With the dinner finished, Kael walked down the hallway of the mansion, heading to his room with urgency in his step.
However, before he could co anywhere close to his room, he heard running footsteps and shouts behind him.
"Hey, wait a mont, Kael!"
Finn chased after him, caught up to him, and Kael turned around with a puzzled expression.
"Yes, Finn?"
If it was anything related to hanging out or alchemy, Kael was just going to reject whatever Finn was going to suggest.
"We have Miss Angelica's class tomorrow. It's a class related to cursed objects. However, there is a problem with her."
Finn said with a wry smile.
"Problem? And that is?"
Kael asked curiously.
"She has an imnsely sensitive nose, and she won't teach if there is even any unpleasant sll in the classroom.
"Therefore, always, the day before her classes, we must take a bath, so I and the rest of the boys are heading over to the boys bathhouse to clean up."
Finn said.
"Really…? Can I take it tomorrow morning?"
Kael asked.
"The bathhouse won't have any warm water left, but if you'd rather bathe in ice-cold water, be my guest."
Finn said.
"Hmm, fine… I'll co with you."
Kael said, looked behind him at his room's door that lood in the distance, and then followed Finn down the stairs.
…
In the lowest floor of the mansion, in the underground cellar, there were two entrances to the bathhouses.
Hanging over the boys bathhouse entrance, a blue flap of fabric fluttered in the draft, and beside that, there was a red flap of fabric hanging over the girls' bathhouse entrance.
It pretty much looked like the entrance to hot springs or sothing like that.
With a skip in his step, Finn headed to the blue flap, but he also curiously peeked towards the red flap with a blush in his cheek.
"What are you doing?"
Kael asked with a twitching eyebrow as he followed behind the pervy boy.
"The girls are also taking the bath at the sa ti on their own section of the bathhouse. I am not a pervert or anything like that, but y'know, a glimpse is a glimpse."
Finn said with a perverted look, giggled all by himself, and then walked through the blue flap to enter the bathhouse.
With a shake of his head, Kael also walked through—behind the flap, there was a small room with just so wooden benches and a door—then, behind that door, there was the changing room.
In there, the rest of the boys were already changing from their clothes—soon, they had nothing else on except towels around their waists and wooden sandals.
Kael took one of the wooden sandals and towels, changed out of his dirty clothes, and then stepped inside the bath.
Steam was already rising from the hot water, enveloping the room in a cozy warmth.
The bath itself was huge and deep, with intricate carvings along the sides—it was surrounded with rock formations that made it feel like a natural hot spring—and there were buckets scattered here and there.
"The reason why this bathhouse is in the cellar is because of the lava rocks underneath the ground. It helps retain the heat and keep the water warm for longer periods of ti."
Finn said.
With a frown, Kael asked.
"You said to that the water would be cold by tomorrow. Do these lava rocks just turn cold every now and then, or what?"
"Haha, you caught !"
Finn scratched the back of his head, showed his tongue playfully, and said.
"I was just lying about the water turning cold. I noticed that you seed busy as you rushed out of the dinner hall, but I think this is good for bonding.
"Here, you can get to know other boys!"
Kael rolled his eyes, took off the towel, and dipped in the bath—it was warm, and he let out a contented sigh—the exhaustion was also beginning to fade away.
The body was lanky—there weren't any noticeable muscles or scars to be found—he had the body of an ordinary young man.
With his rather average-looking face as well, it would be easy to mistake him for just another person in the crowd.
However, despite having an average-looking face as well, his brother, Soul, was able to catch the heart of Arina, who was a very beautiful young woman.
It was because he had the charisma of a Leader, and with that charisma, he was able to stand out in any crowd.
At that mont, Finn cannonballed into the bath, making a huge splash, and the rest of the boys groaned in annoyance.
"What the hell, Finn?"
"This is not so kind of pool. It is a bath, so behave yourself!"
"Hahahaha!"
Finn just laughed and splashed around even more, not caring about the complaints from the others, and then did so backstroke in the steaming bath.
At that mont, the boys were able to hear so sounds of giggling from the other side of the wall—it was a thin wall—and it ca from the girls.
"Ahhh, I wish the wall had a tiny hole I could peek through… Maybe I should make one."
Finn said with a giggle.
"You honestly need to put on so list, dude."
Owen said with a wry smile.
"I am just joking! Sheesh, all of you are far too serious. By the way, Kael, have you thought what job you will get?"
Finn asked.
"A job? What do you an?"
Kael asked.
"Didn't your recruiter tell you anything? In here, everyone will have a job. It's a way to contribute to the society.
"I am working in the herb, dicine, and poison garden—we cultivate the ingredients for alchemy potions over there."
Finn said.
"Is that so? What if I fail to get a job anywhere?"
Kael asked.
"If you aren't capable of getting a job, they'll just send you over to the mines as an Ore Hacker. It's a well-paying job, if you manage to find any ores, that is."
Finn said.
"I am working over there as Ore Hacker. It's a tough job, but it'll help you build so muscles, and it can also be dangerous over there.
"The mines are also called as Dungeons. First, the Blessed Ones have to clear the Dungeons of any dangerous creatures, but of course, they might miss a few.
"If you aren't paying attention, your life might co to an end before you know it if there are any rogue beasts left."
Jeff said with a smirk.
