Zhuo Yuqing returned from the mountain, and there was an unread ssage on the phone on her bed. She hurriedly picked it up and opened it; it was sent by Bai Chengxi.
"Are you asleep?" These simple three words seed to carry a lazy breath with them.
Both of Zhuo Yuqing’s hands were covered in soil from digging holes; she quickly washed her hands and held her phone, replying swiftly: "Not yet, why aren’t you asleep? You have a flight tomorrow."
"Can’t sleep." Bai Chengxi leaned against the headboard, without closing the curtains, quietly staring out and suddenly felt a bit reluctant to leave the city tomorrow.
Zhuo Yuqing quickly replied: "Why can’t you sleep, are you too excited about going back tomorrow?"
Bai Chengxi stared at the text for a while,
Holding her phone, she kept looking at these three words and the more she looked, the more she felt joyful.
They had been married for so long, yet he had never said such explicitly sweet words before; this was the first ti he spoke like this.
Zhuo Yuqing didn’t know how to respond for a mont, and bit her fingertip for a long ti before typing on the screen: Can I go back with you tomorrow?
After a while, Bai Chengxi replied: No need, you stay and accompany your parents, I’ll go with my assistant.
"Okay."
Zhuo Yuqing curled up under the blanket, the bedside lamp was dimd, "Go to sleep early."
However, Bai Chengxi had no intention of sleeping; conversely, chatting with her intensified his feelings of longing, imagining her now wrapped in a blanket, her body still emitting a light fragrance after a bath, her fair fingers tapping on the screen, his lower abdon suddenly surged with an uncontrollable fla.
Bai Chengxi placed the phone on the table and turned to go to the bathroom.
Zhuo Yuqing waited for a long ti without any reply from him, sending several question marks in a row, all sinking like stones in the sea.
"He couldn’t have fallen asleep." Zhuo Yuqing muttered to herself then set the phone aside, staring at the ceiling, yet she couldn’t fall asleep either. They were clearly in the sa city, under the sa night sky, yet felt worlds apart, which inexplicably felt sowhat lancholic.
A voice seed to whisper in her heart, she really wanted to be by his side, just like each long night before, falling asleep next to him, waking up in his warm embrace.
This intriguing thought surged out uncontrollably like opening a floodgate, and Zhuo Yuqing suddenly sat up, turning her head to look out the window, and in a few seconds’ consideration,
Zhuo Yuqing tiptoed to open the door, looked around the corridor to make sure no one was there, then quietly headed downstairs. The lights in the living room were off, indeed they had gone to sleep.
Zhuo Yuqing didn’t turn on the lights, walking out the door shrouded by the night until she reached the entrance of the community, and she suddenly rembered sothing, she couldn’t drive, and this was a villa district.
She sowhat regretted not learning to drive, but she really disliked chanical things, lacking the genetic talent for design like Qiao San, showing no interest in these cold steels.
Zhuo Yuqing hesitated at the doorway for a while when a security guard ca out from the security room, calling from a distance, "Miss Zhuo, it is so late, are you going out?"
The security guard recognized her; the people coming in and out here were either rich or prestigious, and they rembered every face.
"I was thinking of going to the city. I’m not sure if I can still get a cab." Zhuo Yuqing rubbed her sowhat red palms from the cold, having forgotten to wear gloves when she left.
The security guard said, "It’s rare for taxis to co here, and especially at this late hour, it might not be safe to call one. Miss Zhuo, is there sothing urgent that you need to go out for?"
Zhuo Yuqing sighed; actually, it wasn’t anything urgent. After Bai Chengxi sent those three words, she impulsively ran out, but now, cooled by the night wind, half of her impulsive excitent was blown away.
What would he think of her suddenly showing up in the middle of the night?
"It’s nothing, it’s fine if I don’t go out." Zhuo Yuqing was already thinking of giving up, about to turn back, when a beam of car headlights shone in from outside, followed by a taxi stopping at the villa’s entrance.
The security guard happily said, "There’s a car, Miss Zhuo."
A middle-aged man, reeking of alcohol, staggered off the taxi, clearly too drunk to be brought back by the car; the driver collected the fare and was just about to leave when the security guard quickly ran over, holding the car door, "Master, to the city."
The driver, who was worried about having to return empty-handed, imdiately nodded his head: "Yes, yes, yes."
The security guard waved at the stunned Zhuo Yuqing: "Miss Zhuo, co over here."
