Capítulo 1297: Chapter 56: War

On the Republic Capital Star of the O’Brien Republic, this once bustling planet is now in chaos.

After a century of turmoil in the post-imperial era, Osman O’Brian unified the O’Brien Republic, and the O’Brien Star was designated as the Capital Star. Since then, the O’Brien Star has experienced rapid developnt and centuries of peace.

Even though many planets of the O’Brien Republic were threatened by war during the conflict with the Kales Empire, the citizens of the Capital Star didn’t feel much, because they knew they were on the Capital Star where it’s extrely safe.

No matter how powerful the Kales Empire is, they cannot penetrate the Capital Star.

But no one expected that the cosmic situation would deteriorate so drastically, with earth-shattering changes occurring every day.

So suddenly, the entire planet is facing a trendous disaster.

Now, news has spread to various places on the Capital Star that the alliance of the five major top forces in the universe has surrounded the Capital Star and issued an ultimatum. If the O’Brien Republic does not surrender, they will face annihilation.

In the face of a huge threat, the people have plunged into intense panic. For the vast majority of ordinary people, survival is the most important, but now everyone’s life is threatened.

For a ti, there was unrest among people, and many even voiced the hope that the leader would accept surrender.

On the streets of the Capital Star, many people started demonstrating.

As the situation evolves, many voices suggest handing over the forces led by Xu Mo, forming alliances with Lin, Saint Tiya Star, and others to maintain cosmic order.

The incident in Asgard reached the O’Brien Star. Many believe that forces represented by Xu Mo are those of the Old Empire, and Lin and others are more interested in them. As long as they are handed over, everything can be peacefully resolved, avoiding war, and the Capital Star can be preserved.

In the Mystic God Temple, Xu Mo and Vera naturally heard these voices too.

So even went to the Capital Star Ao Temple, demanding that the Mystic God Temple separate from Xu Mo and cooperate with the republic to protect the safety of the Capital Star.

Xu Mo is a prodigiously talented Transcendent, a descendant of the Emperor, but to the citizens of the O’Brien Capital Star, Xu Mo is just a na. How does it compare to their lives?

As for the Old Empire, what is that? What does it have to do with them? They just want to survive.

This ti, if the Capital Star is breached, the planet will be destroyed, and they will all die.

This is a war in the universe, where the opposing fleet has the power to destroy planets.

On the roof of a building in the Mystic God Temple, Xu Mo stood there, watching the people outside rally and shout. Although blocked by mbers of the Mystic God Temple, they continued to rush forward.

Under imnse panic, humans’ standpoints easily change.

“This is just a part of the people, Junior Brother Xu Mo, don’t mind,” Vera stood beside Xu Mo, whispering to him.

“Mind what?” Xu Mo said casually. He could understand these people’s actions; everyone has the right to survive. He has little to do with the O’Brien Republic, as he is not of the republic himself.

The threat of war is imminent, and it’s no surprise this is happening; he went through it many years ago.

“These people are truly insolent, daring to storm the Mystic God Temple,” Vera spoke with a frown. Although she urged Xu Mo not to care, she found the behavior still distasteful.

“Because they know the Mystic God Temple won’t kill them, whereas the forces outside the planet will,” said Xu Mo.

Vera was stunned by Xu Mo’s words; it was indeed sowhat ironic.

“Hmm?”

While they were talking, suddenly, a starship approached from above, appearing in the sky over the Mystic God Temple, causing both Xu Mo and Vera to frown.

Within the Mystic God Temple, figures erged, nurous fully-ard Transcendents of the Mystic God Temple floated in the air, looking upwards.

“It’s the official power of the republic,” soone in the Mystic God Temple frowned and said.

Vera’s frown deepened; she naturally also noticed it was the official power of the republic.

In recent years, the Mystic God Temple has officially cooperated with the republic to jointly combat external threats, and such a situation shouldn’t happen, yet it has occurred at this mont.

However, no one exited the starship above, nor was there any movent.

“I’ll ask,” Vera said, walking to the side to dial her father’s communication number.

anwhile, in the O’Brian Palace.

Osman O’Brian raised an eyebrow upon hearing the report from the person beside him, a fierce look suddenly flashing in his eyes.

Outside, a group of figures simultaneously stepped out. After entering the O’Brian Palace, they bowed to Osman and said, “Leader.”

The leader was an elder, wearing the O’Brian Republic uniform, over which was a cloak symbolizing the O’Brian family. This elder was a senior of Osman.

Osman glanced at the figures appearing in the hall and roughly understood what had happened. He spoke: “Uncle, is there sothing you need?”

