"Stop!!!"

Shisui realized Anko's intent too late. Unable to stop her, he could only watch helplessly as she charged forward, only to be sent flying back even faster than she had attacked.

"Gah!"

Anko rolled violently across the ground several tis before coughing up a mouthful of blood. In just a single exchange, she had been heavily injured.

Seeing this, Shisui's expression darkened instantly. Although reason told him that retreating was the most advantageous option, his hand moved uncontrollably to grip the short sword on his back.

"Yamato."

"Understood."

Yamato responded quickly, his face equally filled with anger. He imdiately unleashed a powerful Wood Release ninjutsu.

"Wood Release: Thorn Killing Technique!"

Several thick vines burst from the ground, binding the surprised woman in place. At almost the exact sa mont, Shisui flickered into existence behind her.

However, what happened next was sothing neither of them could have anticipated.

The Thorn Killing Technique was a Wood Release jutsu specifically designed to restrict enemies, possessing a toughness far beyond ordinary branches. Yet, with a gentle struggle, the woman shattered the bindings completely.

And that wasn't all. Facing Shisui's high-speed Body Flicker attack, she didn't even turn her head. She simply extended two fingers and clamped them onto the blade. No matter how hard Shisui pushed, he couldn't advance the edge even a single milliter.

"Nice speed, but the power is lacking," the woman mocked.

Her words didn't shake Shisui. He retracted his sword and leaped back, a crimson light suddenly flaring in his eyes.

Sharingan, activate!

"Oh? A descendant of Indra. No wonder you have such strength at a young age," the woman said.

Shisui was confused. It's clearly the Sharingan, why is she talking about Indra...? Wait!

Shisui suddenly recalled hearing that na from Kyosuke-sensei, but he couldn't rember the origin in the heat of the mont. He buried the doubt in his heart.

Using his Sharingan to observe the woman's subtle movents, Shisui sheathed his blade, gripping the hilt in a reverse hold and turning his side toward her.

"Iaijutsu... it seems you know quite a few tricks. Let's see how far the way of the sword has developed."

As soon as her voice fell, a brilliant flash of fire erupted before her eyes. The blade, hidden within the flas, slashed rapidly toward her abdon.

"Uchiha Style: Immovable Fla Slash!"

Shisui hadn't fully mastered this technique yet, so he chose to hide the blade within the flas to enhance its lethality. Combined with his superior speed, this strike was sothing few could withstand.

However, a sudden surge of chakra coated the woman's body, making it as hard as iron. Shisui's short sword struck her but failed to leave even a scratch.

This thod of chakra application... is she from the Hyuga clan? Shisui thought, his face grim as he kept his eyes locked on her.

If his guess was right, and this woman possessed such power without even activating a Byakugan... Shisui dared not think further. He finally understood that the enemy before them was not soone they could handle.

Making a hand signal to his two teammates behind him, Shisui thought for a mont and spoke softly, "Today's events were a misunderstanding, and my companion has already received her punishnt. How about we leave it at this?"

Hearing Shisui's words, neither Yamato nor the heavily injured Anko said a word, tacitly accepting the surrender.

Seeing this, the woman laughed again. Instead of accepting Shisui's concession, she turned her mockery back to Anko. "Little brat, now you know how powerful I am. If you want to spare you, co over here and kowtow three tis."

"Oh, right. They have to be loud, and I want to see blood on your forehead. Otherwise, I'll kill your two friends," the woman added with a smile, eting Anko's humiliated gaze.

Anko's fingernails dug deep into her palms, her body trembling with rage, tears streaming down her face. As the pampered princess of the Mitarashi clan and the disciple of Uchiha Kyosuke, she had never suffered such grievance in her life. If she could, she wanted to carve this hateful woman into pieces.

But she couldn't. She didn't dare. The woman's power was far beyond what the three of them could match. She couldn't let her mistake cost her teammates their lives.

Standing up shakily, Anko looked at the woman with a blank expression. "Kowtow three tis, right? If I do it, will you let my friends go?"

"Yes, yes, stop dawdling. My patience is limited. Or maybe you'd prefer I kill one of them first to help you make up your mind?" As the woman spoke, she scanned Shisui and Yamato with malicious intent, as if selecting a target.

Seeing this, Shisui gripped his short sword tightly. Without turning back, he said decisively, "Don't listen to her threats. Yamato has already crushed the signal device. Sensei will be here to save us soon. Until then, I won't let you get hurt."

"Hahaha! Sensei? If he really dares to co, I don't mind killing him right in front of you," the woman said, continuing to crush the children's confidence. She loved nothing more than watching the weak struggle futilely before her.

However, the reaction was different this ti. After she spoke, instead of the expected panic, a look of mockery flashed through the eyes of the three children.

The woman realized that this "Sensei" must hold an extraordinary place in their hearts. Even after seeing her power, they still believed their teacher could defeat her.

This discovery brought a smile back to her face.

Originally, she planned to torture them a bit and then let them go—after all, they included a descendant of Indra. But now, she changed her mind. She would thoroughly defeat this so-called teacher in front of them, and then brutally torture him to death.

Her long slumber had twisted her psyche. She had always disliked the weak resisting her, and now that trait had intensified.

This woman was none other than the helper Toneri Otsutsuki had brought out from the alternate dinsion. For reasons unknown, she had appeared here alone and encountered Kyosuke's three disciples.

But while waiting for this teacher to arrive, she grew impatient. She decided to inflict so punishnt on these three brats first, to teach them the price of defiance.