Zhuo Yuqing did not expect the security guard to be so enthusiastic, nor did she expect to really encounter a taxi in the dead of night, maybe it was just fate.
Dragging her suitcase, she walked over and thanked the security guard, who waved his hand dismissively and then lowered his head to speak to the driver, "I’ve morized your license plate and what you look like, you better not have any bad ideas, otherwise, you won’t be able to escape."
The driver gave a wry smile, "I’ve been in this business for over a decade, I’m more afraid of passengers robbing than anything else. Young man, rest assured, I guarantee to safely deliver this lady to her destination."
"That’s good then." The security guard stepped back to let the car through.
Zhuo Yuqing rolled down the window and waved to him, watching the large clock tower slowly disappear from view as the car left the villa area, and only then did Zhuo Yuqing wake up from her trance. Was she really just dragging her luggage to find Bai Chengxi?
She liked Tang Tianyou so much before but never took such initiative. Or rather, her affection for Tang Tianyou was more based on childhood friendship. Otherwise, why didn’t she confess to him after all these years? They weren’t real siblings, even if their parents objected, what can they do? True love is invincible.
The car gradually drove into the downtown area, where Aus City was still in its bustling nightlife, just beginning.
Zhuo Yuqing took out her phone thinking of sending Bai Chengxi a ssage, but eventually she gave up. She planned to surprise him with her sudden appearance, finding entertainnt in watching his shocked expression.

Bai Chengxi took a cold shower to quench the heat in his body, thinking about her appearance the whole ti, almost giving in to temptation.
Never has a woman possessed such allure that just thinking about her would be enough to release his emotions.
Bai Chengxi dried his hair and sat on the bed, picking up his phone to see that Zhuo Yuqing hadn’t sent any more ssages, seemingly asleep.
He was going to return to Aus City tomorrow, and she would stay in Aus City. Actually, he really wanted her to go back with him,
so in the morning, he could open his eyes to see her jade-like face, like an aperitif that instantly refreshed him and energized his spirits.
Bai Chengxi idly scrolled through his phone, reaching her friend circle and saving a few of her selfies into his phone’s gallery.
The flight tomorrow morning was at nine o’clock; he still wasn’t sleepy and walked to the living room intending to watch so television, but just after he took a couple of steps, he heard a knocking sound, urgent and rapid.
He walked over and opened the door, standing outside was Su Yingluo’s assistant Xiao Lan, who was panting heavily. As soon as she saw him, she imdiately said, "Mr. Bai, it’s bad. Yingluo’s asthma has flared up again."
Xiao Lan nervously finished speaking and realized Bai Chengxi seed indifferent, not showing the anxious, hurried reaction she expected, his calmness made her at a loss for words.
"She wouldn’t be without her dication. If she didn’t bring it..." Bai Chengxi turned to walk back inside.
Xiao Lan imdiately brightened up, thinking Mr. Bai was going to fetch his coat to take Yingluo to the hospital.
However, Bai Chengxi’s actions were contrary to her expectations; he fetched his phone and said sowhat sarcastically, "If she didn’t bring her dication, I can help you call an ambulance."
Hearing this, Xiao Lan turned pale, shocked at how heartless Bai Chengxi could be to the point where even in Yingluo’s asthma attack, he could remain unflustered; she began to doubt whether Mr. Bai was still angry or had long stopped loving Yingluo.
Xiao Lan was stunned at the door, forgetting to react, until Bai Chengxi spoke up, "Isn’t it an asthma attack? Do you still have ti to stand here?"
Xiao Lan opened her mouth but before she could speak, a cold voice ca, "Chengxi, must you be so heartless?"
Su Yingluo walked out from the corner, her complexion not looking good, even slightly sickly pale, she looked at Bai Chengxi, her eyes filled with disappointnt and sadness, "Xiao Lan is right, I did have an asthma attack, but it’s not severe. I’ve taken dication and it’s much better now. I just wanted to see if I still ant anything to you."
"So, what did you see?" Bai Chengxi leaned against the door, his deanor still cold, which deeply hurt Su Yingluo.
She lowered her voice and said to Xiao Lan, "Xiao Lan, you can go back first."
"Got it, Yingluo." Xiao Lan left reluctantly, casting a worried glance at the two of them, swiftly walking away.
As soon as Xiao Lan left, Bai Chengxi moved to close the door, but Su Yingluo suddenly stepped forward,
"Chengxi, don’t be like this, what else do you want to do? Tell ,
