The Sims: I Open the Immortal Path for All Beings Chapter 1915: 1860–1861 Taoist Monarch About to Fall2
Chapter 1915: Chapter 1860–1861 Taoist Monarch About to Fall_2
The fact that even a Taoist Monarch could fall indicates that this great battle is far more terrifying than they had imagined.
Even though both of them are at the True Immortal Sixth Layer Heaven, just one step away from becoming Taoist Monarchs, they also understand how powerful a Taoist Monarch truly is.
Initially, they thought this battle, despite being a contest among Taoist Monarchs where they might personally take action, would be limited, with mutual restraint, since even if a Taoist Monarch lost, they would still retain a fundantal base of interests. Thus, the real fierce battles would involve those below the True Immortal Sixth Layer Heaven.
Given their strength, as long as they don’t face a powerful Taoist Monarch directly, it’s not particularly difficult to save their lives against any True Immortal or God, even if they’re at a disadvantage.
However, Pei Xuanjing’s words clearly suggested a different concept, implying that even they, as True Immortal Sixth Layer Heaven experts, face a significant risk of losing their lives in this battle.
The two of them fell into a mont of silence, needing to reassess the upcoming situation.
“Master, which Taoist Monarchs took action that day?” Pang Hong asked, curious about a question that had been troubling him for a long ti.
Zhao Baiyang’s actions this ti were indeed remarkable, but besides his own abilities and courage, it’s undeniable that the mysterious Taoist Monarch who intervened greatly helped their group.
Indeed, there are rules that a Taoist Monarch should not easily attack a True Immortal, as it would break the rules.
Yet in that situation, since the Buddhist Taoist Monarch Bodhisattva had already descended, without anyone stopping them, they would definitely have dealt with Zhao Baiyang and the other two decisively, not giving them a chance to attain Taoist Monarch status.
In such circumstances, even if this Buddhist Tao Monarch Bodhisattva’s action disrupted the rules and later faced questions or even joint punishnt from other Taoist Monarchs afterward.
But these are things for later; at least for Zhao Baiyang and the two Demon Monarchs at that ti, it was a doomsday scenario. They would have lost their lives, and the opportunity to certify as Taoist Monarchs would have been gone. No matter the cost to Buddhism, it would have been aningless to them.
To follow the rules and allow the adversary to grow, or to break the rules to eliminate the foe and prevent their growth—the choice isn’t difficult. When the Buddhists appeared, they had likely already made preparations, but were rely blocked by the mysterious Taoist Monarch.
There had never been any word of Zhao Baiying being close to any Taoist Monarch, or what kind of price he paid for a Taoist Monarch to be willing to oppose Buddhism for them.
Be aware that ordinarily representing soone and opposing an enraged Buddhist Taoist Monarch Bodhisattva are two entirely different matters.
The circumstance that day was thus that the Buddhist Taoist Monarch Bodhisattva remained rational; were they truly to lose their sanity and recklessness, provoking a Taoist Monarch level great battle, the subsequent developnt would remain uncertain.
“Two Taoist Monarchs truly revealed themselves: the Witch God Sect Leader and the Red Blood Ancestor. The one who truly intervened was the Red Blood Ancestor,” said Pei Xuanjing.
Though others may be unaware of which Taoist Monarchs acted, how could he possibly not know who appeared that day?
“Red Blood Ancestor, Witch God Sect Leader,” Pang Hong slightly frowned.
Yu Zhenzi asked, “Isn’t the Demonic Gate known to be most divided? Why would the Red Blood Ancestor intervene? Could it be for the Purgatory Demon Monarch and the Ten Thousand Beasts Demon Monarch? And even if so, Red Blood Ancestor’s involvent would still be understandable given his friction with Buddhism. But why would the Witch God Sect Leader act in such a way?”
Conflict within the Demonic Gate is ever-ongoing, and the Demonic Way’s Taoist Monarchs never ddle in the affairs of juniors. This intervention by Red Blood Ancestor was indeed surprising.
Even considering the grudges between Red Blood Ancestor and Buddhism, or that the Demonic Way needed more powerhouses, or due to Buddhists continuously invading the Sea of Blood in the Nether Yin Departnt, prompting Red Blood Ancestor’s desire for revenge—these could barely explain it.
