Byron Star Capital, Spaceport.
A flying device landed on one of the platforms at the spaceport, and as the hatch opened, people began to erge.
Gasps of amazent wafted through the air as the disembarking students looked up at the imnse spaceport, hearts pounding with excitent.
There were many large flying devices here.
Byron Star had long achieved interstellar travel, and many of the flying devices at the spaceport ca and went to other planets.
"Let’s go," said an elder among the students, and the group made their way through the platform’s corridor and out of the spaceport.
Outside the spaceport, there was a vast pick-up platform bustling with nurous vehicles.
The vehicle from the Extraordinary Academy had also arrived.
"Xu Mo, Stark hasn’t arrived yet?" Su Rou stepped forward and asked.
"Wait a bit; you guys go on ahead," Xu Mo said, knowing that guy didn’t look very reliable.
Su Rou and the others were on their way to the Extraordinary Academy for an exchange learning program; they weren’t traveling the sa path as him.
"Brother Xu Mo, we’ll contact you after we settle in," Sun Xiaoxiao said.
"Xu Mo, keep in touch," Leng Qiu also said.
"Alright," Xu Mo nodded, and one by one, Su Rou and the rest boarded the vehicles. Lin Jue and Olivia also gave Xu Mo a glance before they too got into the Extraordinary Academy’s vehicles and drove away.
"It’s truly magnificent," Xiao Qi said, curiously examining the towering buildings in the distance.
The Capital’s skyline gave Xu Mo a greater sense of the future world. In the wake of a great disaster, Byron Star had concentrated human strength in the cities centered around the Capital, rapidly growing and developing.
Here, the most elite of Byron Star converged, along with their wisdom.
Although belonging to the sa Federation, the city cluster centered around the Capital and Steel Do City were sowhat disjoint, like different countries in his previous life, with huge gaps between them.
At that mont, a private flying device landed on an open space up ahead.
After it ca to a halt, a man wearing sunglasses hopped out, his gaze searching for sothing.
Xu Mo saw him through the sunglasses at a glance and walked over.
"How is it, impressive enough?" Stark Hao, seeing Xu Mo approaching, pushed his sunglasses up onto his forehead.
Xu Mo took in his outfit for the day, a white casual suit that scread flamboyance.
"Otherwise, how would it suit your status?" Xu Mo said.
"Smooth talker," Stark complinted, "Climb aboard."
Xu Mo and his party climbed onto the flying device one after another.
Though it was a small flying device, it still had eight seats. Xu Mo’s group, along with Yaoer, made exactly eight people; Yaoer didn’t need to take up a seat.
The flying device took off, weaving through the city skies.
Xu Mo and the others looked out the window, seeing nurous flying devices shuttling through the air, a magnificent sight, and the crowds below had grown accustod to it.
Ye Qingdie looked at everything outside, feeling sowhat surreal.
From the Underworld to Steel Do City, and now, they had co to the Capital of Byron Star.
All of this, a bit like a dream.
"Didn’t you tell your girlfriend?" Stark suddenly said.
As his words trailed off, the air in the flying device beca abruptly tense.
Stark noticed several pairs of eyes fixed on him, giving him an odd feeling.
There seed to be several beautiful girls on board the flying device.
Stark gave Xu Mo a aningful look, as if he’d understood sothing.
"Female friend," Stark clarified.
"Yes, female friend."
However, the more he explained, the darker it seed to get.
He even shot Xu Mo a sowhat smug look.
"Which true love have you encountered this ti?" Xu Mo did not bite on Stark’s topic and instead changed the subject.
"Jerk!" Stark realized Xu Mo was deflecting and understood.
He may have often found love, but it was always in different periods. He only pursued a new relationship after the previous one had ended.
"I’ll tell you later," Stark said mysteriously.
"Where are we headed now?" Xu Mo asked.
"To the vicinity of my academy. I have two sets of accommodations there. You guys can stay in one for now; it will make it convenient for you to find ..." Stark began, but it seed he recalled sothing and said, "Convenient for our chats."
"Alright," Xu Mo nodded, "thanks."
Although he seldom expressed it, Xu Mo knew that Stark had helped him a lot; the debt of gratitude was getting quite large.
Stark looked at Xu Mo sowhat strangely; the guy had actually said the word "thanks."
"No worries, just pledge your allegiance to in the future. I love acquiring underlings," Stark said.
"Screw off..." Xu Mo got goosebumps, wondering if this guy had so unsavory habits.
His gaze shifted outside to the ground below, where there was a vast and tumultuous protest underway, prompting his curiosity: "Are they protesting sothing?"
Even the Capital had its conflicts, and it seed quite intense.
"The mayor of Chuanxing City in the Capital introduced a series of policies favoring aliens, encouraging alien investnt, immigration, or long-term residence, which has elevated the status of aliens in Chuanxing City. The local citizens feel like they’re becoming second class, causing strong public discontent with growing calls for the mayor to step down," Stark explained to Xu Mo.
Xu Mo didn’t say much, as he was still unfamiliar with everything in the Capital and not in a position to make a judgnt.
"After years of recuperation, Byron Star has gradually strengthened in all aspects, and the confidence of the citizens has also increased, so they don’t want to see aliens receiving special treatnt," Stark continued. "In the Capital, there are human beings from other alien planets, and indeed, so of them are a cut above the rest, and even so will trample on the laws of Chuanxing City by flaunting the power of their ho planets."
