby with a mocking smile tugging at his lips.

【Na: Fingus Charlotte】

【Race: Human】

【Level: 46】

【Status: None】

【HP: 1330/1330】

【MP: 1280/1280】

【Skills: Sword Saint’s Blessing lv9, One-Handed Sword Mastery lv9, Rapid Movent lv8, Gale Sword Aura lv5, Gale Sword lv8, Stealth lv7, Eagle Eye lv6, Wind Magic lv6, Weak Electric Aim lv4, Mana Perception lv4, Court Etiquette lv4, Ballroom Dance lv2】

A Sword Saint...

Russell rembered Rozelite once saying that those chosen as “Sword Saints” were always swordsn with exceptional talent, and that 【Sword Saint’s Blessing】 allowed them to multiply that talent even further.

But then again...

By right, the House Charlotte should only have one Sword Saint per generation.

This boy looked young, about Winnie’s age, perhaps five or six years older at most—so still of the sa generation.

But Winnie also bore 【Sword Saint’s Blessing】.

“Is there so hidden truth behind this...?”

While Russell pondered, new footsteps sounded outside.

The office door, left open since Fingus’ arrival, allowed everyone to turn their heads toward the hall.

From the corridor, a girl with long white hair walked slowly toward the office.

Wells raised his brows when he saw her. Clearly, he had not expected his teacher Ewass to send this one to assist.

Still, he turned back to Rozelite.

“This is the second assistant I’ve found for you. She is from the Rhine Royal Magic Academy, and though she’s only been enrolled two years, her knowledge already surpasses most instructors. She’s an A-rank mber of the Magic Association, with over twenty magical patents under her na. In fact, the projection magic box you just saw was also her creation. She can truly be called a genius.”

“Aristine Caroline.”