“Leader.” The newcor looked up at Osman and spoke: “The five major alliance fleets led by the Lin family are in space outside the Capital Star, ready to launch an attack at any mont. Judging by the fleet’s formation, the defensive system of the Capital Star likely won’t withstand it. Once it’s breached, the population of several trillion will face annihilation.”

“Uncle, you can speak directly,” Osman said.

“With the powerful forces of Lin and the Church, why not stand with their side?” The newcor spoke: “Since the other side is willing to negotiate, as long as the conditions aren’t excessive, it might be possible to agree. What Lin, the Church, and other forces want more is Xu Mo and Gaia; Xu Mo should be in the Mystic God Temple. If we persuade the Temple to separate from Xu Mo and hand him over, then negotiate, perhaps the population of the Capital Star can be saved.”

“Are you doing this for the humans of O’Brian Star or for yourself? If the negotiation conditions require sacrificing you, what would you think?” Osman continued.

Upon hearing the change in Osman’s address, the newcor’s expression changed and he replied, “Osman, you single-handedly founded the O’Brian Republic and made the O’Brian family stand at the pinnacle of the universe, becoming a formidable force. Could it be that now you’re really willing to gamble, even if not for the citizens of O’Brian Star, you must consider the family? Once defeated, regardless of whether the other side destroys O’Brian Star, the family will inevitably perish.”

“So, that’s why you privately mobilized the warship to head to the Mystic God Temple?” Osman O’Brian’s invisible pressure erupted, instantly making his figure appear incredibly large, oppressing the newcor.

The newcor’s face changed color and he bowed, saying, “Leader, everything I did was for the O’Brian family.”

“What’s the penalty for privately mobilizing the warship?” Osman asked the person beside him.

“Death penalty,” the person replied.

“Take them down and publicly execute them. All involved will be taken down. All rebellious actions will be suppressed with iron fist,” Osman said. “Also, hold a press conference. I will announce to all citizens of O’Brian Star that we will live and die with O’Brian Star.”

“Yes, Leader.” The person beside him bowed.

“Osman…” That person’s face turned pale as he looked at him and shouted, “Will you ignore the survival of the family?”

“Fool.”

Osman walked past him, directly ignoring him, while the people behind him moved forward to take the newcor down.

Walking out of the O’Brian Palace, Osman looked outside.

Hundreds of years ago, he single-handedly created the republic.

Now, the republic faces a crisis of survival.

But he knew clearly that this wasn’t a problem that could be solved by handing over one or two people. The Lin family, the Church, and the Saint Tiya Star’s goal wasn’t just Xu Mo and Gaia; they were rely obstacles in their path to dominance, a potential threat in the future, so they decided to eliminate them.

As for him and the O’Brian family, the process of domination might have temporary peace, but the result is the sa: winner takes all.

Surrendering or being conquered, the failure’s ending is the sa.

Moreover, that idiot actually wants to touch Xu Mo in the Mystic God Temple?

If the Mystic God Temple could be conquered with power, it would’ve already been under the O’Brian Republic’s control.

The O’Brian Republic Leader’s speech to all citizens declared that they would live and die with O’Brian Star. The O’Brian Republic would spare no effort to resist the invasion, vowing not to yield for the glory of the republic.

Disturbances in various places were suppressed, starships above the Mystic God Temple retreated, and outsiders coming to protest were expelled.

Yet the storm continued to brew, everyone’s hearts were tense, and no one knew what the future would bring.

At the Mystic God Temple, Xu Mo and others watched Osman’s speech, feeling slight ripples in their hearts.

Above O’Brian Republic’s sky, starships continuously set sail towards the space station. At the sa ti, all defensive systems on the planet were activated. They would use all available power to win this war.

In the distant cosmos.

In the boundless, endless universe, a starship traversed through space, appearing particularly lonely, although this starship was extrely large, it was alone in the vast space.

Inside the starship, in the command room, the figure of a host appeared here.

He looked at the screen, where war footage was playing. Forces like the Lin family officially launched an attack on O’Brian’s Capital Star, and on the screen, the entire space lit up. Across an extrely long distance, the firepower from both sides covered the sky and the earth, engulfing a vast space region, the scene was extrely shocking.

“The war has started.”

The host, knowing naturally all about what happened in O’Brian Republic, was aware that the war had broken out, putting the entire republic under great threat. Skull Star was similarly threatened, and whether the other side had split forces towards Skull Star hadn’t been confird, but it was an inevitable event.

“Proceed at maximum speed,” the host instructed.

In the deep space, the base alone traversed through the universe, heading towards the target.