However, why would the Witch God Sect Leader intervene? There isn’t much friction between the Witch God Sect and Buddhism, and despite Buddhism coveting the Nether Yin Departnt, they’re unable to cross the Sea of Blood, making it impossible to intrude into the Nether Yin Departnt.
Additionally, recently, with the Fire Virtue Star Lord wielding the authority of Ancestor Witch Zhu Rong, and the Wood Virtue Star Lord trading the Wood Dao Authority with the Ju Mang Ancestor Witch, this already pushed the Witch God Sect into being in the eye of the storm, nearly making all sides wary, almost bringing the Witch God Sect to becoming a target of all.
Now, with the Witch God Sect Leader intervening like this, even if they allied with Zhao Baiyang and others, provoking Buddhist hostility seems sowhat not worth it.
“Nothing but the fact that Zhao Baiyang paid a significant enough price and because of interdependence,” Pei Xuanjing explained.
In his view, the intervention by the Witch God Sect Leader was actually not surprising, especially since so things in Zhao Baiyang’s possession were coveted by Buddhism but also attracted the Witch God Sect. If they were willing to share, the Witch God Sect Leader’s intervention would be no big deal.
And although the Witch God Sect and Buddhism have no direct conflict, coexistence due to the Nether Yin Departnt is impossible, it’s only that the ti hasn’t yet arrived for actual conflict, and suppressing Buddhism early aligns with the interests of the Witch God Sect.
Conversely, the Red Blood Ancestor’s intervention, for that reason, seems inadequately justified; there are undoubtedly other reasons here, which even Pei Xuanjing himself is very curious about.
…
The Witch God Sect, Zhu Jiuyin sat silently atop a mountain peak, his eyes glinting with divine light, seemingly piercing through the River of Ti, observing both the past and the future.
As one of the Ancestral Witches of the Witch God Sect, recognized as the strongest existence below a Taoist Monarch, ever since last stepping in to help Ju Mang Ancestor Witch seize the Wood Dao Authority and battle True Monarch Bai Qicang, no one dared to doubt his strength.
Yet this ant little to Zhu Jiuyin; upon returning to the Witch God Sect, he remained frequently perched upon the mountain summit, witnessing the changing heavens and earth, unmoved.
“Zhao Baiyang has beco a Taoist Monarch?” Ju Mang Ancestor Witch’s voice suddenly resounded.
Zhu Jiuyin replied without turning his head, “Weren’t you in seclusion attempting to refine the Wood Dao Authority? Why erge at this ti, have you mastered it?”
Since last dismissing the Five Old Lords, even as the transaction between both parties is laid bare, no others seem to have stepped forward to obstruct; as if all other Taoist Monarchs have tacitly agreed to this matter.
Ju Mang Ancestor Witch successfully completed the transaction with the Wood Virtue Star Lord, obtaining the coveted Wood Dao Authority. The Wood Virtue Star Lord, or now King Zhuanlun, has entered the Nether Yin Departnt to refine his Divine Position, cultivating the Life and Death Dao, striving to beco a Taoist Monarch quickly.
Ju Mang Ancestor Witch obtaining the Wood Dao Authority doesn’t an imdiate Tao certification; mastering these authorities will take considerable ti, and restrictions still await him when achieving Taoist Monarch status.
The Taoist Monarch’s tribulation is a trial from Heaven and Earth; even True Immortal strong ones following the Immortal Path cannot evade it when certifying the Tao, albeit with slightly smaller tribulations.
Seeing Ju Mang erge from seclusion now, Zhu Jiuyin believed he should be nearly prepared.
“Consider it mostly mastered, but I’m still short of what’s required to certify the Tao,” Ju Mang Ancestor Witch said.
This authority is simple to grasp, but fully adapting and even linking it with pre-held powers, employing it to master more Daoist Rules’ original shares, isn’t easy.
Even having a substantial foundation, he still finds assimilating it all in such little ti a challenge.
After all, were it so simple, then acquiring relevant Dao Authority before harnessing Daoist Rules’ original shares, perhaps certifying the Tao wouldn’t be as difficult, and Taoist Monarchs wouldn’t choose long cultivation when direct seizing would suffice.
Upon seeing Ju Mang erge from seclusion now, Zhu Jiuyin judges that he is nearly there.
