Chapter 52: Chapter 48 One Year

One year later.

The order in the Underworld was as usual, as if nothing had ever changed.

Throughout the year, Xu Mo discovered that the Underworld was hardly a world at all. It wasn’t vast, more fittingly called the Underground City, but it was extrely densely populated.

He guessed that this place had once been a shelter where the elites enslaved the minds of the Underworld’s people, brainwashing them.

The main urban area of the city-state was likely the central region of the Underworld. From here, it likely led to the magnificent steel city he had seen above.

Entertainnt options in the main urban area were more abundant than in other areas, and the public order was relatively better as well.

Even at night, many lights remained on, with plenty of people active outside.

The main urban area housed a street where the lighting was dimr, yet it was exceptionally lively.

The sounds of music and clamor intermingled, with drunkards seen passed out on the ground.

This street was the main urban area’s bar street.

In one bar, dim lighting and soothing music made it very comfortable.

It was often filled with won, as the bartender was very good-looking.

He appeared to be around sixteen or seventeen, about six feet tall, with bright eyes and short hair, carrying a very pleasant deanor.

Moreover, he was a magical bartender.

Lady Hellen, at thirty, was voluptuous and scented lightly with perfu, sitting at the bar in a deep V-neck top. The bartender could see the white cleavage whenever he looked down.

Next to her, a young man serving drinks and appetizers glanced over at Lady Hellen, eyes trailing down to her full arms.

The young man looked enviously at the bartender who was mixing drinks.

Lady Hellen was also watching him. As the bartender poured the drink into her glass, the liquid montarily paused mid-air. Lady Hellen looked down to see that indeed, nothing had flowed into her glass.

Then the pouring resud. Lady Hellen rested her chin on one hand, her eyes suggestively fixed on the bartender, “It’s no wonder you’re a magical bartender. How do you do it?”

“Lady Hellen, if I were to tell you, I might just put myself out of a job,” the bartender smiled as he replied.

Lady Hellen smiled lightly, her right hand pulling out a hundred-Federation-dollar bill, her slender fingers trailing it along the bartender’s chin as she softly asked, “Are you free tonight?”

“Lady Hellen, besides working, I still have to tidy up the bar this evening,” the bartender replied with a smile.

“Then rember to look for when you do have ti,” Lady Hellen said gently, taking a small sip from her glass. She then blew a breath at the bartender, her light perfu mingling with the scent of the alcohol, intoxicating him.

Seeing the bartender’s slightly flushed face, Lady Hellen smiled and turned to walk out of the bar.

Standing next to the bartender, a young man with envious eyes followed her swaying hips, “Brother Mo, if you’re busy, I’m free.”

This young man was Xiao Qi, and naturally, the bartender was Xu Mo.

Xu Mo ignored him; the kid was just being a typical teenager.

“Tsk tsk, such a figure, even more explosive than Sister Butterfly. It’s just my type,” Xiao Qi remarked.

“Is it?”

A voice ca from nearby as Ye Qingdie stood there with a smile. Xiao Qi shrank back, saying, “Of course, Sister Butterfly’s figure is the most ideal, perfect type, Brother Mo’s favorite.”

“???”

Xu Mo looked at Xiao Qi beside him.

Ye Qingdie gave him a sharp look, moving forward to pull Xiao Qi away, who obediently scurried off.

“How about I give you the night off?” Ye Qingdie asked playfully.

Xu Mo shook his head.

“Such a great figure, aren’t you considering it?” Ye Qingdie teased with a suggestive smile.

“I prefer the older sister type,” Xu Mo glanced at Ye Qingdie, “like Sister Butterfly here.”

“Really?” Ye Qingdie looked at him, “Then when will you be free?”

“Now!” Xu Mo responded.

“Good, then wash the clothes I just changed out of,” Ye Qingdie said with a light laugh.

“…” Xu Mo said, “I just rembered I still need to attend to custors.”

“Hah, n,” Ye Qingdie said disdainfully.

As they spoke, a graceful figure walked into the bar. She kept her head slightly lowered as she made her way toward a corner table.

Ye Qingdie looked in that direction, whispering, “The main urban area really has so many beauties.”

Xiao Qi rushed forward to ask her order. The woman didn’t seem to know much about drinks, letting Xiao Qi decide.

Xiao Qi returned to Xu Mo with a shrug, “Brother Mo, she said to choose anything, so it’s up to you.”

Xu Mo looked over there, his gaze revealing a strange expression, thinking the world really is small.

However, he had not found Master Batu and Miss Mia yet, and wondered if she had t them.

Xu Mo mixed two drinks with very low alcohol content. Xiao Qi was about to take them but heard Xu Mo say in a low voice, “I’ll go.”

Saying this, Xu Mo left the bar and walked over to her.

Xiao Qi was puzzled, and Ye Qingdie also looked in that direction, feeling the woman seed sowhat familiar but couldn’t rember where she had seen her.

Could it be that Xu Mo knew her?

The woman seed preoccupied and did not notice anything, even as Xu Mo approached her.

“Miss, may I offer you a drink?” Xu Mo began.

The woman looked up displeased, but her expression imdiately turned to surprise upon seeing a handso face.

Her face lit up with excitent, about to speak but seemingly recalled sothing that made her mood drop again. She spoke softly, “Xu Mo, long ti no see.”
