Chapter 792: Chapter 132 Blue Star Association
Xu Mo knew the course of events.
Nilo had always been savage and insane; only he would commit such an act. Had it been any other prince, they wouldn’t have made a move.
Prince Charles was there at the ti, watching without intervening. Lucas Star didn’t inquire about the incident either. Although it was common for deaths to occur in the chanical God Arena, it was clear that the Baloma Kingdom ca with the explicit intent to kill.
However, this was also normal. Given the current relationship between him and Lucas Star, the Lucas Star Federation Governnt hadn’t acted against the Blue Star Energy Technology Group only because they had reservations; the disadvantages outweighed the advantages. As for helping them, it clearly wasn’t very realistic.
Xu Mo didn’t expect the Lucas Star Federation Governnt to do anything for them in the first place.
He first contacted Ize and Carter; after understanding so basic details, he then reached out to quite a few people, planning to et with everyone first.
In a top-tier noble restaurant at the Lucas Star Capital, on the top floor, one could see the spectacular cityscape of Lucas Capital through the floor-to-ceiling glass.
The Blue Star Energy Technology Group had booked the place.
In front of a dining table, Xu Mo quietly sat waiting. Then, a figure approached, it was Elizabeth.
Seeing Xu Mo, Elizabeth walked towards the window, then sat down opposite him. She looked at Xu Mo and asked, “Did you attack Byron Star?”
“Yes,” Xu Mo nodded. Elizabeth knew about this, which likely ant that all parties were aware by now.
“Your actions have stirred up so trouble. Camp Star has requested that the Star System Alliance sanction you and the Blue Star Energy Technology Group and even proposed confiscating the Blue Star Energy Technology Group. Be careful,” Elizabeth warned.
“I know,” Xu Mo nodded. “You don’t need to worry about this end. I heard from Ize and Carter that you’ve been unwell recently.”
The news that King Richard wanted to arrange a marriage between Elizabeth and the Prins Kingdom was known even to Ize and Carter; this information had obviously leaked from the Royal Family, which was quite intriguing.
If the Royal Family didn’t have such intentions, they wouldn’t have let the news out.
This indicated that this ti, the Royal Family might indeed be serious.
Elizabeth’s eyelids drooped slightly when she heard Xu Mo, appearing a bit dejected. She bowed her head slightly, seemingly reluctant to discuss the topic. She understood that this ti, her father was serious.
In the past, although King Richard had similar thoughts, he had always respected her wishes and would drop the matter as long as she disagreed. But this ti, perhaps due to previous events, her father, King Richard, was sowhat dissatisfied with her and entertained such thoughts.
“If you don’t want to comply with the Royal Family’s arrangents, you might need to resist His Majesty the King,” Xu Mo continued. Elizabeth clearly understood this, which was why she had been very restless recently.
But the problem she was facing now was that if she didn’t resist, it was highly likely that she would beco a political sacrifice, her father’s political bargaining chip.
“Elizabeth, I need to know your thoughts, it’s important,” Xu Mo said. “I’ve always considered you a friend, but I have also indeed used you before, trying to influence you, to make you strive for power. If you want to return to King Richard’s side and reconcile, I will support your decision.”
If Elizabeth chose to return to King Richard, she would necessarily need to draw a clear line with the Blue Star Energy Technology Group. The conflict had arisen because of him, and the relationship between the Lucas Star Federation and the Blue Star Energy Technology Group was unlikely to nd.
For Elizabeth, it was a decision to be made.
Hearing Xu Mo’s words, Elizabeth knew it was ti to make a decision: whether to return to the Royal Family, quietly be an obedient princess, accept fate’s arrangents, and regain King Richard’s trust.
Or beco rebellious, resist fate, and fight for her own power.
It was a difficult choice. If she chose the forr, she would go against her heart and would no longer be herself.
Choosing the latter, she might fall out with her father.
“What do you hope that I choose?” Elizabeth asked Xu Mo.
“You want the truth?” Xu Mo asked.
“Yes,” Elizabeth looked at Xu Mo, still trusting him in her heart.
“You belong to no one but yourself,” Xu Mo said to Elizabeth. “I’m a selfish person—given a choice, whoever asks to sacrifice myself, I will tell them to keep their distance.”
Xu Mo always believed that love should be mutual. If soone tries to blackmail you emotionally, asking for your sacrifice, then it ans they don’t have much affection for you. If so, why should you sacrifice?
King Richard intended to sacrifice Elizabeth for the stability of his power, showing that even within the royal family of Lucas Star, affection could be equally thin.
“What should I do then?” Elizabeth asked. She had no power. How could she fight for it from scratch?
There wasn’t a glimr of opportunity.
“Maintain your relationship with King Richard, he is still your father, expand your influence in Lucas Star, even throughout the Star System Alliance, and most importantly, don’t make mistakes, but wait for an opportunity,” Xu Mo suggested. Power was entirely in King Richard’s hands; he would grant it to whom he wished. In such a case, actively fighting for it was impossible.
Therefore, one must be passive, expand influence, avoid mistakes, and wait for Prince Charles to slip up.
