Chapter 334: Chapter 332: Exotic Fragrance of dicine

Very soon, Ren Xiaoxue brought back the herbs Qin Hao needed. These were common items found everywhere in the traditional Chinese dicine market, costing little money and requiring little effort. You could easily buy them all at once from any well-established large store.

Along with the herbs, Ren Xiaoxue also brought him a al back. Qin Hao devoured the al Ren Xiaoxue brought and then went straight into the kitchen.

This kitchen was typical of rural areas, featuring a large earthen stove, but the room was equipped with everything needed for decocting dicine, including clay pots and other utensils. Qin Hao lit a fire, placed the pot on it, and began decocting the dicine.

Although Ren Xiaoxue was considered capable and helpful, she hadn’t used such rural large earthen stove before. Thus, everything was done by Qin Hao himself.

Soon, those ordinary herbs, strictly following the prescribed sequence, were added to the pot by Qin Hao. He constantly monitored the fla in the stove, occasionally adding firewood or more water, sotis even adding a few new herbs.

Ti passed by little by little.

The white-haired old man in the room, at first, when he saw Qin Hao decocting the dicine himself, only glanced through the window and then disdainfully closed his eyes to rest.

The old man still had the arrogance of a renowned doctor. Decoction in front of him was no different from showing off a small knife at the door of Guan Gong, showing off in front of the founder.

Therefore, he naturally had no interest in paying attention. But soon, as Qin Hao stayed inside longer, his curiosity was gradually piqued.

Finally, when Qin Hao added the last ingredient to the pot and suddenly increased the heat, the dicinal broth in the pot imdiately boiled violently. In an instant, a very peculiar fragrance floated from the small kitchen.

This aroma appeared for just a mont before Qin Hao imdiately removed the firewood, controlling the heat just after the broth began to boil.

In the small clay pot, the yellow-brown dicinal broth continued to bubble gently under the small fire. The mont the peculiar fragrance was released, the white-haired old man imdiately caught it.

“Could this be the legendary recipe…?”

Thinking of so rumors only recorded in dical texts, his expression changed drastically, and he could no longer remain calm. He rushed directly to the place where Qin Hao was decocting the dicine.

At this mont, Qin Hao had just poured the decocted dicine from the clay pot into a porcelain bowl, blew away the heat, and then, while the dicine was still hot, threw back his head and drank it all.

The white-haired old man watched this scene with a dubious expression, and then hurried to the clay pot where Qin Hao was cooking the dicine. First, he carefully examined the dregs in the pot and then checked all the unused herbs.

A thorough inspection followed, and his heart was greatly shocked.

These were clearly ordinary herbs, but that strange aroma just now, he could not have slled it wrong!

Recalling the aroma just now, he unwillingly dipped his finger into the remaining broth in the pot, sniffed it, then gently placed it in his mouth.

This dicinal broth seed a bit out of the ordinary…

But he couldn’t tell exactly what was wrong at the mont.

This ti, the white-haired old man was unsettled. Ever since his dical skills had been honed, he had never encountered a problem that could stump him for decades.

This prescription had sothing unusual, and the way of decoction was even more peculiar!

Imdiately, he anxiously grabbed Qin Hao and asked, “Boy, what’s the source of your prescription? It seems so bizarre to . Who taught you your dical skills? Who is your master, and from which sect is your heritage?”

Qin Hao had just downed a bowl of scalding dicinal broth while it was still hot. At this mont, he needed to calm down and imdiately digest the dicinal power. He shook his head coldly and then uttered four words:

“No comnt.”

After speaking, Qin Hao turned directly and returned to his room. His deanor was even colder than when the white-haired old man refused him before.

The white-haired old man stood there, puffing his beard and glaring, but rembering his earlier attitude, he was at a loss for words, swallowing his pride.

Ren Xiaoxue, seeing his embarrassed look, couldn’t help but cover her mouth and laugh secretly, then quickly followed Qin Hao back into the side room.

The white-haired old man stood in place for a while, then as if he discovered a new continent, hurriedly began to research the remaining herbs and dicine dregs Qin Hao left in the kitchen, feeling as if he had struck gold.

He no longer held the initial disdain and underestimation towards Qin Hao’s prescription but instead felt growing seriousness.

anwhile, Qin Hao, settled by Ren Xiaoxue, lay peacefully on the bed and soon fell into a deep sleep.

Qin Hao slept directly until evening. Upon waking, he imdiately felt much better physically. His injuries were also completely suppressed, heading toward recovery.

Seeing his physical state improving, Qin Hao let out a long breath of relief. After all, the root of all danger now was his severe injury that had caused him to lose combat capability. If he regained his strength, given his abilities, he would naturally not need to hide like this.

Upon seeing him awake, Ren Xiaoxue ticulously helped Qin Hao prepare dinner. This al was shared among the three of them, along with the white-haired old man.

After witnessing Qin Hao’s strange dical skills, although the old man couldn’t bring himself to ask Qin Hao for advice, his attitude towards Qin Hao improved considerably.

After dinner, Qin Hao decocted the dicine once more, this ti without avoiding the old man at all.

The white-haired old man stood there with an expression like he’d seen a ghost, watching Qin Hao’s completely unconventional way of decocting dicine.

Several tis, he wanted to voice his doubts, but recalling that peculiar fragrance, he bit back his words. When that strange aroma appeared again during the second ti, the old man was almost ready to jump for joy.

His eyes fixed intently on the dicinal broth, yet before he could continue observing, the aroma vanished as quickly as it appeared.

Having shalessly observed Qin Hao’s entire decoction process, the old man felt even more perplexed. He was utterly bewildered and filled with questions.

Although he had morized every detail and every critical point of Qin Hao’s thod, precisely because of this, the old man was increasingly convinced that even if he repeated Qin Hao’s decoction process using the exact sa herbs, he wouldn’t achieve Qin Hao’s level, nor produce that peculiar aroma.

Where did that aroma co from, and how did the dicinal properties in the broth change? For a while, the old man’s mind was full of these questions as he stood by the stove, racking his brains in frustration.

After a long ti, the old man seed to have thought of sothing. His eyes widened as he urgently asked, “Who is your master? Tell ! Who taught you your dical skills?”
