Capítulo 1204: Chapter 249: In My Lifeti

The ground beca more distant, as two steel figures ignored the gravity of Asgard Planet and surged outward into space.

Xu Mo’s speed was like a light, but even so, he couldn’t shake off the opponent, and the distance was still closing. The Hunter constantly fired destructive ‘Light Swords’ from its eyes. Xu Mo had to continually dodge the opponent’s attacks while advancing upward in a curve.

“How is it, can you handle it?” Gaia’s voice ca through Xu Mo’s Battle Armor as he maintained a high-speed movent while communicating with Gaia.

“Shouldn’t be a problem as long as I don’t clash head-on,” Xu Mo responded, “But I don’t know how long I can hold out, you need to hurry on your side.”

“Alright, I’m about to reach the Star Ring. Be careful,” Gaia replied.

“Okay.” Xu Mo ended the call, his figure streaked by, leaving a violent sonic boom in the air, the sound unable to keep pace with their speed.

Yet even so, the opponent continued the pursuit.

“Buzz…” A column of destructive light shot out from the opponent’s chest, the terrifying heat like a forging furnace. Xu Mo moved sideways, drawing an arc to turn, and unleashed Domain Power, transforming the area into a thunderous world.

“Boom.”

A domineering fist ca crashing down, and when the punch was launched, a beam of Energy Light appeared in the air, slamming forward with seemingly millions of tons of weight. Xu Mo maneuvered with the thunder, skimming past the opponent’s fist, which shattered a mirage left behind.

Yet Xu Mo’s figure had already appeared behind the opponent, continuing on swiftly.

He could roughly deduce that the Hunter was likely a chanical Body lifeform, with no one inside, purely executing a hunting task against him.

For this powerful chanical Body, Xu Mo’s objective was not to fight but rely to stall the opponent.

Since they had confird Fred as the founder of the Star Ring and the opponent’s actions indicated their stance, the following matters beca much simpler.

At this mont, below them, various figures also charged into the sky, people from various forces ‘spectating’ the scene. Xu Mo and the Hunter ascended high beyond visibility from below, so others tried to follow, yet struggled to keep up and gradually fell behind.

As a result, so simply piloted starships and UFOs to trail, locking onto and tracking those two figures.

At the sa ti, the Star Ring.

Everything here remained as though nothing had happened.

The workers of the Star Ring were orderly busy with their tasks. Of course, this was not the core area of the Star Ring, the real core was in the Star Ring Laboratory.

At this mont, a figure approached the Star Ring, clad in Battle Armor, helted, face unseen.

Two figures moved forward, but the next mont, a terrifying spiritual power invaded their minds instantly, and this terrifying power invaded the entire interior of the Star Ring, entering everyone’s minds.

Instantly, the two walking towards him stood aside, and the people inside just watched the intruder enter as if nothing happened; no one restrained him.

In fact, soone stepped forward to unlock another passageway door for him.

The approaching figure entered as if it were his own ho, leisurely walking step by step into the Star Ring’s interior, passing through strictly guarded check-points, leisurely reaching the center area of the Star Ring Company.

The horror of top-level spiritual power cultivators was that they could directly control people, leaving not even a single person to give a warning upon invasion.

And Gaia was undoubtedly one of such spiritual power cultivators.

He entered the interior of the Star Ring Company as if entering no man’s land; not only did no one stop him, they even actively opened doors and allowed him to step by step enter the Core Land of the Star Ring.

In Bern’s office, he was still staring at the screen, watching the Hunter pursue Xu Mo, as both had already broken out from Asgard and into space.

The battle footage relayed back, displaying on the screen, Bern’s gaze was indifferent; he was curious to see how long Xu Mo could continue dodging and whether the person behind him should make a move?

Or rather, did he co to Asgard alone?

At this mont, the office door was pushed open, and soone entered directly.

Bern heard the sound and frowned, slowly shifting his gaze and speaking coldly, “Who is so unruly…”

The mont he finished speaking, he noticed sothing wrong, seeing that the figure who entered was not part of the Star Ring staff but a fully ard Battle Armor figure.

In that instant, Bern’s mind paused montarily, as if not yet comprehending.

“Boom…”

In the next mont, a terrifying Divine Domain Power enveloped the office, falling over Bern, and an exceedingly powerful spiritual force instantly invaded his mind.

