Olivia’s POV

"You still won’t speak to ." I smiled. He glanced at without saying a word. Ares has the habit of always keeping to himself, I thought after the talk we had at the roof he would be open to or at-least be open to the idea of having a conversation with but that wasn’t the case.

"Can you just swim without saying anything."

"He speaks." I mumbled against my breath earning a groan from him, I rolled my eyes at his behavior. I have been at the pool for the past one hour, it’s refreshing and I wanted sothing different to do today. I was getting tired of always staying in this house and not knowing anything regarding my surroundings.

"When do I get to see Luca l?." I asked.

"He is coming for dinner, he just has to finish up his work." It felt like I was forcing him to speak, it was fun getting on his every nerve.

I got out of the water, making sure to dry my body with the towels Ares left on the chair before laying down to take a rest, the sun wasn’t out today which made it better, I enjoyed swimming without the sun, it felt more relaxing having the sky empty with nothing but clouds, the soft winds grazing against my skin. The breeze whistling through the trees, I enjoyed every mont of it.

After a while of laying down, the breeze started rolling faster. I could tell it was going to rain, I glanced around and Ares was not in sight, I let out a sigh taking my phone and headed back inside.

Luca and I have gotten a lot better, he has treated better than I could imagine, every night he would have dinner with , sotis we end up having breakfast together. I got to know a lot about it, Luca just like Ares never enjoyed speaking much, he likes to keep to himself most of the ti, I tried to find out why he knew so much about him but he always brushed the conversation up, and whenever I try to get him to speak regarding my situation, why he bought from Conrad. He never gave a straight answer. I didn’t push him either.

"Do you think I should make dinner?." I ask Ares,

"You can get hurt in the kitchen."

"No one gets hurt in the kitchen besides I love cooking." I smiled, it was one of the few things that reminded of my mother, she loved cooking, I can recall waking up every morning with excitent written all over my face, she made excited to wake up for school every morning because I was always curious to find out the treats mom would make for lunch.

I miss her, my eyes pooled with tears reminiscing my childhood, it’s a good thing Ares was not looking at , I won’t want tospeak about it.

I pushed back all my thoughts, I headed into the kitchen, Ares just like a bodyguard sat by the kitchen island watching ,

"Don’t you have better things to do than follow around."

"Believe I wish I could leave." He muttered against his breath and I rolled my eyes.

It took about an hour to get the food ready, I wanted to make sothing that reminded of her, I made her famous salad and steak to go with it. I gave Ares a taste and even if he won’t say it I know he loved it.

By the ti I got back into my room, I took a shower to get all the food sll off , I changed into more comfortable clothes. My feet paddled against the floor, existing my door from behind. I heard a few voices coming from Luca’s room. He didn’t sound happy.

A part of wanted to overhear his conversation but I didn’t, I made my way back to the living room. After a few minutes Luca ca in with Ares, they was sothing going on they worn let in even if I asked.

I understood, as the alpha he has responsibilities and not everyone he could trust, maybe he didn’t trust after all.

"Coconut." Luca said, my eyes widened in disbelief when he said that,

"How-" I begin to ask, I served Luca my mom’s salad and just one taste he could tell the secret ingredient, it is often hard for people to recognize it, only a little bit is being added to the salad.

"I have a strong taste buds." Luca smiled. "I’m guessing you got the recipe from your mother."

How did he know that, my subconscious says.

"How do you know my mother?." I asked, I know Luca knew a lot about , I had a feeling he made his research before eting Conrad but knowing about my mother, he shouldn’t know that. I never told anyone about her and only a few knew of her existence.

"She got killed by- Luca ." I warned. "How do you know my mother?." I asked again.

"I t her a couple of tis before she died." He said.

He knew my mother, she died a long ti ago.

"Did you know of my existence?." I asked.

When he didn’t give an answer I knew the truth, how long has he known about .

"Did Conrad really sell to you?." I asked, this was a question I told myself I would never ask, asking the question made believe that I was still holding on to the past, maybe a part of wanted it so badly, I wanted to be assured that the man whom I loved for so many years won’t sell to the alpha.

"Luca."

"They are sothing I can’t tell you Olivia. You should not be bothered about Conrad."

"He didn’t sell willingly, you forced him." I muttered against my breath.

"Olivia please." Luca said, his voice cracking with anger.

"Fuck you." I yelled.

I shouldn’t have trusted Luca, I should’ve asked Conrad one last ti before I left, Luca knew so much about probably even more than I knew about myself. It only explained why he wanted in the first place, I have known about the alpha since I was born, his family, his clan, the alpha would never purchase a wolf except he got the wolf in exchange of a favor.

He took Conrad away from , he didn’t treat like a servant instead he took care of , there is sothing about the alpha I didn’t know and I would find out, I have pretended long enough now I don’t think my feelings are fake anymore.

I locked my door from behind, yelling followed after a while, I could tell it was coming from the living room. It took about two minutes before I opened the door and headed to his office.

There is only one way I can find out what he wants from , I would have to find out myself. My heart pounded against my rip cage, the aura of the room was filled with undeniable silence, my hand shook as I glanced around so papers on his desk. I know I would be a dead woman if he finds here.

I will just have to make sure he doesn’t. I checked his desk until my hand t a yellow envelope, it had my na on it. I let out a breath hiding it in my sweater before walking out of the room.

"What were you doing here?."

"I- I ca to apologize to Luca . He is not in here." I said covering it up with a nervous smile.

"The alpha is downstairs, I will let him know you are looking for him." The guard replied.

As soon as he left, I headed back into my room and locked the door. I knew at that mont whatever I find in that envelope would determine my relationship with Luca , I wanted it to be better than I imagined, I know I felt sothing for Luca , it was weird but I liked him, he treated better than anyone.

"You can do it." I muttered against my breath.

My fingers fiddled trying to open the envelope, I took out the item that was in it, it was my pictures. Why would he have my pictures? So had Conrad in them, when we went for our first date, I continued with it when I found sothing.

A picture of when I was in my forr town, this was long before Conrad. It was when I was with my old clan, my chest tightened, he has every information of my life, a picture of with my mother. The first ti I changed into a wolf. He has everything.

What else did he know

I knew there was one thing I had to do, I have to get out of here, to hell with the plan, I can’t stay for even a minute.
