Liam sat alone at the edge of the obsidian garden, fingers tracing the hilt of a blade he didn’t rember forging.

He frowned.

That scent again.

Faint.Like lavender in smoke.Familiar... but untouchable.

He turned—slowly. A flicker of silk danced behind the stone pillars.

A woman.

She bowed slightly when he looked her way. Her eyes shimred—but not with fear.

With... heartbreak.

"Can I help you?" he asked politely.

She smiled. That sa strange, aching smile he had seen for days.

"No," she replied softly. "You already did."

It was happening more often now—these echoes.

Monts that didn’t belong.

Dreams of fire and snowfall.Laughter echoing down a corridor he didn’t rember walking.A woman’s hand holding his in the dark.

He didn’t understand. But sothing inside him was tugging.

A whisper in the blood.A na on the tip of his soul.

Every ti he looked at her—the Queen—his chest tightened like it had forgotten how to breathe.

He didn’t know why.

But he was sure he’d once loved her like fire loved oxygen.

His mind was a shattered stained glass window.

Each shard held a color he couldn’t na, a mory he couldn’t place.

But the light behind it?

It was starting to push through.

Flashes.

Her smile under moonlight. The sound of her laugh echoing inside a ruined palace.A promise whispered in the middle of war.

And always—always—that scent of lavender and blood.

The Queen was a lody he almost rembered, a song that played in his bones but never reached his ears.

He didn’t know her.But his soul ached like it did.

That night, Liam dreamt again.

But this ti, the vision wasn’t fragnted.

He was standing in the center of the Shadow Realm throne hall.

Alone.

Except for her.

The Queen stood across from him. Not as a ruler. Not as a warrior.

But as his.

Tears streaked down her face.

"If you rember this... it ans I’m gone."

His heart stopped.

Then she stepped forward—pressed sothing into his hand.

A ring. His ring.

The mory collapsed into darkness.

And Liam sat bolt upright, panting—clutching that sa ring in his palm.

In the waking world.