Bern’s face changed dramatically, under the Divine Domain, his expression twisted, eyes filled with shock, astonishnt, anger, and other emotions.

He just thought about the person behind Xu Mo, and soon after, the person behind them appeared, but not on the battlefield, instead appeared here, just like that, right in front of him??

“You…” Bern wanted to speak.

“Boom.”

His mind was severely struck, he groaned, face ashen, and in the next instant, Bern realized his mory was being invaded, the opponent’s terrifying spiritual power wantonly ravaged his mind.

All this gave him no ti to react.

Gaia extended his hand, and Bern’s body imdiately flew up, suspended in the air. He seed to be choked by an invisible hand, showing a pained expression.

“Make it stop the attack and return.” Gaia’s voice sounded in Bern’s mind.

Bern’s body moved in front of the screen and then gave the Hunter an instruction. At this mont, he was under control and did not dare to resist. Whatever he did, Gaia knew clearly, including his thoughts at that very mont.

“Mr. Gaia.”

A voice appeared in Bern’s mind. Clearly, he had guessed Gaia’s identity.

“You are outrageous.” Gaia’s icy voice echoed in his mind. The next mont, his body flew directly towards Gaia, his neck gripped by a chanical arm, then he was thrown out, violently crashing onto the wall, making Bern’s body stick to the wall, embedded within it, unable to move.

“Schlei.”

Gaia learned of a na from Bern’s mind, an old acquaintance of his.

Bern was precisely the one discussing with him.

At this mont, Bern had no secrets from Gaia, including what he had done and all his thoughts.

Bern’s thoughts were also quite simple. The Empire had already collapsed, and they were no longer under any restrictions. Now that the Star Ring had established such a foundation in Asgard, how could they easily abandon it to surrender to others?

Clearly, that was an impossible thing.

Therefore, he sent out the Hunter.

But similarly, this matter was actually simple for Gaia as well. Fred’s team belonged to the Empire’s scientific research team. They ca here to recall the other party to serve as descendants of the Empire again.

He wasn’t sure whether they could succeed.

For Gaia, I ca to find you, and you can refuse, but how dare Bern send the Hunter to kill?

Given this, the nature of this matter changed.

So, he ca directly here.

However, in Bern’s mory, Fred, the true core person of the team, did not know about this matter. Otherwise, Gaia might not have been so ‘polite’ now.

“Laboratory.”

Gaia discovered information about Fred in his mind. Fred, as the team leader, left the external affairs of the Star Ring to Schlei.

As for himself, he still imrsed himself in scientific research.

……

At this mont, in the Star Ring Core Laboratory, outsiders could neither find it nor reach it.

Inside the laboratory, Fred stood before a screen, displaying a space map with a model of a huge star body.

Just as Gaia had seen, as the Empire’s top scientist, Fred’s obsession with scientific research surpassed everything else. He was a true technophile.

For him, science was the aning of life, higher than life itself.

So he rarely involved himself in external affairs.

In fact, if it weren’t for research funding, he wouldn’t even produce those auctioned weapons, as having enough defensive equipnt was sufficient.

It’s just that scientific research required too much funding to maintain operations, which led to the existence of the Star Ring.

For Fred, the Star Ring did not carry much significance, only serving as a funding tool, and nothing more. Therefore, he was not really interested in the Star Ring.

His real goal was the scene in front of him right now.

That star was not like those in the universe; its outer layer was completely covered with a chanical Body, resembling an enormous Starship.

For centuries, although the Empire was gone, Fred had never forgotten the Super Base plan.

This was not because of his loyalty to the Empire, but because of his passion for science.

Even the na of the Star Ring was derived from this matter. The Super Base plan, internally, was also referred to as the Star Ring project.

Using the star as a base to build a movable Cosmic Fortress that could wander the universe at will, explore the boundless cosmos, and face any crisis in the Universe.

For Fred, this plan was like his mission.

However, centuries later today, the plan still hadn’t truly comnced, but he had completed many preparations for this plan, including the necessary technology and an imnse data foundation.

But even so, the Super Base plan remained a distant dream.

Firstly, to complete the plan, it required the cooperation of an entire planetary population to act with him, but as of now, he couldn’t achieve this. He needed to govern a planet and have its people unconditionally support the Super Base plan for it to be feasible.

Every ti he saw the magnificent model, Fred would sigh, “Within my lifeti!”
