Chapter 538: Chapter 12 Misunderstandings Mom Has About

Sal seed to be looking for a book, and Xu Mo didn’t initiate conversation, still quietly reading his own.

“Do you have any materials on the Anos Clan?” Sal asked.

Xu Mo was startled and looked towards Sal.

“Yes,” he nodded.

“Bring it to ,” Sal said.

“Alright.” Xu Mo didn’t mind; he had learned from Ize and the others that Sal had secured first place in the freshn competition, defeating Elizabeth.

As a mber of the Sasi Kingdom’s Royal Family, Sal was probably used to giving orders.

Shortly after, Xu Mo brought over a book about the Anos Clan and handed it to Sal. He had read it himself; as a mber of the Anos Clan, he naturally wanted to understand his own heritage first.

Sal quietly read through it, skimming ten lines at a glance. After a while, he spoke, “The book doesn’t ntion the cunning and wisdom of the Anos Clan.”

“A clan is a whole, but each person is an individual. While individuals may carry the characteristics of their clan, it’s not unusual for them to also possess their own personal style,” Xu Mo said. “The book describes the Sasi Kingdom’s Royal Family as a barbaric royalty skilled in conquest. So, Your Excellency, do you see it that way?”

Sal nodded.

“The Tard people are sneaky and despicable; I never would have thought they’d be outwitted by you,” Sal remarked, having seen Xu Mo get Ross to sign an agreent earlier and surmising sothing from it.

The cunning Tard people, not usually caught at a disadvantage, had suffered a significant setback, completely duped, perhaps because Ross was young and got conned.

“It’s ‘friendly’ cooperation,” Xu Mo replied.

“You, an Anos Clan mber, outwitting the Tard people—what are you trying to do?” Sal asked. “Are you after money?”

The Tard people were most adept at acquiring wealth.

Therefore, the purpose of outmaneuvering the Tard people was, of course, to gain wealth.

“Of course.” Xu Mo admitted unabashedly—the mbers of the Royal Family were unaware of worldly suffering.

“Join the Sasi Kingdom and you can have as much as you want, whether it’s fa or beautiful won, there is no problem,” Sal stated.

Xu Mo looked at Sal.

So, Sal had co for him specifically?

Earlier, Yekaterina had attempted to recruit him, and now Sal, a mber of Sasi Kingdom’s Royal Family, had also taken notice of him, the librarian.

Unfortunately, what he wanted, Sal could not give.

“Why is the Sasi Kingdom’s Royal Family seeking to recruit a mber of the Anos Clan?” Xu Mo asked curiously.

“The Sasi Kingdom wants to develop and needs talent,” Sal said, which was one of the reasons he ca to study at Lucas University. At Lucas University, talents from various domains from different planets within the Star System Alliance gathered, all worth recruiting to beco part of the Sasi Kingdom in the future.

Talent is a powerful competitive force. To keep advancing, the Kingdom needed outstanding individuals from various fields.

He had heard of Xu Mo. Not having paid much attention before, he observed the progress of Carter and Ize – they had indeed improved considerably. Xu Mo clearly had real skills and knowledge.

This visit coincided with seeing Xu Mo subdue a Tard person. It appeared the librarian had ambition and was clearly not satisfied with just being a librarian.

“Alright then,” Xu Mo said. “Give a legion from the Sasi Kingdom, I need to return to Anos.”

Sal frowned.

A legion?

Was Xu Mo joking with him?

He recognized Xu Mo’s value, but a gifted librarian asking for a legion?

Sal stared at Xu Mo, put down the book he was holding, and took steps towards Xu Mo, “You approach the nobles of Lucas Star and control the Delta people. What does a refugee from the war-torn Anos Clan want to do?”

As he spoke, he released a forceful energy, instantly enveloping the area in a formidable Energy Field. Sal, like a transford Giant, created a virtual silhouette of a War God around him, tall and majestic, walking step by step towards Xu Mo.

In the cramped space between bookshelves, Xu Mo had no room to evade. With a book still in his left hand, he turned to face the advancing Sal. The oppressive force was extrely intense, as if it were demanding his submission.

The ferocious Sal, unlike Ize and Carter, had an extrely dominant and tyrannical character as a mber of the Sasi Kingdom’s Royal Family.

Xu Mo furrowed his brow, feeling the intense pressure from Sal.

A surge of spiritual power erupted from him; Xu Mo watched the approaching Sal, stretching out his right hand and lightly gesturing in his direction.

“Back off.”

Xu Mo’s voice was deep, resonating in Sal’s mind as if it exploded within. Simultaneously, his outstretched right hand seed to possess Magic Power, creating an Energy Wall that, though seemingly gentle, stopped Sal’s advance, forcing him to step back.

The bookshelves quivered, creaking loudly.

Sal’s eyes widened as Xu Mo forced him to retreat.

However, the Energy Field remained terrifying, like an invisible wall blocking his path. In this narrow space, it was difficult to advance even one step.

The shaking of the bookshelves grew more violent, and several books fell from the shelves.

“What’s going on?”

Soone from elsewhere spoke in a low voice, walking in this direction. Sal then retracted his energy presence.

By the ti people arrived, they found Sal standing quietly, while Xu Mo, with his head down, was picking up the books that had fallen to the ground, placing them back on the shelves one by one.
