Chapter 899: Chapter 3: Desecrating the Divine

“In that case, the Church respects your choice, Lord Lan Jue,” Solan said with a smile. “However, the blessing is the bishop’s intention. Since Lord Lan Jue does not wish to go there, may I conduct a simple blessing ceremony here?”

Lan Jue looked at Solan, pondered for a mont, and then nodded, saying, “Feel free, Mr. Solan.”

Solan nodded with a smile. He stood up, clapped his hands, and instantly, two figures walked in from outside. Both were dressed in divine office attire, one male and one female. The woman on the left handed the scepter to Solan.

Solan took the scepter, seemingly ready to perform a simple ritual.

This made Xu Mo a bit curious. Could the rituals conducted by the Church’s clergy really be effective?

He saw Solan raise the scepter, and imdiately, wisps of light shimred from the crystal atop it, quickly enveloping the area in vibrant hues.

Xu Mo showed a trace of curiosity, observing the flowing light, which was Source Power.

These Source Powers seed to have tangible colors, very dense, quickly surrounding the area, flowing towards Lan Qing, and not only that, but the energy also flowed to others, including Xu Mo and Zero.

As Source Power flowed into him, Xu Mo felt a stir within. It seed that for the Church to develop to its current state, there must be sothing extraordinary about it.

“May God bless all living beings. The great Creator God will bless you,” Solan said as he raised the scepter, Source Power flowing into Lan Qing’s body. But Xu Mo noticed that more energy was gushing toward Zero.

Soon, the dazzling lights surrounding the area rushed toward Zero, who appeared like a goddess bathed in radiance, dazzling and stunning.

Solan suddenly opened his eyes wide, looking at Zero with a gleam of excitent, proclaiming, “Congratulations to you, great Creator God, for selecting your chosen one.”

Xu Mo frowned upon hearing Solan’s words. The divine selected Zero?

He felt as if Solan was rely using the alleged ‘divine’ as a facade to mystify things.

Behind Solan, the two figures uttered sounds akin to a Divine Oracle.

Finally, the lights in the area disappeared. Solan lowered the scepter, but his gaze remained on Zero, still showing an excited look, bowing and saluting Zero, “Congratulations on being chosen by the divine.”

Zero revealed a strange expression, gazing at Xu Mo beside her.

Xu Mo rely smiled and said, “Thank you, divine.”

“Grateful to the divine,” Solan bowed in response. “I will personally escort you to Chloe Star, where the Archbishop will further accept the divine oracle.”

“??” Xu Mo furrowed his brows.

From Lan Qing to Zero?

Lan Jue also frowned. Did Solan suspect that he might allow Lan Qing to leave with Xu Mo, intentionally using the na of the divine to stir up trouble?

If Zero agreed, she would be under his control. If Zero refused…

“Sorry, we have matters to attend to and no ti to go,” Xu Mo replied.

Solan looked at Xu Mo in amazent and said, “Mr. Xu Mo, this is the divine oracle.”

“That’s your god,” Xu Mo smiled and replied. “To be honest, I don’t believe in gods.”

“How dare you!” Solan shouted, slamming the scepter to the ground. The surrounding Source Power seed to go berserk, enveloping the space with a terrifying oppressive aura. Solan’s eyes seed to shoot blue light, lighting up with lightning, reprimanding Xu Mo, “Are you desecrating the divine?”

As his words fell, a terrifying storm engulfed the room, and the pressure made it difficult to breathe, even causing Xu Mo to feel a powerful oppressive force.

Although Solan seed arrogant, his strength was indeed very strong. In Xu Mo’s perception, he had already reached SS level.

The two people behind Solan also released powerful energy, just like Solan, they were also SS level.

A planetary Church that has so many experts suggests how terrifying the Church’s power is. The Archbishop he ntioned must be even stronger, and above the Archbishop are others, no wonder Lan Jue was wary of Solan.

As Lan Jue suspected, Solan’s visit to Lansiding Star was indeed gilding. Now the Church is rapidly expanding, with the Empire and the republic engaged in intense warfare. He needs to quickly gain control of Lansiding Star, and controlling the Governor’s Mansion is undoubtedly the fastest way.

The Governor, Lan Jue, invited Xu Mo to dine, seemingly intending to let Lan Qing leave with Xu Mo. He had his eye on Lan Qing for a long ti, how could he let her leave?

Just in ti, this stranger from afar had prepared a high-grade warship for him. If he could capture it, the gilding mission on Lansiding Star would be completed far beyond expectations.

Though the warship is strong, once the commander leaves the warship, it’s out of their control.

Moreover, who dares to defy the divine oracle?

Disrespecting the divine, punishable by death.

One must admit, Solan’s approach is very aggressive, but it’s undoubtedly a shortcut.

In the oppressive room, everyone fell silent, and Xu Mo’s face suddenly turned very ugly. Behind him, the faces of Ye Qingdie and others also changed. Are the Church mbers so domineering and unreasonable?

To act in the na of the divine, forcibly taking people with them?

Lan Jue also frowned deeply. Solan used the divine oracle as an excuse. If Xu Mo resisted, it would be desecration of the divine. Such an action could be extrely malicious, directly forcing Xu Mo into a dead end, standing against the Church.

He naturally realized that Solan wanted to put Xu Mo to death. Upon first eting, it wouldn’t have co to this, but given the current chaos on the planet, it was too common to kill for treasures. Not to ntion, Xu Mo controlled a powerful warship, hard not to make people envious.

“Bishop, Mr. Xu Mo is rely my guest. I hope you’ll show so leniency,” Lan Jue said, changing his address for Solan, hoping he could resolve the matter peacefully.

“Governor, desecrating the divine is a major cri,” Solan said, looking at Lan Jue. “However, the rciful creator is willing to give them another chance, to follow to the Church, sincerely repent, and receive divine baptism.”

As he spoke, he looked towards Xu Mo and Zero.

Xu Mo could also see it clearly, the opposite party was determined to take him down, the outco would be the sa no matter how he chose. Probably, the decision was made the mont the opposite party arrived here.

“Bishop, this is the Governor’s Mansion, give so face, will you?” Lan Jue’s tone also gradually beca less polite. The Church is too presumptuous, treating the Governor’s Mansion like what place?

“Since the Governor says so, I’ll wait outside the Governor’s Mansion,” Solan said. He just wanted control of the Governor’s Mansion, but didn’t want to completely fall out with it. The Church maintains surface cordial relations with the republic and the Empire.

Solan and his party left, but Lan Jue’s brows remained tightly knit. He spoke to Xu Mo, “Mr. Xu Mo, Solan must have his eye on your warship and wanted to take it, thus finding an excuse to deal with you.”

“Hmm,” Xu Mo nodded.

“Solan is a powerhouse, and the Church’s people have generally strong combat power. Mr. Xu Mo, you…” Lan Jue was sowhat worried. Moreover, Solan pressed down under the guise of the Church, putting Xu Mo at a disadvantage. The only option was to escape to the warship and activate it to leave.
