Unlike wizards who learn various types of magic, masu could only use the innate powers they were born with when they first awakened.

Like the shadow leopard and killer rabbit that Turan had encountered in the past.

There were various hypotheses about the reason for this.

So said it was because masu's intellectual abilities and imagination were too poor, or that it was the sa principle as bloodlines specialized in physical combat having difficulty extending magic outside their bodies.

Therefore, Turan consistently passed on magic-using techniques and sensations to Bize.

If masu's inability to use magic was an issue of intellectual ability, he believed Bize could certainly overco this.

Even being able to use simple telekinesis or ignition magic would be incredibly convenient.

But despite quite so ti passing with little progress, he had half given up until suddenly witnessing this terrifying wind magic display.

'How?'

Just as he was startled, Turan noticed sothing occurring within himself and focused his consciousness.

Through the soul string connecting him to Bize, he could feel sothing being transmitted from his inner self to Bize.

It was closer to pure 'information' rather than sothing consumable like magic power or ntal energy.

'Could it be that my Storm bloodline ability is being transferred?'

As if confirming this, when Bize stopped the vortex, the rippling sensation in the soul string disappeared.

Turan analyzed his bird's newly acquired ability while petting Bize who had cald down and landed.

"You suddenly beca able to do it after getting stronger?"

[Yes!]

"What about what I taught you before?"

[Can't do that! Can't make fire or move things!]

"Then can you perhaps try hiding invisibly?"

After trying for a mont, Bize tilted her head as if unable to do it.

This ant she could only borrow specifically the Storm bloodline ability among Turan's powers, and even then only the wind-related power that had been developed so far.

'Was this why they said only isa and I were a perfect match?'

Could it be that Bize had latent talent for wind, or wind and lightning powers, and thus only responded to nobles with compatible bloodlines?

If so, it wasn't surprising at all that soone "perfectly matching" her hadn't appeared until now.

Logically, an Arabion bloodline noble would have no reason to go buy a masu from the Enril Desert.

After so more experintation, it beca clear that Bize's wind magic was closer to the typical innate magic unique to masu.

In the sense that while her precise control was inferior to human wizards, her pure output and efficiency were far better.

Watching this silently from the side, Solif clicked his tongue and said:

"Absolutely never release her into the wild later. If she gets a taste for human flesh, nothing short of an expedition from a great house could catch her."

Indeed, a black eagle with high noble-level magic power that could also handle wind was literally a disaster waiting to happen.

How could anyone chase and attack sothing that flies at trendous speeds and can blow away even log cabins from far away?

At Solif's words, Bize jumped up to sit above his head and pecked at him with her beak.

"Ow! Why are you doing this, that hurts! Hey, tell her to stop!"

[I don't eat humans! Because Turan told not to!]

After pecking several tis, Bize landed on the ground, wrote those words, and then climbed onto the rod at Turan's side while huffing.

Just as he was about to burst out laughing at that childish display, Turan asked Solif who was rubbing his head:

"Have you ever heard of cases like this? Of masu learning magic after birth, I an."

"Hmm, I have no idea..."

If even Solif, heir to a great house who received customized education, didn't know about it, it certainly didn't seem to be a common occurrence.

Well, there wasn't any related content in the masu guide either, was there?

It might be good to ask soone knowledgeable about masu in detail when he ets one soday.

Or perhaps a librarian.

After finishing analysis of this unexpected situation, they began cleaning up the battlefield.

First, Solif lit flas to burn all the corpses while Bize blew wind to spread this around the fortress where the battle had taken place.

In a way, it was a cremation of trendous scale.

anwhile, Turan used tracking magic to search for useful treasures in the burned fortress.

Unfortunately, the flas that had swept through the entire fortress had reached the treasure vault, causing gold coins, silver coins, and various jeweled ornants to lt and fuse together.

Since Turan's large capacity pouch was running low on remaining space, these went into Solif's large capacity backpack.

Though it was much larger than Turan's pouch, it had a lower multiplication factor making the total capacity similar, but there was space to spare since the Baraha nobles had thrown out all the miscellaneous items inside.

Solif lanted that all his cherished sugarcane liquor was gone.

After finishing the collection, they used tracking magic to find and remove any hair, blood, feathers, etc. that ca from their bodies.

This was essential since skilled Zahar nobles or those with tracking magic devices could use these as clues to follow them.

As they finished all the cleanup, the sun rose announcing the end of the long night.

Solif raised his hand to block the sunlight and asked:

"Stayed up all night and I'm dead tired... so what's the plan now, boss?"

Boss - it was a title he had never heard until now.

It felt even more bizarre since the one saying it was a great noble about forty years his senior.

Without showing such feelings, Turan pointed to Solif's left arm.

"First we need to fix that."

"Ah."

Solif looked down at his left arm severed from the elbow as if he had forgotten about it.

While the recovery potion glass bottle nad 'Spring of Life' couldn't reattach severed arms, nobles with the Healer bloodline could create even missing arms.

Though he could use telekinesis magic without major inconvenience in daily life, having an arm was still better than not having one.

"If we go to a place I know, we can get treatnt anonymously. Don't worry about the treatnt cost, we earned plenty."

"Where is it?"

"Arabion."

At first he had considered asking Rida of Labitas for treatnt, but there was the problem of not knowing where she usually resided.

Surely she wouldn't always stay by the hot springs, and if she was at the Labitas main house, they would have to reveal their identity and draw attention to call her out.

Considering that the Siraf Wetlands near the South Sea were likely within House Baraha's search range, rather than exposing their movents that way, it would be better to quietly recruit a noble with the Healer bloodline through House Berk's connections in the distant Dakein Plains.

"Ah, the one in the northwest? No wonder you could fly - you're an Arabion noble? And you stole the stealth magic by killing a Zahar noble?"

"No, that's an innate ability... I'm mixed-blood, if I have to say."

Solif's face hardened at the words mixed-blood.

Though usually just aning born between two houses, hadn't Turan already shown abilities of both houses?

"Don't tell it's bloodline combination?"

"That's right."

Solif couldn't continue speaking for a mont before quietly asking if it was three.

Guessing he ant the number of bloodline abilities, Turan nodded and answered.

"For now."

"What's that supposed to an?"

"With four bloodlines, they seem to unlock one by one as magic power gets stronger. I'm on the third one now. Still can't use the lightning side."
